I love this kit a lot, but the joint at the upper arm to the shoulder is a tiny soft plastic peg. Mine broke while trying to rotate the left arm. I kind of frankenstined it back together using a piece of a paperclip and some superglue but the result is I can't rotate the arm. I don't know if I did something wrong or if it's just the age of the kit or the materials used but BE CAREFUL.
Ok this has me interested... and speaking of painting something like this (or any other transformable gundam, like kyrios/arios/archer etc) what paint process to use in order to get scratch resistant paint in the more stressed points of transformation? (rotation and sliding parts) I experimented with acrylic paint on some of my models, great for static models but it's very fragile or gets too thick
I have the Shin Matsunaga and Amuro Ray variants; and I can tell you if you get a chance, the Matsunaga one is AMAZING (the "Grey" Zeta - even tho it's orange-yellow, lol), because it's MUCH different. Amuro Ray's is a cool pink/gray and white color swap version. Both are just as rock solid and excellent as the OG Zeta 2.0. Love them; they're center pieces (especially Matsunaga's) for sure.
Wait that thing is from back in 2005?? I think I got the 1.0 back around 2008 because for some reason they were the only ones available at the store and that kit REEEAAAALLY makes it clear the reason why there was a 2.0

I love the MS mode of the zeta gundam, and i yes that transformation is a headache. So i fixed mine in MS mode, and fixed/glued all weak points that disabled the transformation.
Way back in 2001, I bought a Z Gundam HGUC Wave Shooter kit, which was pretty cool with its multi-colored molding and fairly simple transformation mechanism. I loved it until one day one of the leg struts snapped and I had to throw it away. Seriously considering buying this kit now to replace it.
I gotta be one of the few who prefers dry transfer decals. I can never get water slides to work; more like "water scrapes" or "water slip and gone forevers". The dry transfers, I just use my thumbnail. I wish they still made them.
I own the MG Zeta Plus A1 I git it preowned and it is very damaged but I love that kit I’ve been meaning to get this kit and a new A1 to build and keep the old one as the plane as that is the only mode it stays together in because it’s the waste that’s damage lol. I feel this kit should get a 2.5 using better plastic and better colour separation for the yellow and greys under the skirts but keep the rest of the kit the same. Have you built a MG Zaku II 2.0 I own Char’s Zaku II it’s amazing! Also another kit that’s cool is the old HG Gaplant it’s plastic feels horrible the colours are bad and the beam is moulded in the same green as the mobile suit, but the kit is well designed and for a HG 2003 and dose the transformation with out partsforming something modern HGs and even MGs fail to do!

I'm interested on it but yesterday was announced the Gundam Z ver.k and I have doubts.🤔
The Zeta Gundam is one of favorite MS and I use it in mobile suit gundam battle operation 2 all the time in quick matches
laughing at the 2 fingers you waved when transforming the kit. hahaha
The Zeta Gundam is in my top 5 for mobile suits I hope are the new Ver. Ka.
There's the Pale Rider, a 2.0 of the Rx-78, Ground gundam, Zeta Gundam, and Tequila gundam, in no particular order
What are your thoughts on the newly announced Zeta Ver Ka?
@@eitanr I think it looks great! I love how vivid the colors are, but at the same time it doesn't seem like that much of a big change compared to the 2.0 in the visual department. I'll still probably pick it up though
10:19 I mean...isn't that the idea behind the action base 4 & 5?
I love this kit a lot, but the joint at the upper arm to the shoulder is a tiny soft plastic peg. Mine broke while trying to rotate the left arm. I kind of frankenstined it back together using a piece of a paperclip and some superglue but the result is I can't rotate the arm. I don't know if I did something wrong or if it's just the age of the kit or the materials used but BE CAREFUL.
Can't wait for either/both P-Bandai Zetas with their 120+ sticker sheet each to make Mecha cry his way out of building them
Re-watched this because of the new Zeta Ver. Ka. Please review the new ZETA Ver ka and compare it to Zeta 2.0 side by side. More powers man!
OMFG, the bald Barbatos killed me XD
I really wasnt expecting a hair loss ad from a gunpla review video, but I'd be lying if I said that the barbatos didn't make me laugh out loud🤣
Making me excited about the ver ka. That super mega blaster is not with it :( a little sad that they did not even just grab the files from this one..
My First ever Gunpla back in 2013, just straight go to MG even i don't have experience build a gunpla before MG Zeta 2.0 :D
I think I got the 1.0 back around 2008 because for some reason they were the only ones available at the store and that kit REEEAAAALLY makes it clear the reason why there was a 2.0
The only issue I had with this one is it didn't stand too well on its own so it didn't work too well trying to make him stand on the catapult
My no 1 suit. Zeta has a timeless and slick design.
I just purchased the zeta today. It will be my first kit :)
Funny that just yesterday i was browsing for Zeta 2.0 reviews, and I see that there is no review from you. So I went and watched jabman's review. And now here you are, in less than 24 hours, reviewing the kit i was wandering about just yesterday
I have found that the rifle tends to be fitted more for the backpack slot in wave rider mode, than for mounting on the arm.
I still remember Jabman can't even have this kit standing properly and call it a bad balanced kit while he built almost 200 MG kits....
Hey Mecha, To be Honest I Really Like when you do a Cameo/mini Drama with your Gunpla I really like it and laugh at it because it's funny 😂😂, I hope you can do more Gunpla Drama's keep up 🔥🔥
I've built this 13 years ago, and it's still pretty good. Miles ahead of the 1.0 i too own.
I've yet to build this due to fear of transforming it. How is it? That transformation step with the legs hip joins and skirt part scares me.
i guess this is why a Zeta Gundam Ver Ka wont be happening anytime soon...
The shoulders ball joints on mine have literally zero friction and fall off from gravity alone. Other than that tho, I love it.
0:48 When you had enough sh*t about bad gunplas.
isnt it suppose to hold on to both lateral handles on the mega launcher? maybe thats why it looks a bit awkward holding it on the lower handle and one on the side
I needed this review thanks I was designing between hguc or this 2.0 and now my answer is more clear
SD 78: You. . . You okay there Turn-A? You know, if baldness is setting in, I’ve got a deal with Keeps. I could hook you up?
Turn-A: Oh, no I just wanted to try something new: decided to shave. What do you think?
SD 78: . . . Okay, so I know I gave you a lot of crap for your mustache, but you honestly should have kept it.
I love the MS mode of the zeta gundam, and i yes that transformation is a headache. So i fixed mine in MS mode, and fixed/glued all weak points that disabled the transformation.
I finally got this kit finished.... love it
Way back in 2001, I bought a Z Gundam HGUC Wave Shooter kit, which was pretty cool with its multi-colored molding and fairly simple transformation mechanism. I loved it until one day one of the leg struts snapped and I had to throw it away. Seriously considering buying this kit now to replace it.
Sounds like that wouldn't have been too hard to fix... Yet you threw it away? *Bruh*
you can fit a perfect grade gundam beam saber effect part in the hole of the hyper mega launcher.
The Amuro's White Unicorn recolor is the true MG Legend
I gotta be one of the few who prefers dry transfer decals. I can never get water slides to work; more like "water scrapes" or "water slip and gone forevers".
The dry transfers, I just use my thumbnail. I wish they still made them.
Never thought I would've seen this review happen.
Man I have had this kit since its release! Still in one piece and I have the whole "Gundam Team" all together 😎
The OG waverider mode still can't be beat
I still want a rg 2.0 line. Come on bandai you KNOW you can do better with the zeta.
When is that Barbatos lupus custom gonna seee the the light of day?
8:00 then comes ver. KA! HAHAHHA
18:31
So basically the Zeta Plus and all it’s variants
sadly I got a lot of folding on the new MG Zeta Ver Ka as well, the red and black had some unforgivable folding that actually stopped a couple of bits from being shiny all the way over the surface.
