Strange world ! He Is a cootimer of Rivaldo and Figo .Analysin three of them careers ,there Is not difference betwen them .Zidane Is today an icon , Thay Just good players .Luis Figo took Real on his shoulders in season 2001 2002 but Zidane robbed all the glory with that goal at the final . ( No doubts marvelous goal , like the goals of Schillaci in 1990 , but today nobody knows Who he Is ) Zidane Is the most overated player ever .He was on top only for his ball controll and elegance and genes (never seriously injured )and probably dribbler there are a plenty of players being better passers crossers goalscorers . He played Always along good teammates .At Juventus he was under the Shadow of a young Del Piero

Your comment is the non-sensical and revisionist take on a legend driven by what I can only suspect to be driven by jealousy. 1. Zidane was Serie A player of the year twice (97 & 2000) and Juventus with Del Piero as his teammate. That award is given by sports journalists, pundits and season ticket holders that watch his performances week in and out. This means that he was the best player on his team. Even Del Piero himself as a Pundit on ESPN said so himself that Zidane was exceptional.
      2. The year Zidane scored his volley he was voted La Liga player of the year and UEFA player of the year, so the notion that He robbed Luis Figo is baseless and inane.
      3. If a 3-time Fifa-player of the year, Euro (2000) player of the year, Golden Ball (2006), French player of the year is overrated. Then I can safely say that you have no knowledge of the game.
      4. Your claim that Zidane is overrated when legends like Messi, Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti, Fergurson, Del Piero, Wenger, Xavi, Platini etc and experts all consider Zidane as one of the greats. But I guess you know better.
I can summarize your comment with this saying "jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius".
