The sound design in this game is some of the best, most satisfying sfx I've ever heard in a game ever
Finally glad to see someone else saying that. Few things are as satisfying to me as the sounds the cards themselves make when you manipulate them.

Been participating in the beta for a good while. Every update before release, has been more and more engaging, and the new cards and items showed how much they knew the base wanted this type of mode since vanilla.
If you had reservations about the main game, then let me say, Kaycee's mod is likely what you really wanted, but I appreciate the story they wanted to tell before this launched. Give it a shot, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
If you want a good deckbuilding roguelike challenge, i 100% recommend this.
Hell, i can even recommend it only for the main story

Finally got this game and beat it two weeks ago and I was thinking about how the game would be perfect if part 1 could be replayable without just doing story mode and then I heard about this. Inscryption is so good it got me interested in deck building games. I haven't cared for card games much in the past but Inscryption is so much fun.
May i suggest to try the game TEPPEN. it's a deck building card game with Capcom IPs, and it's quite F2P friendly
This is a time/money/space commitment, but Millennium Blades by Level 99 might be worth checking out. It's a card game about simulating the experience of CCGs/TCGs. The main influences are obviously Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh, but there's tons of jokes and references throughout.
It also takes at least three hours to play a full game.
The little "do you like it" at the end was amazing

Kaycee's mod is everything I wanted after finishing Inscryption, especially the secret final boss
The beta release has given me all I need to know and that it's going to be amazing especially if there is more lore than in the initial beta
I been playing the beta since it was announced and it was already pretty good, my only complaint is that it's not really endless you do have a final boss. But everything else is perfection.
Kaycee's Mod has got it going on.

Been doing the beta since it first launched an every update has built upon itself effectively. It's an excellent expansion for this game.
Really hoping Kaycee's Mod comes out for PlayStation, been playing the game on console and DEEPLY addicted, I need my full rougelike mode
I just occurred to me that the reason this is named "Kaycee's Mod" is because Kaycee wanted to use the game as a "seal" on the karnoffel code, and used Leshy as a gatekeeper. Another way to prevent people from beating the game? Make the game endless, mod it so that no player will be able to breach it.
Or at least I think that's what's going on. I'm not 100% on top of the lore.

From what I've read through the logs I've unlocked through winning, it seems as though Kaycee was just playing the game when she felt like some things were broken and unbalanced, so she modded it herself, even knowing it would anger Leshy
@@followeroftheprince Ah I see. I guess it makes sense, the way the game normally works is that you must just fight Leshy endlessly again and again. I suppose that's good enough for a seal.
I think it's pretty funny that she was at least somewhat aware of the game's magical nature and still decided "fuck it this game is fucking garbage, too many OP cards, I'm gonna change it, sentient video game characters with mysterious power or not"
Played the Beta version of Kaycee's mod, and I'm delighted to see a full release announced! I really really enjoyed Inscryption, and find myself drawn back to it despite the fact Im preoccupied with other games atm 😅

Makes and amplifies Inscription into a rouguelike with new cards, items, effects, and more. It's so good I highly recommend.
Unironically one of the coolest trailers I’ve seen
Putting Corpse Maggot Sigil on the Roach, plus the Digging Mole sigil, and the flying defence.
Takes every damage, and back on the board no problem.

@@kylerivera3470 There isn't. The entire dark story behind Inscryption has been solved already. People, including mat, had to coordinate from around the world to figure it out. And it took some time, but the story has been solved. I won't spoil anything, just watch his videos.
@@jollter I've watched his videos, though maybe I'm forgetting something. I remember it ending with one or two mysteries still unsolved.
Plus, there could always be new mysteries that get introduced.

The reception has been overwhelmingly positive amongst true fans, yes, but I too have seen a few people complaining (mainly on Reddit) about those things. Nothing unexpected, just a small bunch of haters who are going to hate regardless. But they do exist.

If they want to exclusively use Epic, more power to 'em. Or using both, it sure as fuck doesn't hurt to be able to compare prices - even if it's only 10 dollars. You don't need to be an elitist about game-stores, by the gods!

Inscryption is on Epic Games Store! I don't know for sure that it has updated to have Kaycee's mod, but if not I'm sure it is coming. If you already have Inscryption, you already have Kaycee's mod. Assuming Epic has the updated version, you can access it right now.
(I assume the only difference between EGS and Steam was that Steam had access to the beta for Kaycee's mod, whereas Epic probably didn't.)
If you are unsure how to access the new content, you can access it by beating the game or hold shift, k, and m (shift+k+m) on the main menu - this will add a red tile with a skull.

How do you think would certain mechanics of the game work on a console? (Mainly the act three bosses and things like that... I'm pretty sure sony/microsoft/nintendo would not like any game accessing certain things for the sake of those bosses. there's a reason DDLC plus in particular had to have a fake in game computer desktop.)

It really wouldn’t make sense for Daniel Mullins to design and balance an entire new section of the game when a lot of people just wanted Leshy’s section to be a true roguelike experience.
Especially since one involved creating a lot of new assets and mechanics and the other involved using things he already had.
Painfully unbalanced. Is a pity fecundity got heavily nerfed, made it even harder to progress through the challenges

You could mod fecundity back to the base-game version. (Look up thunderstore if you weren't already aware - it's free, despite the "store" in the name.)
I haven't spent enough time with Kaycee's mod to make judgements on the balance - I've been dicking about with mods, y'see - what I have seen is that it is certainly harded. It is meant to be, but nobody is going to stop you from modding the game to play how you like. It's a bloody single-player game, there's no harm in it.
(Further, I'm not personally a fan of nerfing content in a single-player game, people should be able to abuse imbalance then if they want.)
