I teamed up with my brother Simone / sselvatico and compared 3 widely used small diaphragm condenser microphones. The results were somehow shocking to us!

The treble peak on the 184 can be harsh at times. I think I like the more natural beyer

I bought the BeyerDynamic... because the mid tones are stronger ; this explains the surprising result with cymbals. The Neumanns can wait for another day when I have more cash
