Does the z have a lot of clutch chatter? Or is my inout shaft goin out? It only does it when i let off the clutch and everything in there has been replaced including csc and throwout bearing(pilot bearing). Some say its normal some say its the input shaft what do u think
@@samuelmccloud2954 I think it's normal. Nissan are just noisey. My buddy's 350Z way noisey with a new clutch and single mass fly wheel and I worked on an R34 that was similar.
Hi i just installed this shifter but when i go all the way to the right the shifter rotates slightly clockwise making reverse impossible. When i go all the way left it turns slight counterclockwise, do you know why this is and how to fix???
If you notice a difference it won’t be by much but it’s nice to know the air is going in as cool as can be. One way you can see results is using a IR gun before and after the coolant bypass mod and go for a drive to see what difference that made to the intake air temps!
Hey. You mentioned that the transmission brace softened up. Does that mean that at idle and while on the throttle that there’s less vibration than when you first installed it? Thx.
Did you have to thread the collar onto the shifter by twisting the boot around the collar or did you just press it on? I bought the same collar and shift knob and TS shifter and my knob isn't straight when it fully tightens...I was thinking the company maybe engraved the numbers offset by accident
@@JoeVazquez I figured out the shift knob no being straight... I just threaded the collar down a few threads and then threaded the shift knob on it and the numbers are completely straight when I shift the gears now... Keep making content your videos are great!!!!!!
That’s strange, you have the bottom spacer and spring at the bottoms right? You also installed the bottom bolt under the car correctly? That’s should be enough to get it into reverse
@@JoeVazquez I tried both with and without the spacer on the bottom. I have a black cup which I don’t think comes with the car so maybe it’s the cup thing
People need to stop putting starlight headliners in their cars, it's a trend that's going to be tacky in a short while. It ain't a rolls royce. While you at it also put some underflows while you there 😆

dam youre quick!!!
Bruh…that part where you were at jack in the middle of the drive totally got me hahaha, nice editing and all glad I subbed
You make the best g35 videos on youtube. Keep it up man💪
Thanks man, I appreciate it 🙏
Thank you guys for watching!!! :)
Best shifter for these cars! Nice job.

@@AnthonyJ350 sounds good just figured id ask you since i follor you videos by heart n stumbled upon you in the comments 🤙
@@samuelmccloud2954 That's awesome you watch our videos! How old is the clutch in the car?
@@AnthonyJ350 id say about 9-11 months
I was debating this. Good video. Thank you, Im gonna get one now.
Glad I could help! Definitely worth it!!
Great tutorial - Thanks. What shift knob is that you have/had?
Good info, and thanks for the oil cooler follow up.
quick question if you still see these, what thread pitch is your collar retainer for your shift boot?
Hey man, great video.
What shift knob is that? Looks nice and sleek.
I felt the eight tacos part

I got the stock shifter honestly I really like it. I came from a 2000 vw gti where the throw was badd
The stock shifter is great! What you can do is get a new shifter cup and it’ll tighten up the feel on the shifter!
Also, I like your last name ;)
Nice bro , what about throttle body spacer. Do they work.
Great video again Joe!
Been looking for a new shift boot as well- is this from J-F Customs on eBay? How do you like it so far?
Thanks man! And yeah it is from jf customs! It’s great, stitching looks good and love the look and feel of the material, not your thin knock off!
@@JoeVazquez great. Thanks again keep up the great content!
Thanks man I appreciate it 🙏
Have u done a review on your coolant throttle body bypass does it feel any different??
If you notice a difference it won’t be by much but it’s nice to know the air is going in as cool as can be. One way you can see results is using a IR gun before and after the coolant bypass mod and go for a drive to see what difference that made to the intake air temps!
“can i have 8 tacos please”😭 u killed me bro
😂😂😂
What killed me was the, "top 5 best mods for your garbage can" - a Z1 Motorsports sticker, just so you know it's your garbage can 😆😆
😂
Hey. You mentioned that the transmission brace softened up. Does that mean that at idle and while on the throttle that there’s less vibration than when you first installed it? Thx.
Yeah you’re exactly right! In those moments it doesn’t feel as crazy as it did in the beginning!
I literally just got my Stillen short throw shifter lol
I’ve heard good stuff about stillen too!
what shift knob and shift boot retainer (black cone)is that?
Did you have to thread the collar onto the shifter by twisting the boot around the collar or did you just press it on? I bought the same collar and shift knob and TS shifter and my knob isn't straight when it fully tightens...I was thinking the company maybe engraved the numbers offset by accident
You have to play with it by threading the collar so when you tighten the shift knob it’s perfectly straight!

You should definitely leave links to whatever product you recommend it will help your channel also you will make some money on side.
Great idea man!! 🙏
Where did you get your shifter cup also the shifter.
Shifter cup from z1 motorsports and shifter from pro image racing!
*import image racing
Could you post the link for the short shifter ?
You have the link for ebay for get the cup shifter
Encouraging review. Any updates?
Still just as good!
How do you get the knob to forward
I got this shifter a new cup and new spring and I get a very loud rattle starting around 4k rpms. Did you have this issue?
Double check all your bolts!
What is that screen you have and link??
Since you changed the fitting on the oil cooler is it better?
I might save the change of fittings for this upcoming video so you guys can see what it takes to do it and if that fixes it!
@@JoeVazquez bet because I just got my 350z and I’m trying to see what all good mods looks and performance to do on a budget!
You have found the channel for you haha
@@JoeVazquez hell yea😂
Link for shifter cup?
Dang 8 Tacos 🌮
Haha 😂
might as well get 10 tacos
Hahaha at that point
I just installed this and can’t get into reverse anymore. Wtf?
Go back and check the plate! Keep adjusting until you can get into reverse and you should be cherry!
@@JoeVazquez what plate? It won’t go into it even when I remove everything and try it without any plates
That’s strange, you have the bottom spacer and spring at the bottoms right? You also installed the bottom bolt under the car correctly? That’s should be enough to get it into reverse

Hmm it depends on what brand you have for short throw shifter, I know b&m short throw has a black cup I believe, but oem is a white cup
People need to stop putting starlight headliners in their cars, it's a trend that's going to be tacky in a short while. It ain't a rolls royce. While you at it also put some underflows while you there 😆
I think you’re right, it’ll shift that direction foresure
Bruh, you have ruined the car by using those busted jackstands all wrong. Those are for a solid rear axle, NOT a pinchweld.
Aw man time for part out!! 😩
Damn I'm early.
Hi early I’m joe

Let’s gooo!!!!! 🚀
how is this a torque solution...
Because it’s from a brand called torque solution LOL I’m not trying to solve torque haha
Hey i DMD you on insta, i had a question about a previous fix, thanks!
