Brilliant!! So often there is what the people want and what the horse needs, so good to hear this from the pro!

Always a treat to watch an excellent Horseman shoe or trim horses. It's always about the horse where a Horseman is concerned. I have loved your barefoot trim video and we finally have someone doing it your way. Thank you. Susan

I was taught to always make the foot slightly "better" than it is.

What kind of shoes do you wear! The heavy steel ones , aluminum Or titanium or space age plastic do you nail them on or use elastic band or glue them on!! 🇨🇦🤣

Great video! Except for the editor. "Edit that out" means don't include it. LOL

Haha Sandy here, might've made a little mistake on this one... ooops! Left it in for comedic value!

The high nails were to make sure you were well away from the cracked up hoof? So the next shoeing cycle you will have to nail high again, correct?

High nails are good for shoe security and making sure the hoof doesn't break up in case the shoe comes off!

Do you make your own nails as well?

We do not make our own nails! We do make a number of shoes from bar stock that we can shape into about anything!

Rehabbed horses. Specialized in subclinical lameness. Farriers and vets gobsmacked. 90% of horses I rehabbed stopped needing corrective shoes. Why? Hoof growth is instigated by concussion and chronic weight bearing patterns. Change those patterns, beginning with the neck and shoulder girdle, you change the hoof.
