    I’d just strongly recommend to not use an aftermarket starter. I put a new WAI starter shown in the video in my Accord. Even though it looks the same, it cranks the engine at a different speed and messes with the crankshaft position sensor. It’ll take a lot more cranks to start (sometimes not even start) and drain your battery. I know OEM Honda starter is expensive, but get only that, either new or from a junkyard. I hope this helps!

      I 100% agree with you. This was something i needed to do right away to get my daily driver back on the road. I would also suggest going with a better well known brand or even OEM. Please subscribe for more videos ✌️

      Unfortunately my starter died on a Sunday (worse day ever to have vehicle problems). Luckily I have a mechanic friend that told me to get a starter and he would install it so I could have my car Monday. I got a Duralast Gold. I have about 10k miles on it and so far, so good and car starts smoothly. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    Damn Honda. These were in the front, under the intake on the 2.4Ls. Now they moved them to the rear similar to the Civic 1.8L starter replacement.

    I highly recommend NEVER go under a vehicle when using a hydraulic or any kind of jack! Always use jack stands! Always chalk wheels (front and back of wheel)!

    • @fixithoney
      @fixithoney  7 месяцев назад

      I agree 100% with your statement. What i meant to say was "stands" but said "jacks". I had 2 stands under the frame rail and left the hydraulic jack at the lifting point. Thank you very much for the comment and please subscribe trying to grow the channel ✌️

      Get your battery tested. When your starter is faulty, your starter and alternator will both fail. Your alternator will fail because the starter is not cranking voltage to the alternator. Because of this, your car battery will deplete much faster. I go to autozone for this test. Autozone, O'reilly, Advanced Auto Parts, Napa Auto Parts are some stores that come to mind if you need replacing. I always buy new parts, never remanufactured.
