Curious about holding branded fusion... I always thought of it as hand trap bait so your normal lines get through, so you'd use it first. What you're saying is to use it after you've been HTd already? Like your diviner example makes sense, but what if you NS Lo, or you have to use barrier first if you don't draw a normal summon, or have to saff queen first for a ritual monster? Do you still always hold branfu in those types of hands?
@@speak2ryanso another line with branded fusion is if you open lo and branded fusion. you go normal summon lo and use effect to place barrier. barrier effect to search saffira. if they droll you there you still have full combo with branded fusion because you send albaz and skull guardian. then you activate saffira dump ritual spell then add skull guardian from grave to hand
@@KingsCards21 In case you open Lo with fusion and would have no follow up if she gets negated then maybe using branded fusion first to send trias would be a good play. Since I think the chance they have veiler/imperm is higher than droll.
@@KingsCards21 yeah Jowgen can be a brick but I’ve managed to still win by just normal summoning the Jowgen. Plus it gives you another option with your branded plays to switch up rather than the Albion into Mirrorjade combo.

so i also thought droll was mandatory but with the rise of pure snake eyes it just isn’t a card i want to see. i can only fit 12 handtraps in my main deck and droll was always the 6th best and got cut from main and side deck. i never missed it at all

I think you're absolutely right, I've played quite a bit of pure Snake-Eye online to learn the deck and unless you start with exactly Bonfire, Droll doesn't do nearly enough against that deck. It felt weird to consider leaving it out, but I didn't want to play it just because "I thought I had to."

i’m not a huge fan of talent in the main deck since it doesn’t help me play through handtraps very often where branded fusion does. thrust is only good in my eyes going second to grab branded fusion or pre-prep but loses out to droll. and i don’t really like the jowgen plays because it puts an unnecessary brick in the deck where you should be winning going first without it

i played phantazmay in my deck that topped the regionals but i took it out this time around just to play more generic cards but i do think phantazmay is a fine card
correct they can but at that point all you need to do is play the game. against snake eyes when they activate poplar effect to summon it special summon it will bring itself to field then use its effect chain link 1 then you chain mourner. you always want it to be your turn when there isnt much time left on the clock

bystials are a good call right now. they are also good against pure snake eyes being able to hit the linkuriboh or black witch and putting a body on field to contest a potential apoloussa
I feel that diviner is a much better normal summon over lo actually. Cuz if you get imperm or veilered you can also use branded fusion is a better extender and send trias anyways baiting an interaction. Plus you end with a body to maybe even make IP if they dont interrupt the diviner line. If lo gets interrupted and you don't have a saravuis it can be kinda bad since you cant use it as ritual material basically... Edit: Trias really isnt a brick too much either. Its definitely still ritual fodder for skull basically. I would rather see trias in hand over sauravis (the new one). Since you really don't want to send him in grave since you can't cycle him until we get the new spell in post LEDE. Plus the obvious dodge effect still works with trias in hand
yes yes i mentioned i did the line with branded fusion when they interacted with my diviner several times but there are those times when you dont open diviner and branded fusion and it just feels bad to blind diviner with no follow up
Voiceless has a much better fire matchup than labrynth does at the moment and i believe it is just much more versatile. i would definitely recommend voiceless over labrynth
16:07 do you think it's worth the extra 2 spots in the ED for that scenario? you're only ever resolving BF twice if you specifically go for albion -> lubellion -> mirrojade, and you only go for that the (imo) very few hands you need lubellion as tribute fodder because otherwise you'd just be going -1 instead of albion -> mirrorjade. it's weird because you wouldn't think that you'd need the ED in this deck, but i like the extra spots for link monsters for the same reason that you mentioned: deck sometimes struggles with removal.
mirrorjade is powerful removal, i say i won’t to up but all i mean is i want to test it out and see how well it performs it may not be the answer but i want to test it out more. i dont really see the need for the charmers in the deck honestly. they dont really facilitate many plays. the underworld goddess could also go but those are just my thoughts without testing it
only in round 1. i hard opened the albaz in both game 1 and game 2 going second in the mirror match. however i did normal summon it both games and it resolved both times
i think it is cute but unnecessary. the deck already puts up enough interruptions that you don’t need to play the extra brick in your deck for a win more combo. if you play optimally you should never lose when you have full combo
honestly i didn’t, the more that i have tested i have been able to deal with everything on the fire board except apollousa which the super poly never really handles. i will test with it more just to make sure tho
@@michaeljang7917so with earth golem it only hits two cyberse monsters and apolousa is a fairy. my biggest issue with super poly is the really good fire players are always going to play around it and end on appolousa + arvata with the full graveyard setup. against pure snake eyes they will end on barrone plus amblowhale

not at all. i thought about adding it but it would’ve put me over 40. if you have to lead prosperity you’re not comboing unless your hand is stacked and if you save the prosperity for the end of turn and get drilled you just have a dead card unlike branded fusion you get a nice interruption
@@themoeyouknow4266the deck inherently searches a lot so if you get drolled through your normal combo and hold prosperity until the end it will just be dead in your hand. if you open combo and prosperity you should almost always hold it until the end to dig for non engine

When albaz is banished how will you get your second mirror jade using a second branded fusion
so a lot of the times you’re putting the albaz back in deck with lubellion the first time you resolve a branded fusion
