Thank you for talking about this. Having said that, having depreesion or ADHD or any form of psychological issue is not an excuse or justification for rape. Sexual exploitation is not a result of a psychotic mind. If it was, it wouldn't have been a reality for every single woman walking this planet. Im glad that Abha cleared it up. But thanks for making a sincere attempt at spreading awareness.
Kudos to you Amin! Great way of utilizing the platform. The major take away being younger generation needs to open their eyes and ask questions and know how they want society to be for their future generations. Settling for how some things are is just digging your own grave, fighting or rather questioning the system will only make future better.
Being a comedy content creator also requires having the sense of when to be serious and modify your content to educate the audience, this podcast does just that, Respect.
So, this episode is more educational and awareness giving than all the instagram stories I've skipped through together. I had very little information on this case. I was waiting for the right content to educate myself. Didn't expect Amin to do it, and so bravo Amin. You're getting to the youth who are educated enough to watch this whole piece of edit.

the reason for this "civic police system" in West Bengal is , that the state govt. cannot provide and doesn't have the necessary funds for the recruitment of new police constables , even more than that they are actually recruited through TMC inhouse members , they are more of Goons bought by the TMC govt. in the name of Civic police.

As a psychology student I should tell that mental illness is not the cause of these inhumane acts.Yes there are some disorders in which people have tendencies to commit such crimes. But when you talk about mental illness it is not right to say that people commit such crimes.
Yes using mental illness as a excuse to save yourself is wrong .

My takeaway...
There are a lot of problems. Systemic problems; poverty, population, corruption, power hungry mind-sets (in a chicken and egg situation) and some personality problems; apathy, privilege-blindness, lack of a moral compass or fear of repercussions.
What's the fix?
You fix yourself. You throw a fit when something is amiss and you see it and don't dismiss when someone raises red flags! Make noise till you are heard and then till you see change!

What’s more pathetic is that this incident is met with full interference of the bengal government. What justice can you expect when the whole state machinery is corrupted. What justice can a common man expect. Same state corruption was exposed during the Pune Porsche case

Deterrence-Abha Singh has used this word many times during the interview. Fear of law. Fear of punishment is the that will reduce the number of such crimes. And the other thing is societal disapproval. Even today youngsters are careful while romancing a girl from
a caste or community that their parents don’t approve of. So why aren’t they scared of what society will say if they beat up their wives or molest girls or rape someone. Why aren’t they scared of punishment they will face as per their religion. Human beings will only stop doing something because of fear. And sadly there is no fear of punishment among the marginalized and the rich and powerful because one group doesn’t care and the other knows that they can buy their way out of it. Our population is spiraling out of control and so is corruption.

What is mind boggling is a powerful, influential celebrity like salman can afford to bribe the police and get the best lawyers to go scot free. But how is a lowly criminal/ rapist getting backing? First of all, Cancel the court holidays and revamp the judicial system in India.
