I'm surprised people are still watching this video. Feel free to ask me questions here. After a few months of usage, I'll add these thoughts. - This thing is totally worth the $100 if you are like me and tend to not want to grab your phone out of your pocket even for super short trips. - Wired Carplay in this same car is still so much faster to launch... than with this dongle, I haven't timed it but I'd put in the ballpark of a few seconds. - I recall native wireless Carplay in my 2019 BMW (which I traded in for this) to launch in a similarly fast time (maybe a bit more than 5 seconds) - Occasionally, this won't successfully boot up into Carplay. This is solved simply (annoyingly) but unplugging the unit and replugging it back it. Happens ~1/15 times. - I have the unit plugged in BUT I also have another cable for when I do feel like wired Carplay such as on longer road trips. By plugging that cable in immediately, this dongle simply stays unused. - Yes I'd buy it again.
Why is no one asking the most important question... How is the audio quality when using this? Is it the same as wired? Is there a longer delay when changing songs? How reliable is the GPS, does it ever cut out?

Only Apple CarPlay for this device. Also it requires already existing wired CarPlay. No 2016 Kia had that. I’m not sure if that was the question.
@@elgranaino24 Used Google Translate so I think the question is "what do you need for factory browser". That's an entirely separate thing. This dongle is just a wired to wireless conversion thing. If you want to update your car to have different software, you will need to look into a different unit. Good luck!
@@davevolleyball no le he entendido, con lo que necesito de un cable diferente y necesito una unidad diferente, explíqueme porfavor a que se refiere, gracias
Funciona en una tacoma 2017?
No. It converts wired to wireless. It doesn’t add CarPlay.
Will it work on Ford Mondeo 2015?😊
I doubt it. Unless the Mondeo already has wired CarPlay built in.
Does this work on 2011 BMW 528i?!
Probably not. This hardware only works when there is already a wired CarPlay implementation. This just makes it wireless.
I wonder if this would work in a 2015 lexus RCF🧐
I don't think so. The head unit has to already have wired Apple CarPlay for this to work.
Can i connect 2 mobiles ?
Yes but only 1 connects at a time. To swap you’ll need to go through the menu and it’s not the fastest
Can you play RUclips?
Nope. This is CarPlay which doesn’t allow RUclips.
06 tsx didn't have USB yet. my car is a pain in the ass to deal with 😅
Does the touchpad still work as usual or do you have to use the screen?
In the LS? Touchpad is the only interface so yea it still works. Just no haptic feedback.
Is there a AndroidAuto version?
I’m just a random user of this device. I’m sure there is though. Maybe even from this same company. This is a 2 year old product.
Does it work w Android Auto?
Nope. Apple CarPlay with this device only.
How can I buy this ?
I bought mine on Amazon. Search for Carlinkit. There’s a newer version available in pretty sure.
