@@Ndßeoe72i28 the original was very heroic as valstrax in the base form is quite heroic and the rise version was made more menacing as valstrax cannot control their dragon energy and has become violent as a result
Tactical Nuke Incoming: The Monster. Ironically, I haven't seen his "Ambush" attack in Sunbreak much more than once per hunt when he's the main target. In fact, when I see "Crimson Glow Valstrax: Ambush", when he's _not_ the main target, I get this grin on my face as I prepare for a Wyvern Ride - knowing that my target is about to get a nasty surprise. You see, Valstrax always prioritizes the large monster as its target when it enters the area via Ambush. Makes sense, since the large monster is, in its eyes, the greater threat. However, Valstrax gets this one extremely annoying attack to make up for this in Master Rank - he'll hover in the air and thrust with his wing-arms, which have WAY more reach that they appear to. Also, Valstrax's melee weapons, like his GU counterpart, are known for being all-or-nothing weapons - extremely long white sharpness followed immediately by red. They also all deal good Dragon damage. His armor, both in High Rank and Master Rank, has a unique skill called Dragonheart. It's a 5-rank skill that kicks in when you reach a certain HP threshold. You are afflicted with a special variant of Dragonblight - first, you can still do Dragon damage. Second, it has the following effects based on how many ranks you have, which is determined by how many pieces you have on: 1 - At 50% or less HP, your elemental resistances change to 30. 2 - Same as 1, but your elemental resistances change to 50. 3 - Same as 2, but it activates at 70% or less HP. 4 - Same as 3, but you also get +5% raw damage. 5 - Same as 4, but it activates at 80% or less and you get +10% more raw damage. In base Rise, this skill was extremely good. Now...not so much.
@@rosegod444 Then you'll be happy to know that max Dragonheart + max Dragon Conversion = absolutely bonkers Dragon damage when at 80% health or lower. You see, Dragon Conversion takes those 50 resistances you get and converts them to elemental damage. Since you get a total of 250 elemental resistance, you get 25% of that, or 62.5, added to your Dragon elemental attack - and that's before factoring in Dragon Attack or Element Exploit. With the right combination of skills, you can get your Dragon element up to 300 on the right weapons. The 10% extra raw is pretty good too. And now that you can get Dragonheart on charms (up to 4 ranks, in fact!) and Dragon Conversion on both charms and as an armor augment, it becomes quite easy to run this combo.
Valstrax Gear - Epoch with Dragonheart attached to it goes crazy, because it sets all resistances to 30/50, and it's increased by Dragon Conversion, which, depending on the Swap Scroll active does the following: - Blue: adds +3/5/10 resistance (level 1/2/3) - Red: significantly boosts elemental damage output. If you combine this with a Dragon weapon and Valstrax Soul, your weapon goes CRAZY high in Dragon element power the moment you get hit once!
