I'm excited for you, John. As well as for the average South African citizens in every Province in our beautiful country. May God the Creator of the Earth. Particularly the area within your area of authority. My concern is for small plot farmers; those who have knowledge & understanding & those who would so appreciate to be granted a piece of land for the sake of their homes & extended subsistence farmers. Which I have seen flourishing with the "Farming God's Way".

John an DA need to know that there are about 5000 Agricultural Assistant Practitioners who lost 😢their jobs under ANC government so if DA is serious need to create jobs for that 5000 graduates who are unemployed now

All people in South Africa that want to work on a farm should be able to work on farms no matter their background.
It very very hard work to do it properly
I know a number of youngsters that are working on farms in the USA with a view to gaining citizens and buying their own farms because farming here has become too dangerous.

Also develop a government-backed venture fund in specific to agric.
Agri-tourism could be huge to restore destroyed rural towns. Local value-added processing is non-negotiable. Branding in international arena is another building block. Put a mandatory block on price increases on specific farm inputs and basic foods. Develop safe farm produce sales, online. The most important tool I would like to discuss with you. It is a game-changer, proven in multiple countries. After decades still not noticed by SA government.
As a novice that only wants to make a suggestion that I think may be viable....plaese consider hemp farming !! ...plus the job creation that this could offer ? 🤔😊
