Absolutely well said with the handling element- I'm a stable manager and I've seen that when we've had certain farriers out who would drop the horses feet then those horse would always end up worse to handle, but when they got changed to a different farrier who placed their feet on the ground instead of dropping their feet they all became better to shoe.
Great video, learned something new as I usually do watching you. Quick question, do you only work out of your shop or do you do house calls? I haven’t seen a farrier before you that has a shop set up for shoeing. It makes so much sense and I’m sure having everything there like that has got to make the job easier. Have a blessed day and yes, God Bless America! She needs it.
Mr. Olsen, You're introduction, "I'm having a fantastic day and it's beautiful in Texas !! You're closing remarks wishing people well and GOD Bless America. These are textbook quotations for a successful business presentation, if they are not, they should be !!
This horse is kicking off his career as a barrel horse, and a very nice one at that! We added shoes to support the harder lifestyle rodeoing can be on a horse's hooves, including a lot of hauling, stalling, walking on concrete etc! This was also done to help gain traction on the pattern, where slipping and sliding can be detrimental!
Hi Sofiya! We shoe horses to support their foot and let them feel their best while doing their intended job! Shoeing horses hooves is not in any way painful to them, and can often help them overcome problems within the foot!
@@olsenequinecjf yeah but the barefoot shoes are way better because they do not create any problems like stepping on their front part of the hoof first and many more
Excellent video. This is how a horse shoeing video should be. A full explanation from beginning to ending. Thank you.
Thank you!
I just want to say that I love these longer videos when you explain 😍

What was the purpose in shoeing, in this case? It's a lovely, solid, healthy bare foot. Will they help him dig in more on the pattern?

Very good
Thank you!
Can you do a video explaining 15-20 shoe mods? Name and purpose? Like purpose of an onion shoe vs a trailer vs spooned heels vs suspensory shoe
Hi Al!
We can work on putting out a video on different shoes and in what case you would use them!
Thank you!
sound!!!!
Have you used glue on shoes? And do they work good?
Yes maam we do quite a few glue on shoes in a cycle! We have many competition speed horses that have glue ons that do very well!
@@olsenequinecjf Thank you!!
It was perfect without horseshoes!!!
your sound is out again
🇺🇲
horseshoes take years off horses' lives
This video makes me wanna cry why do you ruin your horses hooves by putting shoes on them 😭😭😭

The words not spoken well, the background sounds are loud or can't hear & who took the photographer was not good!
Why don't you re-right this and make it make some sense???
@@davidcurtis5398 maybe you should take your own advice.
@@danielabackstrom Why, my sentence makes perfect sense.. Yours on the other hand, what were you trying to say???
@@davidcurtis5398 ok since you don't get it, it's rewrite* not re-right. 😂
Good video bad sound
