For some reason when Slash was walking down the aisle after he finished his speech I was expecting him to go outside the church and play the November rain solo lol
I wanna shit on a glass coffee table and do press ups so the camera man can see my nipples dip onto the glass each time xx... This is what breaks my heart
You could have a tribute to Lemmy on nearly every rock concert you went in 2016/17! Very nice way to say thank you/goodbye or like Ozzy sang "see you on the other side"...
hope slash just kept on walking outside at the end, briefly pausing to sling on the Les Paul and looked to the skies playing the greatest solo in the world to see lemmys spirit to the other side. rock n roll shaman
Damn man, I've never heard a bad story told about Lemmy. Everyone talks about him as a real bad ass rocker, but someone who was still polite and a true gentleman (as Paul Levesque points out in his speech). What I find amazing is how many careers were launched because of Motörhead. Truly one of the most inspirational, honourable rockers in the world. RIP Lemmy.
Lemmy reminds me of a lot of guys the generation above me in UK. I am a northern English working class man. The friendliness, ego less manly man and a great sense of friendship and humour is what you get. Sabbath, Priest, Slash, Lemmy, Maiden...all proper working class English lads...good humoured, sweet spirited and not at all “rockstars.”
you can really tell slash is having a rough time, the guy hates speaking to groups and is really struggling with the passing of hies dear friend, respect
It would appear everyone in the hard rock and metal community loved this man. A true rock and roll individual who loved life and lived it on his terms.
4 years on and I still miss him so much, Motörhead was the first band I ever saw live, that shaped 14year old me so much! Love you Lem, we will never stop listening xx
... apparently being one of the most worshiped individuals on the planet really _won't_ solve all your problems and resolve all your fears. I must say that I now have more respect for him than I ever had before.
Sometimes the top is a very very lonely place. Slashes whole life really is an inspiration. You know the great lemmy had something tto ffo with that character slash has become
Slash was in d MOTORHEAD video "I Ain't No Nice Guy" doing d solo. & Lemmy was duet by Ozzy. RIP Lemmy. The Father of Speedmetal. (Even if they never claim themselves as METAL.)
His voice used to be more higher in the 90's. Back then I thought he had a really low voice but I was surprised when I first heard him speak. Haha. I guess it was from aging.
Crying and feeling devastated does that to your voice 🙁 his voice is still pretty similar to his younger years if you watch any interviews with him over the past few years. A bit deeper and scratchier for sure but not all that much at all really considering the beating he gave his body over the years. So Glad he is still alive and kicking somehow haha. Thank goodness for that pacemaker!. RIP Lemmy, a good fucking soul you were... still are!
Watching this video made me remember something I had for gotten over 35 years. I met Lemmy backstage at an Ozzy concert. It was the first U.S.A. Blizzard of Ozz tour. Wow can't believe I forgot that.
Lemmy a legend. First time I saw him was supporting Hawkwind in Bradford 78. Saw Motörhead about 12 times before classic last up lem/Eddie/ Phil broke up. Classic band!
turlock kid Yeah. Then they say God Bless and talk about faith while wearing the cross around their necks. At least the wake up sooner or later and realize they will die someday and will be accountable.
Years ago , a friend of mine worked as a roadie and he got the chance to meet the band....Lemmy invited him in for a beer and chat! He told me he was very nice (called a spade a spade!) and had a great dark sense of humour...a very genuine person.
R.I.P. Lemmy from me,the UK and the world you are a legend among legends and the true legendary Hellraiser and Lawman. Raise hell up there and if I see you at the bar and pool tables if not well I will always remember you with a glass of Jack Daniels and continuing to listen to your powerful voice singing Motörhead songs ♠️♠️♠️♠️♠️💐💐💐💐💐😥😥😥😥😥😭😭😭😭😭
A lot of god bless here, strange how although Christianity is so uncool and looked down upon now we still in the back of our minds wish for a higher power. Hearing slash say god bless gives me hope and I'm not very religious.
If I remember correctly, Lemmy and Slash were born in the same English town, about ten years apart...? If that's true, maybe there's something in the water----but there IS only ONE Lemmy (a fact that not even death can change).
spencer roberts Thank you! Now, maybe if I move to Stoke, my own guitar playing will improve, like becoming the Hulk from being exposed to gamma rays...?
Tony Jones Probably more likely to take your own life, it seems like a very depressing place! It's about 150 miles from me. It just gets colder as you head north...
spencer roberts Thanks for the warning! I'm on the east coast of the USA, it'll start to get cold here in another month or so and at the first sign of snow...on the other hand, it might be a good place to HIDE after the election here!
We are beginning to lose legends. When they're all gone. This world won't be as fun as when they were here. I'm sorry that the new generation wouldn't even know who's Lemmy Kilmister.
Reverend Horton Heat (Jim Heath) said some pretty cool shit about Lemmy the god at a show. Something about playing a show together and wanting to do a mix up with band members, if that makes sense, (Everyone was going to come on stage and rock the fokk out together). So Rev. said to Lemmy the god, "Everyone is gonna want to hear Ace of Spades." To which Lemmy the god replied "Never give them what they want... Give them what they need." The Reverend went on to say, while looking up to the heavens, "Well Lemmy, right now I need some Ace of Spades!" Needless to say the crowd went fokken berserk. You would have thought it was a Slayer show by the energy of the pit. I will always remember that quote. Also, the movie airheads. For those who know... you know 🤘 Rock in peace Lemmy the god.
Funny Slash story as I was ushering this since my girlfriend at the time was and still is co manager of Motörhead is that Bob Kulick wouldn’t get out of Slash’s seat and it caused a little bit of a scene albeit when my ex came Bob got up REAL FAST.
For some reason when Slash was walking down the aisle after he finished his speech I was expecting him to go outside the church and play the November rain solo lol
omg you just took me on a whole mental trip there dude! amazing comment
Exactly!!
Would have been a sweet moment..Love Slash & Lemmy
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Slash trying not to cry breaks my heart.
True
I wanna shit on a glass coffee table and do press ups so the camera man can see my nipples dip onto the glass each time xx... This is what breaks my heart
Sounded more like he was just nervous, not trying to hold back tears.
I think he's just short on breathe due to his cardiovascular and respiratory issues.
@@stevesharts361 you just got me hard 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
Slash is one of the most unflappable guys in rock and roll and here he is on the verge of tears. Christ you know it ain't easy.
James Fielding he will ride eternal shiny and chrome
Slash is a humble man stumbling over humble words.... God Bless Him
He always seemed shy in interviews
The rockers come and go, but Lemmy is forever. R.I.P Lemmy
Lemmy is God.
All these rock and heavy metal gods payed tribute to lemy makes me cry 😢
You could have a tribute to Lemmy on nearly every rock concert you went in 2016/17! Very nice way to say thank you/goodbye or like Ozzy sang "see you on the other side"...
even the audio set in the funeral using marshall
Only way to honour Lemmy!
hah? what? I think they used lemmys tour speakers
hope slash just kept on walking outside at the end, briefly pausing to sling on the Les Paul and looked to the skies playing the greatest solo in the world to see lemmys spirit to the other side. rock n roll shaman

Eric Engesser are you ok eric?
Btw, The bible says God reserves punishment for judgement day. You don't go anywhere until Jesus comes back.

Rock in peace lemmy.
I just saw Dave Grohl and Rob Halfords speeches, so many other rockstars from opposite sides of the spectrum all showed. It's amazing
Death-wise, we're all on the same side.
Slash seems like a pretty awesome guy.
you can really tell slash is having a rough time, the guy hates speaking to groups and is really struggling with the passing of hies dear friend, respect
Wow slash trying not to cry is just so sad, it just shows that he actually cares about people
Slash and Duff from GNR are actually extremely good dudes
Or lemmy was so loved by his friends
Slash didn't mention the Top Hat Lemmy got him
yeah man out the 2nd hand shop in london
fahd s up
I feel like that would’ve turned in subject to him instead of Lemmy and he was trying to be humble and keep this subject on Lemmy
It would appear everyone in the hard rock and metal community loved this man. A true rock and roll individual who loved life and lived it on his terms.
Metallica, Guns, Dave Grohl. They all looked up to this guy as he never sold out. Someone doesn’t have a price is rare.
4 years on and I still miss him so much, Motörhead was the first band I ever saw live, that shaped 14year old me so much! Love you Lem, we will never stop listening xx
Lemmy gave his soul to Hawkwind and it was never truly whole after they kicked him out
The two best things to come out of stoke; lemmy and slash 🙌
🤘🤘🤘
After his speech, Slash went outside of the church and did a blistering guitar solo
so much love , from all the friends , speakers . ace of spades .respect .
He sounds so uncomfortable expressing himself, must be hard.
Right I’d rather hear a solo🔥
He's always used the guitar to talk for him, so him having to use words for something he is seriously emotional about must be hard
@@bebew.7659 dude what a dick thing to say, he's expressing his feelings and emotions over the loss of a dear friend

I didn"t know Slash can speak. Very pleased he did it for Lemmy.
The fuck happened to Slash's voice?! Man, I don't want him to get old!
Dude is half a century! Time flies man.
Probably trying not to cry dude, happens.
Jesse Sorensen that too.. But Slash is notoriously shy when it comes to public speaking.

Slash and me are the same age and I am a fan since long time but this speech leaves me speechless ... so trivially 🙈
Awwwwww, what a great speech, RIP Lemmy...
Shit speech from Slash... He sounds off his face
He's been clean for years he just doesn't like public speaking.
He was trying hard not to cry.
