One Joe Jackson Song a day keeps the doctor away!. I first listen to It's different for girls when I was 16, now I'm 60 and almost not a day without his songs
Joe Jackson (vocals, keyboards, accordion) Regina Carter (violin) Sue Hadjopoulos (percussion) Allison Cornell (keyboards, viola, banjo, vocals) Jesse Murphy (acoustic bass, bass guitar, tuba, vocals) Adam Rogers (guitar, acoustic guitar) Nate Smith (drums) Absolute A-lister band right there.
Sublime Music Channel fair comment. My point was that in a day of digitised voice-overs and synthesized music, it seems even harder to spot a fine musician. Genius is always rare.
What a concert! For me too Joe Jackson is one of the best and most talented musicians of our time. May he rejoice us with his music for many more years 🎶
The Great Joe Jackson has proven over and over again that his talent would be relevant in ANY musical era. From The Great American Songbook, Cole Porter et.al. all the way to Rock 'n Roll. Joe plays them all...PERFECTLY and he even speaks fluent French. The Man is a straight out GENIUS!!! Every time I listen to him (both live and in studio) he is sure to impress.
Always the most incredeble arrangements!!!!! who else(but Joe) could do so????. And lost but not least, how he always succeed bringing sublime musicians together. I'am always astonished. Go on doing your thing!!!!!!!!!! Joe& Friends. Bless you all
I consider myself a very privileged man. I'm a Joe Jackson fan since his first album in 1979 and I love every note of every song of every album he made.
I followed Joe since the late 70's, trying to buy everything he produced ...Ha Ha Ha , I ran outa money at 20 or so Cd's . Thank God this is on you tube so I can still l keep up with this most amazing Artist, simply marvelous . Thank you Joe for making this avail;able to p[eons like me:).

For whatever reason I had "Jumpin' Jive" on my mind today while walking the dog. So I thought it would be a good idea to look for a nice concert on YT, and I've found this one. Absolutely fantastic! Such a great music! Joe Jackson rules!!
First time I've seen him live was in 1977 or 78 directly after the publishing of his first Album in "Logo" in Hamburg. May be one hundred people had seen him there. I follow every step of him. Seen him live again and again in Hamburg. Er ist einer meiner allergrößten!!!!!
I heard first time JJ in a cassette player in my father's R5 in the late 70's (I was 10 y.o. more or less). I immediatly loved the sound and since then I keep on search for something new of JJ. GREAT, simply great !!!
I've been lucky to see Joe Jackson solo and with the reunited Joe Jackson Band. This is just another example of how talented and versatile he is. I'm also reading his book for the second time. He's a genius.
I love this man's taste, music selection (old and new) and especially his band. While all are simply superb, being a string guy, I tend toward the guitars and violin. Adam Rogers and Regina Carter are at the top of their game, especially Regina. My heavens, her tone and note selections are sublime! Jesse ain't no slouch; ditto Allison and Sue. Thanks for posting this!
Wow! The version of "Hometown" (52:00min) with the music from Canon D from Johann Pachelbel is superb!!! Heard that never before for "Hometown" in any of Joe's shows. So great!!!
Wonderful performance. I saw Joe in Toronto back in '83 and it was fantastic. His three-sided live album is terrific, and hearing Hometown again really brought back wonderful memories.
Amazing concert - really sad I wasn’t there. A brilliant mix of Duke and Joe! I particularly enjoyed the orchestration of Is She Really Going Out With Him - the tuba and banjo combination were inspired! Thanks for sharing this!
wow...professionally done, great sound & photography. Beautiful renditions of The Duke's songs. A genius at work. Keep it up Joe. Come to the U.S. for you next tour..visit the Northeast please!!!
j'aime vraiment son multivers...jamais tout à fait là où on l'attend, jamais totalement ailleurs non plus et toujours reconnaissable entre 1000. Thanks Joe !
Of all the "new wave/punk" groups of the late 70s early 80s (Costello, Parker, Clash, etc) he probably aged the best, like a fine wine. He was always the most polished musician of the bunch.
Incredible version of "Is she Really Going Out With Him" at 1:34:25. Addition of the banjo is fantastic. Allison Cornell is an amazing musician. Joe is lucky to have her.
First saw JJ at Red Rocks in Denver in late 80's, after rocking it, he came out and did a Jumping Jive set, then crooned us! Like 3 amazing talents in one. His bands are so tight. Brilliant lyrics. And here Nate Smith on drums!? Bonus!!
Thank you for uploading this concert. I went to the first of two and in London and I was disappointed Joe didn't play more British dates. But you gotta see Joe on every tour because they're always very different and if you miss it that's it for ever. Been to every tour since Body and Soul always great value long may he play.
Calidad, frescura y arte lo que siempre a destilado joe jackson, prodigio de buena musica sin importar el tiempo, la moda y sus años. Excelente, viva la calidad!
Just wish this concert would have included one of my Joe Jackson favorites, Breaking Us In Two. Loved it nonetheless! Discovered Joe on KROQ, The Roq of the 80s, and I love his music even more than I did over 30 years ago!
One Joe Jackson Song a day keeps the doctor away!. I first listen to It's different for girls when I was 16, now I'm 60 and almost not a day without his songs
Andre - You have good taste ! Keep it up !
we are brother in age and in artist music Joe Jackson : one regret, not to have seen him on stage!
This is an artist that never gets boring! Such a rich experience, I still hope to see him live in my lifetime !!
You really must get to see him live, I have seen him 4 times, and every time it's a unique experience
@@MrPaulDewdney Thank you i hope to make it happen one day
I would skip the current tour one hour of songs from 1913
Every time I see Joe he rearranges his music. Simply marvelous! I love it, when an artist plays songs differently. Joe is truly The Man
He invented the yo-yo!!
Joe Jackson (vocals, keyboards, accordion)
Regina Carter (violin)
Sue Hadjopoulos (percussion)
Allison Cornell (keyboards, viola, banjo, vocals)
Jesse Murphy (acoustic bass, bass guitar, tuba, vocals)
Adam Rogers (guitar, acoustic guitar)
Nate Smith (drums)
Absolute A-lister band right there.
Musical genius is SO RARE these days... thanks to Joe Jackson for keeping real music alive.
true mr.gray.
Like ALL varieties of genius, musical genius has ALWAYS been rare and always WILL be. It isn't demonstrably rarer now.
Sublime Music Channel fair comment. My point was that in a day of digitised voice-overs and synthesized music, it seems even harder to spot a fine musician. Genius is always rare.
Steepin´out is a jewel, ofr example.
I've been a fan of JJ ever since the 80's... STILL one of my favourite musicians
great
That Night & Day album...
Me too.
Everything Joe does is always "Top Notch."
Rockpalast Essen! Hear him singing Radio, while seeing him in the ❤️GrugaHall
What a concert! For me too Joe Jackson is one of the best and most talented musicians of our time. May he rejoice us with his music for many more years 🎶
Saw this tour in San Francisco. One of Joe's best!
His voice is still going strong for 60 years. His band is super talented!
Great band, great tour. I enjoyed the concert in Cologne of the same tour very much.
The Great Joe Jackson has proven over and over again that his talent would be relevant in ANY musical era. From The Great American Songbook, Cole Porter et.al. all the way to Rock 'n Roll. I consider myself a very privileged man. I'm a Joe Jackson fan since his first album in 1979 and I love every note of every song of every album he made.
I understand....je le redécouvre, il est vraiment exceptionnel !
For me the most complete album was "Blaze of Glory"...maybe I didn't hear all?
I followed Joe since the late 70's, trying to buy everything he produced ...Ha Ha Ha , I ran outa money at 20 or so Cd's . Thank God this is on you tube so I can still l keep up with this most amazing Artist, simply marvelous . Thank you Joe for making this avail;able to p[eons like me:).

Snap. But I had a R6TL!
Still the same search for musical perfection. A great artist that never disapointed me.
I hate to admit that I have never seen any of his concerts...this is just fantastic!
Love these arrangements.very sophisticated.
I've been lucky to see Joe Jackson solo and with the reunited Joe Jackson Band. This is just another example of how talented and versatile he is. I'm also reading his book for the second time. He's a genius.
Garrett, Please tell me the name of his book which you are reading x2. I'd love to take a look see. Thank You!
The name of the book is :" A Cure for Gravity"😉
I love this man's taste, music selection (old and new) and especially his band. While all are simply superb, being a string guy, I tend toward the guitars and violin. Adam Rogers and Regina Carter are at the top of their game, especially Regina. My heavens, her tone and note selections are sublime! Jesse ain't no slouch; ditto Allison and Sue. How awesome is the violinist? Wow. Also JJ is timeless. Love his work!

Invisible Man @37:18 and Be My Number 2 @ 43:00 OMG the painful beauty of these heartaching truthful songs. Bravo Joe Jackson.
Wonderful performance. I saw Joe in Toronto back in '83 and it was fantastic. His three-sided live album is terrific, and hearing Hometown again really brought back wonderful memories.

Fantastic.....What a talent! Great video and sound quality!
Joe always presents every song like a first time composition and changes up orchestrations so curiously.
