Absolute respect for a player with limited pedals.
Cypress - "limited" in the number of effects not $$ volume. FYI- I've seen many players, amateur and pro with pedals boards far more expensive. Heck, you can spend $2k on power supplies and switching alone. If you're getting hung up on money, you're in the wrong hobby. People in this hobby will spend $50k on guitars made in the 60's that are beat to death and pay $7-10K to have a company beat up new guitars to make them look like...old beat up guitars.
It is great to see a young guy playing the blues with passion. Well done! You board demo was great too - just the basics.
1980 Jimmy Vaughan is obviously his idol.
Awesome player and a really nice guy. Thanks for this pedalboard tour with Laurence
What an adorable, talented young man!
Amazing young man. More pedalboard tours please!!! :)
wow love that royal blue. totally gonna get one!
razor sharp tone! great!
Fast rotary setting sounds like 'Yer Blues'.
I've got a Neo Ventilator I on my board. Great pedal.
Great sound!!! But isn't the KoT a Bluesbreaker-style pedal?
Both pedals are mentioned on the AnalogMan status page, but the KOT is a pedal unique to both, as the sound they were trying to imitate was heavily modified pedals to begin with. Having been on the waiting list for a year now, and based on production, will probably be on for another, I've read the page a lot. [Sorry Dan, I mean no offense to AM, but that wait time is ridiculous in 2017 unless they want the wait. Not a complaint, as there are a lot of nice drive pedals out there now. But, to read the BS story about the time it takes is offensive to people on the list]
stackhouse22 The KOT is a BB-based pedal but he probably just said it was a "TS" because the KOT has that mid bump that everybody associates to a TS.
mad style
Nice video
Hmm.. Ofc he sounds really good, but i"m kinda tired of all the start jimi/stevie guitarists. I mean, I like them both a lot, but it sounds a lot like something we all heard so much. (I was in that phase for a long time as well)
Great!!!
"'Neon' ventilator" & the king of tone a tube screamer?? The Leslie "a big old pedal"???
Pedant.
Nice guy and great player. The braces and neck chains look contrived though... I bet that was his manager's idea to make him look older and more bluesy!
ForViewingOnly Braces????
Is that a Higher gain KoT? The LED Lights are both really redish, as usually one os red and the other o e is a bright Yellow...
i dig it
cypress dobro ....lol...
cypress dobro wanna feel them? extremely hard, they are
Who made the strat?
That's a Probett!
Another blues guitarist
Sounds average run of the mill stuff to me. .... but kudos all the same dude.
dereksmallsuk What a back handed compliment...lol
likeable cat....
What amp is that?
fender tweed deluxe
Matt Fuller Thanks man!
lady skeletal structure
For the next one, clean those pedals up a bit. They have beer stains of the last dozen of gigs on them, not a pretty sight.
The minor pentatonic scale, how original 😴
