Probably the most transparent and punchy limiter ever made. Newfangled Audio Elevate.

I got the demo..some drum presets were pretty WOW for punch-but generally too complex for my tech level.. I tried it on a master bus too also pretty WOW!

The best video on this plugin I've seen, I always appreciate your videos and I've become a day-one watcher usually lol. Thank you!

This and DMGAudio Limitless are my go to master limiter plugins, both can be super transparent but one NEEDS to know how each parameter works to use them to their fullest potential

I normally use Flux limiter but seeing this getting such a high praise from you I'll definitely check it out.

For people that say „i dont like T.P“ limiting , they are basically saying „i dont like this extra bit of limiting“ as this is just what it basically
is. More limiting. I never got the fuzz around it tbh but i find it interesting how things like this happen and urban legends are born.
But i will never get into a fight about it. Because it never ends

Does elevate not have stereo separation between channels? If not, do you miss that option?

interesting. Have you compared it with sonible smart::limit which seems to be very good too?

Yes, I think smart::Limit is also very transparent, maybe not as advanced as Elevate, but for me it’s sufficient.

this thing is very interesting, i tend to use it on my drum busses. for the master its sound doesnt quite sit right with me, it almost sounds a bit too clinical

I would guess that the clinical sound you hear is the lack of digital distortion. Most other limiters add distortion that thickens the sound (but in a way that's different from analog distortion). Also if you boost the transients too much with Elevate it can have the effect of sharpening the overall sound. A couple of tips are to only boost the transients in the frequencies you need them but not everywhere else. And in the limiter EQ section of Elevate move the sliders up a bit in the low frequencies.

@@heronislandstudio8054 yeah that's probably it. the main one i was comparing it to was pro l and it just felt a bit more cohesive. having seen the full video now tho idefinetely want to experiment with it more again
