  • When it's very cold out, the Neon needs to be plugged in to start reliably. As you will see, a few hours with the block heater makes all the difference.

    I have a '99 Dodge Neon and it's not having any bit of rust or any issues And car wasn't stay in garage, I was forced to paint it after several times going to forest to bring wood for fire . Many are complaining about this car I put it turbo on her and it's great ( with automatic 3 gears , not 4 ). I use it on forest to bring wood home anytime I need , and monthly I make arround 8000 km ...Man check your car, mine it's starting from first even at -30 degrees C . All the noise not should do it !

    Thanks God I do not have this -25c. The problem here is the heat. My Neon do not like high temp. It had a problem with the wires. I that you havesome scratches in the front windows. Do you know how to repair it. Tks!

    When you asked about the chairs flipping down ever being useful I actually have to say yes I have had plenty of time where that being in cars has come in hands such as having a suitcase or hockey bag being to big to fit in the trunk or in the backseat alone so having those flop down makes enough room

    The Plymouth Neon is waaaay better though; I work at a dealership, and had a choice between a Dodge Neon and a Plymouth Neon as my daily driver. Even though they're essentially the same car, they feel completely different to drive. Especially since the seats sit slightly higher up in the Plymouth.
    Needless to say, I chose the Plymouth. It was in waaaay better shape, and it's got power windows, a CD player, and a sunroof.

    I just bought one like this for $500. It has 50,000 miles. Except it’s a 97.

    my neon wouldnt start in cold weather because the spark plugs were bad

  • @mjriedel79
    @mjriedel79 12 лет назад

    Yes, I know for a fact, they are LITERALLY the same car, just different name plates. The seats, fabric, everything, all the same. And you could also get power windows and CD, sunroof as well, I had one in high school and it was a Dodge Neon Sport and had CD, Sunroof and power windows. Maybe the seats felt higher as they were highline trim vs, base trim? My uncle worked on the Neon platform in the 90s(development) and he said also, they basically make them all and stamp them dodge or Plymouth

    Is it really different? I've owned a dodge and a plymouth, same year, can't tell the difference. The dodge was a dohc sport with a really nice clutch and transmission. I liked the dodge a lot better, but then again, it was in our family since it rolled out of the factory.

    That's funny because my neon don't care if its 115 or -30...always starts right up. Should have tried getting a good battery. Or maybe a jumper pack rather than worrying about the interior being warm for you. Power steering is gonna wind because the fluid loses viscosity.
