Zidane was Serie A player of the year twice (97 & 2000) and Juventus with Del Piero as his teammate. That award is given by sports journalists, pundits and season ticket holders that watch his performances week in and out. This means that he was the best player on his team. Even Del Piero himself as a Pundit on ESPN said so himself that Zidane was exceptional. 2. The year Zidane scored his volley he was voted La Liga player of the year and UEFA player of the year, so the notion that He robbed Luis Figo is baseless and inane. 3. If a 3-time Fifa-player of the year, Euro (2000) player of the year, Golden Ball (2006), French player of the year is overrated. Then I can safely say that you have no knowledge of the game. 4. Your claim that Zidane is overrated when legends like Messi, Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti, Fergurson, Del Piero, Wenger, Xavi, Platini etc and experts all consider Zidane as one of the greats.
