- I've been messing around with a 60 card plant list to some success recently and after finally playing an event with it (even though local level), with no upcoming YCS events for me, I thought I'd showcase it. With the snake eyes dominance we're seeing in Yu-Gi-Oh right now, this is my take on how to beat it with plant!

Great deck, I built this deck nearly identically back when Aroma support was announced. Means nothing but feels good to see you smashing people with it.
Glad to see this list. I devised a very similar list that I have been very happy with. Once I figured out the aroma blend one card combo I knew it was insane.
I thought there was no hope for plants, but i need to learn to never count out the real rikka queen.

I've had a couple of people ask me if I'll play Plants now that Konami hit it, mostly by others who know how much I loved Rikka Sunavalon or have played the deck themselves. My response was always something along the lines of. "Jess swears it wasn't dead in her reaction to the banlist, so I'll let greater minds like her cook and see what she comes up with".

From 40 to 50 to 60 card deck list. We legit miricle fertilizer'd our main 😂 great list!!

I got my first OTS win with the new plant deck playing 55 cards, however super reassuring to see the lists were basically identical!

Amazing list. A friend of mine also cooked up a 60 card list that's similar to this one, but he used Dried Winds which is busted in the deck imo. Also His list also runs both Aroma Marjoram & Synchro Marjoram, and it ends on a board with like 9 interruptions. It's really good, and very consistent. I'll probably take both of them and make my own, I like certain things about both.

I've actually been playing 2 sowing and blessed winds in my plant deck. Blessed winds can put dryas back into the extra deck and gain you life (so an extra jasmine search), and with dryas back in the extra deck, you can use it in a grind game.

Glad the plants aren't dead, this deck is the only one where I've never been beaten if I managed to build the full best combo board. If you make it that far, you just win.

Love the list Jess! If we open two blend, do we just discard blend to activate blend? I’m personally a fan of using blend to discard regulus then give Lily the Omni effect to fully play around super poly
Also probably swapping out phantazme for nib since I’ve been seeing just as much voiceless as fire

Curious to hear your opinion on the horus engine in this deck. I found it helps you push thru boards. I also like that worst case scenario you can make a teardrop to trigger konkon. Also 3 blend as a starter is busted can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks for the profile! Id love to hear you go over the VV matchup. I actually think plants have a decent matchup into fire decks, but VV feels really hard.

It's actually possible, but keep in mind that with the same ratios and maybe adding Blessed Winds to make sure your Aroma Blend doesn't become a brick, you won't have non engine. Your going 1st will be extremely consistent though.

How does aromaseraphy Angelica gain you 8300? If you mean puts you to at least 8300 then that makes more sense. If im missing a combo that just lets me end at 16,300 life points please let me know.
Im curious about side patterns with the fairly heavy handtrap lineup yet deciding for a more boardbreaker approach in the side. Do you keep the handtraps going 2nd into fire or do you switch to the board breakers?

i think blessed winds is the best winds card because it has multiple effects to gain life points and 1 of those can send dryas from grave to extra deck

Have you tried putting vesiculo and aroma healing? Traptrix Vesiculo is searchable from glamour so it's a lvl4 body and another search with jasmine

maybe fire attacker + impulse in side instead of phantazmay? or in general, just side deck phantazmay and put something else in the main is what I've been trying. Phantazmay feels really good against fire decks
Very cool list. I’ve been getting into plants lately because of the Raika cards, and even though I’m newer to the deck, our lists ended up very similar.
I’ve been a huge fan of Aromage Margoram and Seraphy Margoram and Blessed Winds, but I also get that that’s 2 more bricks that you may not wanna run.
We need a combo guide, plz
First: Does this deck like to go first or second? Secondly: Confused why no blessed winds or back row hate. I think BW works really well in the deck putting back Dryas or whatever you need also using to summon back magnolia after using rosemary/magnolia for bangalancer is busted. I also play one marjoram in the side deck for the syncro marjoram to make a dragoon protected board. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these things. Great video though.
Definitely a going first deck, turn one board is as close to unbeatable as you can get without actually ftking.

A Friend of mine and I recently started playing rikka and we are unsure, if you can tribute uneffected monsters with a rikka monster while konkon is on the field. Can someone help us out?
Right here m8; you can't do it, sadly. For if it was the summoning condition, like a Kaiju, that'd work - but sadly, KONKON is the card "affecting" the whole field, and so, it doesn't affect, well, unaffected monsters. Played my fair share of games against raidraptor, so I know.

Interesting list. Still plays head-first into every handtrap in the entire game of Yu-Gi-Oh. Droll, Nibiru, & Evenly (especially since you'll be seeing the therions less and you'll be plant-locked far more consistently) are still devastating, Ash on Sowing is still big, you still blow through most of your extra deck turn 1, etc. etc. So the problems of the deck are not solved. Unfortunately I would wager you were not handtrapped correctly, which is very common for this deck especially in pile form since pile decks are good at throwing multiple engines at an opponent and they don't know what to hit sometimes. But you do seem to run into opponents that interrupt you incorrectly, for example many of your featured YCS duels had your opponents interrupting you incorrectly or in the case of your last EU championship, just straight up misplaying (that Kashtira player should have been the champion, no offense, but that was a 1-in-a-million misplay, you're very lucky). Otherwise they would have won easily. Luck appears to be on your side. The additional extenders/bricks certainly raises the ceiling of the deck, I can see why the additional gas helps, but lower consistency in seeing non-engine or insulation plays plus the added bricks is questionable.
I doubt this list would be successful in NA.
