29:42 "You are not a true Christian unless your soul is full of living desires." This is such fodder for the enemy to make us doubt God's promise, that he will hold us fast (even we we feel dry toward God). We can not always have our desires at 100% Godly, so when we feel lackluster and spiritually flat, are we not still true Christians.
I've listened to so much Spurgeon and McArthur, and I think I know now why I have suffered so much with waves of doubt and fear. I was not trusting God to follow through with his promise to save all those who believe on him for the salvation of their souls, the way Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.

Come on now, he didn’t say you will always have 100% desires for God but what he is hinting at is that a true Christian will have longings and desires for God, it may not be all the time but you will certainly yearn for it. Remember you have now been transformed and the life you used to live you no longer want to live, keep trusting in God and He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus.
