Jtlyk, I am a musician and this band is my favorite band for so many reasons. But their music saved my life. Stopped me from giving up totally. Check out a song strength of the mind...one of so very many amazing songs
Should do "rose of sheryn(?)".
For context, the first guy to sing was the original singer who left not too long after they got started(Jessy) then the other singer(Howard) replaced him for years before Jessy came back and Howard went to do his own new band. And fans have been arguing for years about which was better.
So the song has both of them sharing the message "Let's unite. It's not about the one singing, but about the message in the lyrics".

I love that folks who never really listened to metal or rock actually realize they can enjoy it once they give it a chance. Plus her saying I can actually understand it makes me laugh, that's what I always tell ppl if you listen enough you understand.

I love how every time a black person reacts to this song their eyes get big when they see Howard. It's so awesome because you can see them instantly connect in a new way to the song. Metal =/= angry white people.

I do wish both Howard and Jessie were in the band permanently. Jessie being the og vocalist that left the band due to depression issues to which Howard stepped in as the vocalist for the the time he was gone.
Killswitch engage A tribute to the fallen. Usually an overlooked track but one of my favourites off their album Disarm the Descent (their first with Jesse back)
Every time I come back to it I'm blown away at how good Disarm the Descent really is.
@@MurphyReal 2022 and DTD still holds up. Jesse came back with a point to prove and he did it.

Little backstory, the first singer Jesse, was the original singer during the bands formation in 1999 and it's first few years but left due to personal reasons. The second singer Howard, took over and killed it til 2012 and left due to health reasons. Jesse took back over and has been the singer ever since. There's been a huge debate ever since who's been the better vocalist so I guess this was them proving that they're both awesome.

they dont have tow singers, howard (black dude) came back for a guest featuring, dude with the mohawk was their original singer, left because of family, depression and stuff, howard came in, left later as well because of the same reasons kinda and now it is back to jesse. Would recommend songs from both "eras" to compare the two singers. End of Heartache for Howard and Alive or just breathing for Jesse.

Hell in Me, In Due Time, My Curse, or Rose of Sharyn are all great KSE tracks with a mix of melodic and heavy parts.
End of Heartache and Daylight Dies as well - though I guess at this point I could just say that anything of theirs goes. I guess I'm not crazy about Incarnate?
Ive listened to this band forever- when Jesse was the singer first time, maybe 20 years. Ive seen them 15-20 times live. this video still gives me goosebumps and I love the reactions to Howard.

I prefer Howard Jones vocals probably due to the fact that i didnt stumble onto them until 2005. His voice echoes in my soul.

If she thinks Jesse can sing, watch End of Heartache. One of the best metal songs of all time. Period. It was literally voted 7th best metal song all time by Metal Magazine. Howard's cleans are untouchable.

I mean, if signal fire is the first song she heard of them, it only gets down hill from here. Don't get me wrong, killswitch has alot of good song, but this one is on another level! For me, the only one who comes close is rose of sharyn.

@@steveescalante haha no worries, buddy! The last kse album is absolutely fantastic, but i don't know if it's because both jesse and howard are there, but the song has something special about it. I'd really like it if they had both singers more often in the future.
You should probably research a band a little before you try them out.
