In dv 2022, out of 114 randomly selected 80 of us got through. For dv 2023 out of 115 randomly selected 81 got through. For dv 2024, there are 347 randomly selected. The registration for dv 2025 was closed from November 7 2023. DV 2026 will open from October first week and will end on the first week of November 2024.

When I reached here, I am really in a state of shocked, I secretly blamed my host here, thinking in mind, “if she would have shared information about how she struggled I would not have come at first place.” I nearly come home, but finally landed up working as an Elderly Caregiver. Here if we have capability we a are free to do whatever we wanted to do, but we din’t received any other support from Government of America other than Social Security Number and Green Card.
I am not intending to stay here for long run. so I decided not to settle here at all. Thus I landed up living with the family of my work only. There might be few Bhutanese here in the State where I work, but I have never come across any one. In NewYork there are lots of Bhutanese and living standards there also quite cheaper compared to Connecticut. Here is too expensive, I don’t by anything thing other than wine & cookies for my offerment stuffs. The bottle of wine which cost $ 15 in NewYork cost $ 21 here.
