These Panasonic cameras are amazing value and can produce excellent results. Personally, I don't think the kit lens (particularly the 14-42mm F3.5-5.6) is well suited to use in a typical church building with subdued lighting. You probably will end up wanting a faster lens, and/or one with longer telephoto reach. It may be worth going for the body-only configuration and putting the extra $100 towards a lens you really need, and will likely end up buying in the long run. If you can get a kit that includes a lens you will really use in practice, _then_ the bundle savings are worth it, but you should be sure that is the case before pulling the trigger, IMO.
Hey Razzell, thanks for your comment bro. You are right the Kit lenses are most likely unusable. Unless the church is well lit but you still need to invest in faster lenses to get a portrait angle. I may end up using one lenses for our church. We are investing in a telephoto lens as well for the second angle . The 2 lenses from the kit will end up either on eBay or in storage. Unfortunately. I will be reviewing some of the lenses I have been experimenting with ...
@@LiveProductionTips I have been using my own personal G7 plus two PTZ cameras that are installed permanently in the sanctuary. I also have access to a GH4, and will probably start to use that soon. I've been tempted by the idea of a BMPCC4k or a GH5, but those are a little too expensive for me. I plan to stay within the micro four-thirds eco-system, at least for the another year or two.
Great. That’s awesome. Honestly for church video especially for live streaming you may not need a GH5. I have been using G7, G85, GX85 as well as GH5 and I can tell they are almost equal as far as church video is concerned. The GH5 will give more cinematic features that you may need as film maker but in church environment most churches may never use . It’s still a great camera though and I recommend it to any church that can afford it
@@LiveProductionTips watch our interview its on our page, I will not have the same set up for my next vid i want 2 of them recording simultaneously so i can multicam edit in Premier pro
we are shooting a pod cast we have a profx mixer 10v3 for audio and two g85s but instead of manually hitting record on both cameras, cant i connect them to a yololiv so i can have someone hit recored off the yolo screen and both cameras will start recording at the same time
I bought my G85 in 2019 for 600 I love my camera!
@@ThiagoVasBellizia yea it’s a great camera
