    I swear that people that dislike your videos are jealous of your skill and dedication. You are giving new life to this stuff while most would toss it in the trash. These electronics can house new memories when they are given a new home. Who the hell would be against that ?

      Yeah that is my goal as well. To repair, restore and preserve video game consoles. Just amazing how a majority of the time, all they need it a thorough cleaning and solder re-flow. lol

      People get disillusioned because of fake videos. There is a channel of an Asian guy pulling consoles out of swamps and trash and restoring them. Comments lead me to believe he was actually reversing the process. That doubt in one’s mind doesn’t make it genuine

    Always satisfying to watch one of these. The N64 I own thankfully works well and is not that dirty on the outside but still could use a good cleaning to look good as new

    Recuerdo que yo también solía abrir mi Nintendo 64 y limpiarla a fondo, en mi colonia era muy común que las consolas estuvieran tan sucias que el botón reset siempre estaba atascado, llegue a pensar que ese botón era pura decoración jajaja

    Putting the cartridge slot on top loading down into the unit wasn't a good design as Everytime the unit sat dust collected on the doors just to dump it in the console every time a cartridge was loaded in....a vary nastalgic trip down memory lane none the less. Nice restoration work.

      Really a ton of old things were built to last. You can buy a working 2600 on eBay for no more than 50$ on a good day.

    Just a thorough cleaning... Not a "Restoration". Still looks like it was dropped down a flight of stairs. People got to stop using the "Restoration" bit, when they're just cleaning the damn thing.

    I have an N64 that is intermittently giving a black screen when powered on and not booting carts. Would that be the cart slot needing removed and cleaned out?

    I beat Mario 64 before the original lol. Love that game! Brings back such fun memories. Although, I still can’t get the big snowman very well. Took me a million times lol. But, amazing game! Plus, love to see Yoshi in the end!

    Can you help a guy with some DIY maintenance?
    Is a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol good to clean a cartridge slot?
    I can't open it up but I can hold the cartridge slot open and use the brush until it's blank from dirt

    Take the auto white balance off your camera, the reflections on the parts keep lowering the brightness of the screen

    Bought one from retro web site it crashes on most games after a little game play or even at start of game play crashes any suggestions as the retro web site has been very discouraged had gotten for x Mas gift and it just never worked and they won't accept it back and give us money .. lameeeee

    There's no jumper pak or expansion pak, and the system will not boot without either.
