I don't think people understand it's not a skid loader replacement for dirt work. It's a small maneuver machine that has the lift capacity of a larger skid steer.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 дня назад +2

That mini-skid would be excellent for moving tools around in my shop, but to even rent one is far more than its worth....I just work slowly and carefully with my tractor and pallet forks....but in a larger scale need, for sure that little mini-skid steer is by far a great asset especially in cramped areas, where you can't even get a regular skid steer into....which wouldn't even fit through the door way of my shop....my little tractor just fits through the door way of my shop.....add onto that, so many homes in these camped subdivisions don't have very good access to the back yard, some don't even have a gate to the back yard, so you have to oftentimes remove a fence panel, or a few to get access to the back yard for landscaping and other tasks....so the mini-skid is the right tool for those applications as well. They're expensive, but they're also very versatile, tons of attachments you can get for them to do pretty much any job you need.

Your machine wouldn’t work for me because the stuff we move weigh in from under 100 pounds to thousands of pounds. But I will say you have to be careful and not get thrown from that machine. I don’t think it will happen to you because you don’t seem to run your machines hard. As I tell my fellow employees slow down speed kills.

I think that the mini skid is a fantastic fit to what you do. Just like it is a mistake to use any tool too small for the job the reverse is almost always true. Can't believe that people are complaining about any ads. It's rare that you have to watch a whole ad - and no I won't choose to watch an entire ad even for you! :)

A lot of people don't have the experience in equipment or cant see the entire picture while sitting inside the frame!. After building roads, highways, and site development for over 50 years I've learned some things watching your channel!. And after running bobcats since I was 16 yrs old at 68 now its a pain jumping in and out all the time and the mini skid is a perfect solution, and the fact that you can do so much more than most people think, which I'm sure you will show in the future. You have a great learning channel and the know it alls shouldn't be so quick to judge!.
I'm not a big fan of commercials, but I understand how it works. It's also FREEDOM OF SPEECH!, but it's OK for viewers to use their free speech in negative comments!, it is what it is and fair to all people!.
You don't need any fabric your stone is only as good as your sub-grade and it's excellent especially with a layer of #3 limestone for your base rock!.

I work alone on a 6 acre farm with around 1000 laying hens. I have other equipment too but the Toro Dingo gets used daily and sometimes for hours on end. I use it to load my sawmill and for moving manure / wood chips. Your choice in equipment is evolving and I think you have made some very wise choices. Can definitely see the benefits to the mini skid, especially in the wood yard. Not climbing in and out a million times a day while moving logs for the mill or baskets. And maneuvering in tight area having full visibility. Not even time saving, but saving on your body on the in and out. Not sure on the negativity, but as a mid 20s father, and homestead style person, you do a great job giving an example of someone to look to for solid advice and exceptional work ethic.

Being able to step on and off with ease, get through small spaces, create far less damage to turf, being able to see all around you…absolutely love these small, stand on mini skid steers! And operating this machine in the standing position feels so much more comfortable and ergonomically healthy for your back as opposed to sitting in a full sized skid steer being bounced around while your operating it. I worked for a large landscape company for nine years, and we had about ten full size skid steers…I convinced the president of the company to get us an MT52 mini skid after renting one a couple times for a couple projects and experiencing how much easier it was to excavate for patios and walkways, place balled trees in the holes, drilling holes with the 24” auger, trenching for downspout pipes, etc., etc., etc….anyway, that MT52 quickly became the favorite machine of all the foremen, including the commercial foremen. We ended up getting multiple mini skids and less full size skids.

    - In my opinion you’ve never make a big purchase without weighing all the options. The wide range of comments are the fortunate / unfortunate part of being a you tube producer.
    - You Tube commercials… There are all types of unusual commercials that don’t interest me what so ever commercials like poop / laxative , women hygiene products, kitchen knives etc. Political ads turn off like many others. As you say they buy the bills. They are singing to a non listening choir.

Mike, I find it amazing that folks can't see how useful your new machine is to your way of making bank. The speed, added visibility, and maneuverability of that new machine will more than pay for itself in a short while. Only the short-sighted can't see the advantages of a machine that makes it far safer to do the thing you have been doing with a much larger piece of equipment. Just moving things around has to be much easier now. Lastly, I never really noticed that I don't get ads. It must be the web browser I'm using. I do find it refreshing that you're starting to add more of your views concerning world events. Also, I like that folks get more of what it takes to put money on the table. It seems that many have been insulated as to how that is done. Thanks for all the good work and keep it up. Long Time Viewer from the Sunny Scorching North TX. 🤣

My tree guy uses this machine.
It has totally streamlined his tree crew unbelieveably fast.
He has a climber, a ground man and him on this machine.
They topped ,dropped and cleaned up two 100+ year old oaks from my back yard and dropped two large oaks and topped and dropped a poplar and had everything cleaned up and stacked in 4’ sections for me to cut into rounds in 8 hours.
$1600.00 a day as much as they can get done.
Not a bad price to pay for the sheer amount of work.
This little machine really gets the job done.
He bought his machine used for about $35-K.
It paid for itself in no tiime.
Its low center of gravity is so much more stable than a wheeled tractor.
Its a beast and handled. Gigantic 40” x4’ logs no problem with the grapple.

I have been watching your channel since number seven when you had the 3901 Kabota the box store splitter and the side by side. People don't stop to think how much that equipment saves on time and an aging body. In south Mississippi we use to use oyster and clam shells for our base on driveways and private roads. Our material is a couple hundred millions years younger. Have fun and stay safe!

I’ll admit, when I first saw this, I thought it was stupid and wondered what you were doing, but I watched your video and you explained why it’s a fit for you and it makes perfect sense. As far as a tool, it is more practical for what you’re doing and is a good fit. It’s not as cool as the excavator or, the tractor but as far as specific function and what you’re doing it’s a great option. Especially since you’re talking about going back-and-forth between properties, you can get that and attractor on a single trailer without having to make two trips or leave equipment unattended at the property, it makes a ton of sense.
I wouldn’t even call it a new machine, they’ve had these and industrial applications for decades I think and in warehouses as forklifts they’ve been used forever, but with multiple attachment options, I can remember them at least 20 years ago they may have been around longer, but I think for what you’re doing it’s a great fit And makes a lot of sense. I think it’s just less exciting or cool so in the realm of the Internet, it may not be as popular but I think it’s a great choice for what you’re doing

I was trying to move a 1000 lb safe and a rental company talked me in to renting a mini skid. Worked like a charm. Drove the forks right in the door and set the safe down on pipes. Then I put the bucket on and took out 11 trees and about 25 bushes. Best money I have spent on rental equipment.
