My lbz just started loosing prime cant find rhe problem anywhere replaced the fuel filter with housing the sensor on the filter is not leaking. Replaced both lines going to the fuel filter housing. Cant see any leaks anywhere from the tank all the way to the fuel injectors its driving me nuts
My filter housing was part of my issue, there is a short fuel line that started showing wet around the one hose clamp it's in the front of the engine in the valley
I got spoiled with my 1st gen cummins. In 21 yrs. I owned it,the only thing engine wise l had to replace was a water pump. I couldnt belive how easy it was to do & was so cheap to replace l sprung for new hose's too.
My 06 LBZ duramax just lost prime again today, 1st time mine happed it was the Fuel Rail Pressure relief valve had popped once and was weak so replaced that, now a few years later doing it again, so i kinda knew i could get it started by hand pump priming it again. thats when i noticed that it leaked fuel out, looked like was comeing from the priming plunger area itself, not the bleed screw. So i guess my question is. Is that one way you can tell its probably the primer pump seal thats gone out? Ops watched your video again looks like you said that in the beginning i missed it the 1st time lol thank for the video 👍
We just started having paslock issues with the ignition. It will turn over but won't fire. Pull cables off batteries and wait 10 minutes then it fires up
That’s got to help others out Jay. Be safe and be careful
Thank you. Hope you're doing well
I can just about bet that's what's wrong with mine. Thanks man
No problem. 😎👍🏻
I'm still trying to figure out what is causing my Duramax issues. Some think it may be the injection pump. This might be an easier place to start.
Good to see ya Jay!! Nice fix on the ol dirty max!!! 👍👊
Thanks brother 😁
Great job buddy! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for sharing Jay, seems like prices are way higher for diesel parts
Good video.

Great info very helpful
I had to do the same to my Dmax Jay. Also had to replace two Injector connectors where the wires are bent around 180° . I hope you all are well.

Good job buddy !
I just rebuilt my filter pump, 40 below fucked the old seals, works great now,03
@jeffrasmussen7462 yes the cold kills everything
Nice how many feet of fuel line did you buy and is that 1/2’id
@JL-hf6qx I think it was 3 feet of line and yes 1/2
@@jaythe306snowmexicanthanks, yeah that OEM stuff is very expensive!

@jayferris306 I checked those they look dry with no cracks. It will only loose prime after I drive it 10 miles then park it.
@themoody876 did you ever figure this issue out? Same thing is happening to me
@jakeabbott7051 yes had 3 injectors leaking when hot. Not enough to smoke but it was enough to drain the fuel rail to cause it to long crank.
I have this problem now but in the past the vent for the tank stopped up and caused this
Where did you order your filter base from?

Thanks Jay👍
good save.
This happened to me as well I just got a new one and it it’s does the same thing. Super upset with this idea of a pump.
@@Christianismyname i had another issue with the anti theft. It would crank over but not run. Got that fixed also
@ getting trucks that people didn’t take care of is a blessing and a curse lol
gonna have to do this, just bought an lly and loses its prime after only an hour, if not at least ill know its new haha
Check your fuel lines from the tank also. My supply line from tank to engine had a small leak.
Yeah it's outragous what dealers want for simple parts like fuel lines.
They are out too lunch on parts prices
