I have a game cube a sliver color one over a year now it still works an I love how he is bring the GameCube back to life that's amazing an it dose look like it needs a lot of love an care your videos are alsome ❤❤❤
3:57 By the way if you see the xeno modchip on the gamecube disc drive that's not actually suppose to be there, it only play gamecube imports homebrew and emulators so just ignore it okay? I don't like xeno modchip because the laser is dying so I replaced it with GC Loader.
I'm currious. If the purple plastic where to be faded, can you also retrobright that? I can buy myself a gamecube, but most are faded here in their color. Is retrobrighting only to remove the yellowing?
Retr0Brighting removes bromine from plastic which causes yellowing. It works best in light or white plastics but in theory should work on coloured plastics too. However, in my own experience of trying to improve the look of an indigo GameCube, it's a lost cause. I'll never buy another indigo GameCube as every example I've ever seen has aged horribly. Go for black or platinum as they're both incredibly common.
Wow - this was a magnificent video. Great job from start to finish! Mine isn't nearly in this rough of shape, but it could definitely use some love. Out of curiosity, do you do commission console restoration? I'd love to do this, but don't know if it's worth investing in the tools, supplies, and UV set-up as it isn't something I do on a regular basis.
Man wtf?! You forgot to add the thermal pads or at least thermal paste to the processor before attaching the aluminum heatsink..! This GameCube will just overheat and be rendered useless.. in a matter of hours. I sure hope that you did not sell it... poor buyer... 🤔
OH F NO! WHY?! (wait nvm. could have shown that you added the pads. Good job.) The Processor and the GPU chip needs to have THERMAL PASTE. You'll fry them off in just minutes into the gameplay.

Help me with your likes and subscribing to the channel to be able to bring many more videos of restoration of retro video games.
It's amazing how you got it to look so beat up for your refurb
No new thermal paste?
Yeah he didn’t even clean then heat sink trays
GameCube and Wii don't use Paste they use Pads. Hopefully he just replaced them off camera.

This channel deserves more views and subscribers! Good job & hoping to see more 😄

Love the way this was filmed and edited.
I had a game cube once long ago, I like how the steam comes out of it
Gran restauración para una gran consola
Did scrubbing the purple help with the discolouration? I’ve got a purple one myself that’s almost black on top? Would love to restore it
Retrobrite
@@DragonProtector Cool I didn’t know if that would work on something with solid color, instead of white/ transparent colors.
@@Sacren365 ya I seen it in other videos before.
How come nobody noticed he forgot the thermal pads.
I scrolled down the comments to see if anyone mentioned it. I find it odd as well
In another comment he says there is a thermal pad stuck to the underside of the heat sink.
Amazing
Cool project and great job👍
I wish you could restore my childhood happiness that I had while I still had Gamecube as a kid... :'(

I used to have the purple Nintendo GameCube but then I ended up getting it exchanged for the black one and I still have it to this day.
This was very helpful and super satisfying!
When I’m not restoring GameCubes I’m probably watching videos of other people restoring GameCubes
Hola. No lleva pasta térmica?
Doh! Forgot about the screws for the dvd drive bracket. Whoops
Fantástico! Eu amo o Gamecube ❤️
Mi like brou

the thermal pads are likely on the underside of the heat sink. Mine were.
They use thermal pads not paste. As long as the pads aren't dirty or dried out it's fine. The gamecube does not generate that much heat to begin with.
@@ScarletPanda280the ps2 generated more and still used pads
very good
No thermal paste?
It has a thermal pad
@@VRestoration i would advise replacing them. I did that with mine and it works fantastic
The best console ever created
Never thought I’d see a GameCube that looks worse than my actual, appreciate you cleaning it out after years of accumulated filth for us to watch
Love it
12:38 pusiste pasta térmica? :0
So satisfying, where can I hire one's services and for how much? I'm Canadian by the way.
Im usa but what did you need for yours?
10 stars bro

You forgot to change the clock battery!
And the termic paste 🤔❓🙄
It has a thermal pad, it is glued under the heat sink. that's why it is not seen in the video.
I used to own a GameCube, but not anymore 😔

Looks like the purple also needs retrobrited bro…

All that work and yet you didn't replace the thermal pads! And you clearly tore the existing pad for the CPU smh
All he ever does is just wash the system. There’s no repair work at all. 🤷♂️ amazing how nothing is ever broken. Just dirty. 😂
