A list of mine from each game. DS1: either entering Anor Londo first time or Gough shooting Kalameet DS2: Majula Bloodborne: Gehrman’s fight or Ludwig’s fight DS3: Gael and everything leading up to the fight Sekiro: fighting and getting stronger against Genechiro each time Elden Ring: either Messmer’s fight or seeing Nokron for the first time (specifically where you can see Mohgwyn Palace in the distance)
The Sky in The Old Hunters DLC + Ludwig fight was amazing... goddamn he was a hard one, they even put Blood vials in his boss room. Seeing The Ringed City the first time + The Build up to Gael was second to none.
Absolutely agree but DeS is probably when we get to the dragon god, he's not hard but he's definitely a fun first time, and Elden ring might be the Radahn festival, or when you get to leyndell and see the golden capital everyone talks about is just a decaying husk, kinda like amor londo. But I do agree Nokron is really good and soifra river gives the vibes too since you can see it all just not as well
@@somepvpguy69 made me realize I forgot to put demons souls in my original comment lol. Favorite moment in that game is probably all of Boletarian Palace. That whole section has great exploration.
For me the absolute BEST moment was entering Lyndell, witnessing the glowing gold & white city with Grandisax laid upon it with a holy choir musing its praises
It's such a shame that the dlc doesn't have any legacy dungeons as complex as Leyndell and Stormveil. Shadow Keep is kinda dull on subsequent playthroughs. I wish it had more of the open areas in it.
For Elden Ring it should have been pretty much all the areas' introduction. Seeing Liurna of the Lakes after defeating Godfrey, horseriding your way into Caelid, seeing the dragon in Leindell, taken the elevator into Nokron, stepping into Shaman Village... There are so many awe inspiring moments like these.
The area reveals are next level. I sometimes imagine what someone playing for the first time would think when they walk around a corner and see the epic area reveal. Elphael, leyndell, Prison town section of volcano manor and cerulean coast are my favourites
@@davidborne_1.0Elden ring did it far better and far more frequently. Anor londo, majula, fishing hamlet, irythill and ringed city are like the only level introductions thatactually could be considered highlights.
@@iamMildlyUpsetWithMostOfYouTub yeah well they're all just introductions that you know of after first playthrough, after that it's nothing you haven't seen before. Besides they don't hit as hard because you haven't been through the mud up until that point like before Anor Londo and Irithyll. And lastly, many of those areas, especially Liurnia, Altus and Caelid are just a nice scenery of the entire area with different vegetation to a certain point and a new skybox, making it more disappointing when what they have to offer is just the same content and gameplay loop as Limgrave
While I love Majula, my most memorable moment in DSII was the moment I found King Vendrick. It was SHOCKING AMAZING! For Bloodborne, yes, watching the Amygdalas in Catedral Ward was so cool, but my most memorable moment in my first play was When I reached Gehrman end boss. Not the boss fight itself which is awesome, but the build up, you discovering the arena, watching the old man by the tree and the dialog., the music and the incredible fight. To this day the phrase "Tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt..." and watching the old man, rising up and drawing his totally badass weapon keeps sending the chills in my spinal cord. I was so amazed the first time I saw him that he killed me in like 3 seconds and I was happy about it. For Elden Ring it is the moment you see Limgrave for the first time. I think I'll never have such a jawdropping moment in a game as intense as that ever again. I stayed there besides Varré for minutes just rotating the camera without taking any step... then I saw the "dude on that horse" and learned in a bad way where was I getting into.
I feel like the highlight of Dark Souls 3 for me is Soul of Cinder's "plin plin plon". Having a rematch with Gwyn, and in his prime one last time felt amazing.
Yes, this is what i thought of too. There are many other things in the game calling back to DS1, and showing the cyclical nature of the linking of the fire. But the Soul of Cinder fight hits the hardest for me. Everything is doomed to repeat, untill the world burns to ash, and Gwyn's selfish desperation is the reason for it all.
Sekiro was my first FS game and the moment I fell in love with the series was when I defeated the corrupted monk and got to see the beautiful vista at the Fountainhead Palace along with the music. I had struggled so much to that point but when I reached that it all felt worth it, which motivated me to experience the rest of the series
In my first playthrough of Bloodborne, I reached 40 Insight Pre-Rom and randomly glanced at the Amygdala and my heart skipped a beat. Closest thing I’ve ever felt to fear playing a video game(something the Horror genre has failed at for me for decades).
if you ever want to experience fear, or at least be tense the entire time, I recommend Alien Isolation. assuming you haven't played it given you said the horror genre has failed at scaring you for decades. if that doesn't scare you, I honestly don't know what will.
Great video, as always! :) Here are my picks for three of the games: DS 1: Seeing Anor Londo for the first time/ Reaching Ash Lake DS 3: Reaching Irithyll Elden Ring: Defeating Mohg and entering the DLC, every single time!
It’s really hard to beat the Siofra River Well in ER. That feeling of going down the elevator the first time and realizing it was SO FAR DOWN and how beautiful it was down there was unmatched for me
DeS - Just playing the game for the first time. I bought it day-1 and I had no idea that it would change my life, like it did. DS1 - Ornstien & Smough boss fight. The epic music. Fighting TWO bosses. The arena...amazing! DS2 - The Looking Glass Knight boss fight. I love rain and his design is top-tier. BB - The PERFECT final boss, and the greatest song of the series. DS3 - Slave Knight Gael boss fight. The PERFECT conclusion to the trilogy ER - First arriving at Liurnia of the Lakes and seeing Raya Lucaria Acadamy sitting amongs the beutiful misty lake
Ey, I don't actually read the comments all that much (My mental health would be in the drain), but this one popped up on my timeline, so I wanted to say thanks so much!
@ of course! you deserve to hear it :) you’re def a go to for me when it comes to sitting down after a long day, eating dinner and watching whatever you have uploaded!
Bloodborne- The 2nd phase cutscene during the fight with Ludwig. Just the way he goes from a mindless beast to a badass sword master half way through blows my mind every time. Elden Ring- The Radahn Festival. It is set up as such a spectacle. Like how there are NPC's you can meet before doing it and then meet them again at the staging area. Then the announcement of it is so hype. You are even introduced to Radahn through a flashback cutscene. Not to mention saving the Warrior Jar Alexander is how you even find out about it if you don't see it online first. Those are the only two games I've played all the way through. So that's all I got.
@@RadahnCrossSlashCounter When you spell it correctly spellcheck doesn't recognize it as a real word. So I thought I was spelling it right the first time.
Haven't watched the video yet but: ds1- any of the three early shortcuts (undead burg ladder kick, parish elevator, lower burg sewer door) getting back to firelink after blightown anor londo reveal plin plin plon credits rolling to nameless song ds3- vordt's boss music in phase 2 starting irithyll reveal the screaming corpse jumpscare in Irithyll dungeon 'when ashes are two' Gael's cutscene Bloodborne- the amygdala on the wall alfred's speech in Cainhurst Ludwig's cutscene opening the clockface to the fishing hamlet 'tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt' Elden Ring- the 'bathed in rays of gold' trio of Godrick's death line, the reveal of Leyndell and the Shaman village Siofra elevator the Radahn festival Morgott's cutscene burning the Erdtree Enia's 'do what you believe is right dialouge' Radagon's theme kicking in the Elden lord ending I didn't want to include any boss fights, but their cutscenes and their music works as individual moments
Demon Souls: Dragon God punching you in the fucking face! DS1: Arriving in Anal Rhodeo DS2: Old Lady Cutscene Bloodborne: Seeing the Celestial beings for the first time DS3: PLIN PLIN PLON Sekiro: Retrieving the Mortal Blade Elden Ring: Seeing the underground section
I watch a lot of youtube videos a year, A LOT And i was surprised and happy to know that at my RUclips Year recap, you were my most viewed channel of the year! Thanks for keep on making videos and being unique as you arePLEASE MAKE MORE RANDOMIZER GAMEPLAYS ❤😂
I’ll never forget playing Elden ring for the first time. It’s a memory I’ll never ever forget and it’s now my favourite game ever and I’m obsessed with the lore
I definitely agree with the Bloodborne pick. In fact, one of my slight dissapointments with the insight system is that there aren't more reveals like the Amygdalas. Like, imagine if there was something you could only see with insight level 80 or 100. Something that doesn't get revealed by the blood moon. Something so hidden that you'd have to go far out of your way to have it revealed.
When i first stumbled into Ludwig and then Lady Maria, I was left in awe. Both are within my greatest boss fights ever. The DLC is pretty much my driving force to replay Bloodborne (again, and then again).
But you should know as well as I, fellow hunter.... A corpse… should be left well alone. Oh, I know very well. How the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now. Liberate you from your wild curiosity...
Ds1 - anor londo reveal Ds2 - Meeting Aldia the 1st time Ds3 - Drop to Midir Arena BB - Hunter’s Workshop on fire Sekiro - killing the snake ER - Burning the tree.
Man, honestly at this point I’m impressed at the concepts you keep coming up with, haha If you don’t mind my asking: roughly how long does it take you to put one of these weekly videos together, and how far in advance do you have them finished? I’m trying to improve my workflow, because at present I feel like I’m always up against the clock in terms of getting my weekly Wednesday night episodes done, and I’d like to get to the point of having a couple weeks’ worth of content as a buffer. Oh, and of course, great video, as always!
For me my favourite moment of Ds2 is after fighting the throne keeper and watcher, When Nashandra enters the arena through the fog gate and it made me realise, That we are the final boss and nashandra is entering the gate to challenge us and not the other way around
@ One of my favourite places to visit. Cobbled streets, great fish & chips, beautiful beach, arcades were great when I was a kid. Must’ve been a fun place to live
Personally, I gotta say 1. DS1- Ash Lake. 2. DS2- Majula Entrance 3. DS3- Abyss Watcher revival. While the fire sword guy is done way too much in DS3, the Abyss Watchers is the first time it happens, and it feels so damn cool. 4. Bloodborne- Getting Snatched and landing up in Hypogeon Gaol. 5. Sekiro- Entering Fountainhead Palace. 6. Elden Ring- here I will give 2 moments. I. Entering the Underground. The reveal of Siofra River by the well is such a mood. II. the prime consort into cutscene. Generally bosses are more hyped up in Elden Ring, all bosses feel very powerful (ignore Godrick). Radahn being most powerful says a lot. Then u fight Malenia and are left thinking this woman wad almost killed by Radahn, damn. Then we see him do the same animation as the Elden Ring Trailer, pulling his swords out of the ground, making a dust shockwave. As for hubs I like how unique DS1 Firelink, Majula and Roundtable Hold are. DS1 firelink is a home. Its a place where u feel safe. Majula is like a small town. The last safe haven. Its where all end up. Roundtable Hold takes u on the opposite direction. Intially its full, slowly and steadily they start leaving. Then by the end, Roundtable Hold is deserted. It reaally sells the point the the path to lodship is a lonely one.
Elden Ring for me was I believe right before entering the capital where you see the Erdtree, but now since you're closer to it, you get a better idea of how GIGANTIC it really is!! Every moment I got closer to it was breathtaking! It really made me feel the scale of the challenges ahead of me.
I had to abandon a 35 hour playthrough of Dark Souls III as I just wasn't doing it right and couldn't beat either Dancer or Aldrich, so started again. The moment I was able to beat one and then the other will forever be my finest Soulsborne moment, even over Midir or Gael. There's no adrenaline rush quite like finally beating the boss that has been tormenting you.
In Elden ring, meeting Rykard…. And he does that short speech in the voice that sounds like an old school Ultimate Warrior promo. I laughed my ass off. Loved it.
DS1 will always be completing Sen's fortress, the cut scene beginning and being carried over the cliff from the desolate land below to the sun hitting you over Anor Londo! The church sound affects adding to the grandeur is Chef's Kiss
In Elden Ring, one of the best moments for me was going down to the underground world. You hop on that elevator thinking "it's just another dungeon", and you find a WHOLE world below the surface. Amazing. For some reason, I never felt anything special about Majula. Maybe I would say entering the fire DLC. I remember watching the Brume Tower, the vast landscape and the big chain to get to it, and I remember thinking: "Wow... that's impressive".
DS3 for me was hearing gwyns music during the final SoC fight. The game was packed with DS1 nostalgia and capping it off with that moment was legendary
Here's my list since it seems fun: Demon's Souls - The Penetrator fight Dark Souls 1 - Visiting Ash Lake for the first time Dark Souls 2 - Entering Majula or seeing King Vendrick Bloodborne - Fighting Ludwig and Lady Maria for the first time Dark Souls 3 - Fighting Gael for the first time Sekiro - Reaching fountainhead palace and defeating sword saint isshin for the first time Elden Ring - Too many moments come to mind but to list a few there's discovering siofra river with the elevator, the first time entering liurnia, leyndell, celid, farum azula, nokron, shadow keep, and the cerulean coast, the first time fighting/beating radahn, messmer, malenia, maliketh, midra, and bayle. Discovering shaman village, deeproot depths (specifically godwyn's head), and the moonlight altar. And lastly, finishing ranni's questline
Good call on Leyndell - absolutely my favorite part of ER as well. But what about the Subterranean Shunning Grounds with their crazy looping catacombs, and the whole descent down to the Three Fingers? All that’s part of Leyndell, too! Absolutely astonishing.
Might be a bit of an odd one, but for me in DSIII, it's giving the Dark Soul to the Painter. You've traveled with Gael through hell and he drove himself to hollowing just for the chance to get her that soul. You're fulfilling his final wish, and giving humanity a new chance at peace in a world away from the gods.
Good list and well written, but I do think I have you beat on my selections this week: DeS - Falling through the Nexus is jawdropping the first time when you're not expecting it DS1 - The conclusion of Siegmeyer's questline at Ash Lake DS2 - Falling into the Old Chaos BB - Queen Yharnam and the blood red moon after Rom DS3 - The Abyss Watcher fighting for both sides Sekiro - The revisit to Hirata Estate where everything has subtly changed ER - This is the most egregious for me. You bang on about how its the first time visiting that blew you away, but you didn't pick the elevator ride to Siofra??? Well, i'll gladly take that one then.
There's a location in every game where once you get there, your jaw drops: Dark Souls 1 - Anor Londo Dark Souls 2 - Brume Tower Dark Souls 3 - Ringed City Bloodborne - Hunter's Nightmare Sekiro - Fountainhead Palace Elden Ring - Leyndell
having only played Dark Souls 2, an error I intend to eventually correct, I will say I have 2 moments that are easily tied. the first one is of course stepping into Majula, knowing that I'm going on a long journey that I intend to finish fully, and get excited to see the characters I've come to care for. the second and my slightly more personal favorite as he's tied as my favorite boss, is the build up and fight of the Burnt Ivory King. Alsanna requests your help, you reexplore the grand city of Eleum Loyce, essentially my first Anor Londo, and recruit these knights who have waited far too long to finally avenge and put their king to rest. then seeing them all waiting for you, drawing their weapons and basically agreeing to dive into literal Hell with you, is just epic. I love the fight start to end and I love it even more as you're fulfilling a Dark Queen's wish, yet the wish is pure in nature and in intent. a part of me wishes there was a covenant for Alsanna, perhaps called the Watches of Chaos or something that allowed you to just dive into there to fight a random battle alongside some more Eleum Loyce knights for fun, and to feel almost an opposite to Raime. Raime joined a dark queen and served her, we effectively do the same, but for a good reason unlike Raime. its a set of actions that truly have an incredible finish and I always try my hardest to have the last knight live so I don't feel bad for leaving Alsanna completely alone in her both sadness and peace.
I've only played the first two Dark Souls games. Greatest moment in the first game could well be defeating Smough and Ornstein. Though it's also hard to beat the sheer sense of relief I felt escaping Blighttown. Having shrugged off the many attempts at descent, getting turned around in the swamp, losing to Queelag a couple times. Then finding the water wheel. Carefully riding it up. Being terrified in the Valley of the Drakes that I'd go up against a dragon that would slay me and take me all the way back to Blighttown swamp. Then getting to New Londo, riding the elvator up, and delaying the sigh of relief until I finally rested at the bonfire in Firelink Shrine. Honorable mention to the first time I beat a Black Knight in a fair fight as well. Dark Souls 2. Can the entire Lost Bastille segment count as a best 'moment'? I just think that whole thing is amazing. The starkness of Heide's Tower of Flame. The unique, and enjoyable, No Man's Wharf. The Bastille itself, my favorite area of the game . And then, fighting the Lost Sinner in an incredibly cinematic approach. My only regret was that she was a mandatory boss. I wish I could've said to her "Why are you fighting? I have no quarrel with you. You're obviously suffering. I don't know what your crime is, but it's long forgotten. Let me break your shackles, I am not your enemy!" I'm quite enjoying going through the backlog of your lists!
For Bloodborne, Yahar'Gul came to mind before anything else. I just love how you've been to the Hypogean Gaol, but this time it's all different and this is about where the game starts to really veer into the eldritch themes it's so well known for. All the Amygdalas loitering on the buildings and how the area again feels different depending on your insight level. The skirmish with the 3 hunters in the cathedral is also great fun, as is luring the bone clump enemies into those bonfire things and making them burn themselves. The scenery and architecture in that part all looks so foreboding and ominous and intimidating as well. For DS3 that's tough. personally either the nameless king fight, or Yhorm's fight (i just love how BEEEG he is haha) Elden Ring? I think probably gaining entry into Lleyendel or the Haligtree. Or Faram Azula.. there's just so many cool visual spectacles in that game haha. DS1 haven't finished yet DS2 haven't played it yet Sekiro haven't played it yet Demon's Souls haven't played it yet.
I always appreciate seeing original Demon Soul’s footage in your videos, most people just use footage from the remake (for understandable reasons), but I still prefer the original (jank and all). 100% agree regarding your DS2 pick, Majula is my favorite hub in any of their games, love the soundtrack.
Hard agree on DS3. The bosses and skill level showmanship are perfect. The Dancer being so difficult and then a breeze is joy. The Twin Princes solo is the funnest hard fight in the series. Pontiff is absolutely terrifying. The Soul of Cinder being a dance is respect to Bloodbournes perfect finale.
My favorite part of ds2 is Aldia personally. He is the best written character I've seen in the dark souls franchise and I'll never forget his quotes. When you complete everything in the game and finally meet him as a boss... I dunno it hits different man
Fun fact about isshin and lightning. He cannot us the lightning of Tomoe by the lore. Meaning that the man literally predicts where it will strike, leaps in the air, and catches it to hit you with it.
Here's mine: DS1: Gough shooting Kalameet DS2: Completing the DLC's then getting Vendricks full dialogue Bloodborne: Ludwig's phase 2 transition and fight DS3: Completing Lapp's quest and hearing Patches speech, or giving the Painter the Blood of the Dark Soul in Ariandel Elden Ring: Entering Altus for the first time, and seeing Leyndell for the first time.
DS1: riding the elevator back to firelink, being pulled into the painting. DS2: PvP on bridge or no hitting sir Allonne/seppuku DS3: Gael or Nameless King Bloodborne: lady maria clocktower Demon Souls: Penetrator Intro Lies of P: first time I played Feel on the record player Sekiro: when i finally beat genichiro and understood parrying Elden Ring: Ranni's Quest
For me: Demons souls: exploring 1-1 for the first time (it was my first souls game and can never rlly be replaced) Dark souls: finding artorias and then realizing that he whoops you being weakened Ds2: fighting burnt ivory king Bloodborne: gherman standing up or finally meeting Ludwig after hearing abt him for the whole game Ds3: the second phase transition of soul of cinder or the entirety of the ringed city Sekiro: ishin coming out of genichiro Elden ring: opening the door to limgrave for the first time, or battling bayle, Mesmer, or even radahn
Hey can I request a video? I was playing DS2 earlier today, the fire DLC, and I just realized how difficult going from 1 bonfire to another was, so can you do a video on hardest areas between bonfires, or hardest bonfire to bonfire runs? Thanks!
Demon's Souls - Maiden Astraea Dark Souls - Entering the Kiln of the First Flame Dark Souls 2 - Gathering the Loyce Knights + Burnt Ivory King boss Bloodborne - The Accursed becomes the Holy Blade Dark Souls 3 - Soul of Cinder + The End of Fire ending (best ending in the series) Sekiro - Second Hirata Estate (Owl (Father) included) Elden Ring - The Radahn Festivaaaal!
Here's my list Demon's Souls: Old hero is actually my favorite. Along with Storm King being right after him, these two bosses back to back are definitely the highlight in this game for me. DS1: I just love O&S. I know a lot of people say they're overrated, or at least that they have to stop getting so many number 1 awards. Well, I don't really agree with that. They're still my favorite for sure, same with their music, aesthetics, dynamic... yeah, it's so good DS2: Dark Souls 2 for me isn't Majula, I thought this reveal was great... but there is a better one. Vendrick. A lot of my playthrough for DS2, I already knew about most of the bosses and areas, EXCEPT for Vendrick. When I got to his cave, I was fucking terrified, which doesn't happen a lot in this game! I love this moment, it encapsulates everything good about Ds2, mainly lore and atmosphere (BTW I liked DS2 more than 1... idk why) Bloodborne: I think just playing the dlc. The Old Hunters might actually be perfect in almost every regard, all for 26$, to the point where I started to calculate how many Old Hunters dlcs I need instead of actual money. This dlc is a masterclass, and every second you spend playing it is amazing (I'm also a complete sucker for the Hypogean Gaol moment, the menacing choir starting as you wake up is INCREDIBLE) DS3: FIGHTING PONTIFF SULYVAHN. FUCK GAEL Sekiro: ... Haven't played yet, might update it when I do... cause I sure as shit will! Elden Ring: Jesus lord this one's hard, cause my first playthrough felt like every moment was the best (seriously, the way I was playing this game was NOT healthy), but honestly, I think it's getting to a new area. Every one of them has a super cinematic reveal, and I know some other comments talked about this, but I just have to agree on that. Whether it's Farum Azula, Limgrave, Liurnia, Leyndell, Elphael, Caelid, Altus, Siofra, Mountaintops, Nokstella and especially the way Deeproot connects to the Three Fingers... ALL of them make my balls shiver (in a good way) (what?)
I can only really speak about my experience with Elden Ring, as I've not played through DS3's DLCs and speaking about it would feel pointless, my favorite and most anticipated part of every Elden Ring playthrough is the climb up to the top of Enir-Ilim. The beast warriors, tower priests and grave birds feel like a genuine organized force to fight through, the climactic battle between Leda and her allies and I, Ansbach and Thiollier, and the bombastic cherry on top of the cake that is Shadow of the Erdtree, Promised Consort Radahn. After the patch that slowed down his cross slash, I think it might be my second or third favorite boss fight in the game, accompanied by Malenia and Midra. The realization that I went from cheesing PCR with the Bloodfiend's Arm to just recently beating him with a regular Broadsword and Iron Roundshield is probably the greatest feeling I've felt playing any game.
for demon souls, clearly the ending zone ,the atmosphere around the old one is jjust surreal. dark souls ash lake/ gwyn / anor londo dar souls 2 the quit game button dark souls 3 ringed city vista bb the fishing hamlet reveal sekiro fountainhead elden ring seeing leyndell for the first time
For DS 1 for it me it might be slightly after your pick: Killing the illusion and seeing Anor Londo's true form. For DS 2 I'm not sure. Maybe Majula. Maybe the first time Aldia pops up. For DS 3 it may be the 'dark' version of firelink shrine. For BB, maybe the fishing hamlet. Or finding the 'real' hunters workship. For ER, either Stormveil Castle or the Capital.
Dark Souls 1 got me with the dlc, I had to do all of it alone, no one was available to help, so I gritted it out and cemented the legend all alone. DS2 is special to me despite its flaws, and fragging it out with the Burnt Ivory King and his chaos knights with my own posse stands out as one dang fun time! DS3, the easy choice is Soul of Cinder, Anor Londo, Friede, Gael or Midir, but I think going through Archdragon Peak is one of my best moments. Sekiro is Sword Saint, but Divine Dragon is a close second Bloodborne is just getting lost in the Moon Presence music. I love the Gothic, harrowing tunes in this game brought low by the grand, terrible power that comes. Elden Ring isnt finished yet for me, i just started the DLC. Im coming for you Radahn! Special mention to Armored Core 6, I beat Balteus first try. I still feel like a King remembering it! Great vid!
You say that the only way to take down the Storm king was with the Storm Ruler, but I didn't realize that sword was there my first playthrough until the fight was over. I beat it by slowly pelting it with arrows. Bad time, would not recommend.
I really did love Shadow of the Erd Tree, I want to preface this comment with that. It's a phenomenal expansion and better than many full games. But I think the reason I felt *underwhelmed* in some ways is because nothing in the DLC came close to topping Leyndell.
while most soulsbourne fan hate DS2, I really like it. The area had more variety and kinda entertaining. the only problem was the boss not that challenging aside from crazy runback, and the mechanic of the game a bit let down. the rest I really enjoy it.
For me it's irithyll and anor londo as a whole in ds3 the most beautiful scenery in the franchise every weapon or armor you pick up has some sort of call back to ds1, anri's quest, Yorshka, Sullivan bossfight, the fight club, Gwendoline, it's perfection just wish the aldrich fight was better
A list of mine from each game.
DS1: either entering Anor Londo first time or Gough shooting Kalameet
DS2: Majula
Bloodborne: Gehrman’s fight or Ludwig’s fight
DS3: Gael and everything leading up to the fight
Sekiro: fighting and getting stronger against Genechiro each time
Elden Ring: either Messmer’s fight or seeing Nokron for the first time (specifically where you can see Mohgwyn Palace in the distance)

What about Igon?
Nah the best moment of DS2 is definitely Vendrick's reveal. Basically the entire game is building towards that story moment

There are so many awe inspiring moments like these.

@@davidborne_1.0 the buildup to leyndell eclipses that of anor londo and irythill.
Every replay I do of Dark Souls 3 is just an excuse to fight Champ Gundyr and go to the old shrine
Couldn't agree more. When in the second phase that OST starts playing, it's a priceless feeling.
Not a really fun moment but a surprising one in a good way is Owl mikiri countering us if we try a thrust attack
:) Here are my picks for three of the games:
DS 1: Seeing Anor Londo for the first time/ Reaching Ash Lake
DS 3: Reaching Irithyll
Elden Ring: Defeating Mohg and entering the DLC, every single time!
It’s really hard to beat the Siofra River Well in ER. That feeling of going down the elevator the first time and realizing it was SO FAR DOWN and how beautiful it was down there was unmatched for me
Oh truuuue I completely forgot about Siofra, damn
Bro u randomly popped in my feed but ur content is so fire i thought you had like a million subs or something…. Keep up the amazing work!
The PERFECT conclusion to the trilogy
ER - First arriving at Liurnia of the Lakes and seeing Raya Lucaria Acadamy sitting amongs the beutiful misty lake
I think the best part of Bloodborne is the entire game
The fact you didn't make a dumb and tired chest joke like every other souls creator when talking about Gwynevere earned you a sub from me
been subscribed to you for a bit, wanted to give you your flowers before you eventually blow up! i absolutely love the content, keep it up!!!
Honestly, my favorite part of DS2 is when I walk up to the Xbox and turn it off
That part could be 10x better if you had purchased a Playstation instead.
@ ok buddy
DS2 is like my crazy ex I can't get away from
Boooooo
Lol 🤣
Radon.
Radon
@@RadahnCrossSlashCounter So I just realized that I was actually spelling it wrong the whole time and edited my comment.
@@rebal180 Radon?
@@RadahnCrossSlashCounter When you spell it correctly spellcheck doesn't recognize it as a real word. So I thought I was spelling it right the first time.
hey billy
why are you always use footage from the OG Demon Souls and not the remake?
Probably because of console exclusivity, it's easier to emulate the original game than to buy a whole console for a remake
Haven't watched the video yet but:
ds1- any of the three early shortcuts (undead burg ladder kick, parish elevator, lower burg sewer door)
getting back to firelink after blightown
anor londo reveal
plin plin plon
credits rolling to nameless song
ds3- vordt's boss music in phase 2 starting
irithyll reveal
the screaming corpse jumpscare in Irithyll dungeon
'when ashes are two'
Gael's cutscene
Bloodborne- the amygdala on the wall
alfred's speech in Cainhurst
Ludwig's cutscene
opening the clockface to the fishing hamlet
'tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt'
Elden Ring- the 'bathed in rays of gold' trio of Godrick's death line, the reveal of Leyndell and the Shaman village
Siofra elevator
the Radahn festival
Morgott's cutscene
burning the Erdtree
Enia's 'do what you believe is right dialouge'
Radagon's theme kicking in
the Elden lord ending
I didn't want to include any boss fights, but their cutscenes and their music works as individual moments
my favourite moment in bloodborne was arriving at upper cathedral ward for the first time, that climate is insane
Your uploads always make my day ^^
Demon Souls: Dragon God punching you in the fucking face!
DS1: Arriving in Anal Rhodeo
DS2: Old Lady Cutscene
Bloodborne: Seeing the Celestial beings for the first time
DS3: PLIN PLIN PLON
Sekiro: Retrieving the Mortal Blade
Elden Ring: Seeing the underground section
Sekiros gotta be first time in fountain head
So far my favorite thing about Dark Souls 1 is just exploring, grinding to level up, finding new things and just enjoying the game.
I watch a lot of youtube videos a year, A LOT
And i was surprised and happy to know that at my RUclips Year recap, you were my most viewed channel of the year! Thanks for keep on making videos and being unique as you arePLEASE MAKE MORE RANDOMIZER GAMEPLAYS ❤😂
My favorite part of DS2 was when I saw the credits roll and knew it was finally over and I never had to go through that hell again.
I’ll never forget playing Elden ring for the first time. It’s a memory I’ll never ever forget and it’s now my favourite game ever and I’m obsessed with the lore
Sea creatures flying through the air is my favourite trope. I also loved seeing the Storm King
Best moment of sekiro is when I finally understood the rhythmic nature of the combat system
I gotta say Sir Alonne's boss arena and fight are absolutely incredible. Such a high point coupled with such a low point in the runback.
The 100 insight reveal - turns out the doll was Gehrman in a dress and wig this whole time.
For dark souls it’s the moment the imps take you up and you see Anor Londo for the first time. The music and visual always gets me.
My favorite part of elden ring is the cutscene where Marika falls off the rune arc and her hair turns red and Radagon stands up. It's so metal
From is pretty focused on boss fights so having them be the best moments is ideal
15:20 - wait... WHAT? They're the same guy? I just thought Margit was Morgott's little brother or son. How do you know they're the same guy?
Ds1 - anor londo reveal
Ds2 - Meeting Aldia the 1st time
Ds3 - Drop to Midir Arena
BB - Hunter’s Workshop on fire
Sekiro - killing the snake
ER - Burning the tree.
top 5 spots to get an over the pants handy
Man, honestly at this point I’m impressed at the concepts you keep coming up with, haha
If you don’t mind my asking: roughly how long does it take you to put one of these weekly videos together, and how far in advance do you have them finished? I’m trying to improve my workflow, because at present I feel like I’m always up against the clock in terms of getting my weekly Wednesday night episodes done, and I’d like to get to the point of having a couple weeks’ worth of content as a buffer.
Oh, and of course, great video, as always!
For me my favourite moment of Ds2 is after fighting the throne keeper and watcher, When Nashandra enters the arena through the fog gate and it made me realise, That we are the final boss and nashandra is entering the gate to challenge us and not the other way around
I knew there was a reason I liked you Billy, you’re from Cornwall! Whereabouts? I’m not far in Plymouth. Keep up the great content
Lived just 20 minutes down the coast in Looe ^^
@ One of my favourite places to visit. Cobbled streets, great fish & chips, beautiful beach, arcades were great when I was a kid. Must’ve been a fun place to live
My favorite moment of ds3 definitely has to be Seigward's speech to Yhorm at the end of his questline.
I find it highly funny that for most, the peak of DS2 is in the first 10 minutes then it's all downhill lol
Personally, I gotta say
1. DS1- Ash Lake.
2. DS2- Majula Entrance
Majula is brilliant but my favorite has to be Ivory King's entrance, and the fall to his arena. I've been "wow'd" before but WOW!
Seeing the second stage of guardian ape for the first time is unforgettable
Here's my list since it seems fun:
Demon's Souls - The Penetrator fight
Dark Souls 1 - Visiting Ash Lake for the first time
Dark Souls 2 - Entering Majula or seeing King Vendrick
Bloodborne - Fighting Ludwig and Lady Maria for the first time
Dark Souls 3 - Fighting Gael for the first time
Sekiro - Reaching fountainhead palace and defeating sword saint isshin for the first time
Elden Ring - Too many moments come to mind but to list a few there's discovering siofra river with the elevator, the first time entering liurnia, leyndell, celid, farum azula, nokron, shadow keep, and the cerulean coast, the first time fighting/beating radahn, messmer, malenia, maliketh, midra, and bayle. Discovering shaman village, deeproot depths (specifically godwyn's head), and the moonlight altar. And lastly, finishing ranni's questline
golden sun mentioned great vid
Good call on Leyndell - absolutely my favorite part of ER as well. But what about the Subterranean Shunning Grounds with their crazy looping catacombs, and the whole descent down to the Three Fingers? All that’s part of Leyndell, too! Absolutely astonishing.
best parts in Elden Ring is either entering Stormveil for the first time or burning the Erdtree and entering the crumbling city.
Good list and well written, but I do think I have you beat on my selections this week:
DeS - Falling through the Nexus is jawdropping the first time when you're not expecting it
DS1 - The conclusion of Siegmeyer's questline at Ash Lake
DS2 - Falling into the Old Chaos
BB - Queen Yharnam and the blood red moon after Rom
DS3 - The Abyss Watcher fighting for both sides
Sekiro - The revisit to Hirata Estate where everything has subtly changed
ER - This is the most egregious for me. You bang on about how its the first time visiting that blew you away, but you didn't pick the elevator ride to Siofra??? Well, i'll gladly take that one then.
There's a location in every game where once you get there, your jaw drops:
Dark Souls 1 - Anor Londo
Dark Souls 2 - Brume Tower
Dark Souls 3 - Ringed City
Bloodborne - Hunter's Nightmare
Sekiro - Fountainhead Palace
Elden Ring - Leyndell
For BB my favourite moment has to be hypgaen gaol + the first visit to Ya'harghul
eyy me too - Yahar'Gul gang lets gooo
For me the absolute best is the entrance to Irythill
having only played Dark Souls 2, an error I intend to eventually correct, I will say I have 2 moments that are easily tied. the first one is of course stepping into Majula, knowing that I'm going on a long journey that I intend to finish fully, and get excited to see the characters I've come to care for. the second and my slightly more personal favorite as he's tied as my favorite boss, is the build up and fight of the Burnt Ivory King.
Let me break your shackles, I am not your enemy!"
I'm quite enjoying going through the backlog of your lists!
I love how despite DS2 being the most disliked title in the trilogy everyone agrees that Majula just rocks.
The best moment in Sekiro for me is the first genichiro fight where the combat first truly clicked with me 👌
For Bloodborne, Yahar'Gul came to mind before anything else.
For DS3 that's tough. personally either the nameless king fight, or Yhorm's fight (i just love how BEEEG he is haha)
Elden Ring? I think probably gaining entry into Lleyendel or the Haligtree. Or Faram Azula.. there's just so many cool visual spectacles in that game haha.
DS1 haven't finished yet
DS2 haven't played it yet
Sekiro haven't played it yet
Demon's Souls haven't played it yet.
My friend rage quit bloodborne because of the amygdala in cathedral ward, he thought it was a glitch
Here's mine:
DS1: Gough shooting Kalameet
DS2: Completing the DLC's then getting Vendricks full dialogue
Bloodborne: Ludwig's phase 2 transition and fight
DS3: Completing Lapp's quest and hearing Patches speech, or giving the Painter the Blood of the Dark Soul in Ariandel
Elden Ring: Entering Altus for the first time, and seeing Leyndell for the first time.
The favorite moment in Elden ring for me was the map that kept getting bigger and bigger
DS1: riding the elevator back to firelink, being pulled into the painting.
DS2: PvP on bridge or no hitting sir Allonne/seppuku
DS3: Gael or Nameless King
Bloodborne: lady maria clocktower
Demon Souls: Penetrator Intro
Lies of P: first time I played Feel on the record player
Sekiro: when i finally beat genichiro and understood parrying
Elden Ring: Ranni's Quest
Yhorm. Old friend.
For me:
Demons souls: exploring 1-1 for the first time (it was my first souls game and can never rlly be replaced)
Dark souls: finding artorias and then realizing that he whoops you being weakened
Ds2: fighting burnt ivory king
Bloodborne: gherman standing up or finally meeting Ludwig after hearing abt him for the whole game
Ds3: the second phase transition of soul of cinder or the entirety of the ringed city
Sekiro: ishin coming out of genichiro
Elden ring: opening the door to limgrave for the first time, or battling bayle, Mesmer, or even radahn
Hey can I request a video? I was playing DS2 earlier today, the fire DLC, and I just realized how difficult going from 1 bonfire to another was, so can you do a video on hardest areas between bonfires, or hardest bonfire to bonfire runs? Thanks!
Leyndell isn't just my favorite level in spulsborne, its my favorite level in all gaming. Black Keep is probably 2nd place, what a dungeon.
Demon's Souls - Maiden Astraea
Dark Souls - Entering the Kiln of the First Flame
Dark Souls 2 - Gathering the Loyce Knights + Burnt Ivory King boss
Bloodborne - The Accursed becomes the Holy Blade
Dark Souls 3 - Soul of Cinder + The End of Fire ending (best ending in the series)
Sekiro - Second Hirata Estate (Owl (Father) included)
Elden Ring - The Radahn Festivaaaal!
Here's my list
Demon's Souls: Old hero is actually my favorite. Along with Storm King being right after him, these two bosses back to back are definitely the highlight in this game for me.
DS1: I just love O&S. I know a lot of people say they're overrated, or at least that they have to stop getting so many number 1 awards. Well, I don't really agree with that. They're still my favorite for sure, same with their music, aesthetics, dynamic... yeah, it's so good
DS2: Dark Souls 2 for me isn't Majula, I thought this reveal was great... but there is a better one. Vendrick. A lot of my playthrough for DS2, I already knew about most of the bosses and areas, EXCEPT for Vendrick. When I got to his cave, I was fucking terrified, which doesn't happen a lot in this game! I love this moment, it encapsulates everything good about Ds2, mainly lore and atmosphere (BTW I liked DS2 more than 1... idk why)
Bloodborne: I think just playing the dlc. The Old Hunters might actually be perfect in almost every regard, all for 26$, to the point where I started to calculate how many Old Hunters dlcs I need instead of actual money. This dlc is a masterclass, and every second you spend playing it is amazing (I'm also a complete sucker for the Hypogean Gaol moment, the menacing choir starting as you wake up is INCREDIBLE)
DS3: FIGHTING PONTIFF SULYVAHN. FUCK GAEL
Sekiro: ...
Majula, typical fishing village in Cornwall, hard to unknow that now.
Baaaaayle the dread. You shall haunt me No LONGER!
Best moment of elden ring for me is seeing siofra river the first time
for demon souls, clearly the ending zone ,the atmosphere around the old one is jjust surreal.
dark souls ash lake/ gwyn / anor londo
dar souls 2 the quit game button
dark souls 3 ringed city vista
bb the fishing hamlet reveal
sekiro fountainhead
elden ring seeing leyndell for the first time
For sekiro im always excited to reach genichiro and when you beat him is where it really click
Sekiro is Sword Saint, but Divine Dragon is a close second
Bloodborne is just getting lost in the Moon Presence music.
Honestly, my favorite part of ER is when I walk up to the Xbox and turn it off
Love the video but for dark souls 3 why not include darkeater midir with the other bosses?
Not choosing the Dragon lightning fight, or plunge attack on the serpent is truely a waste
9:00 What’s the matter, *can’t see what’s right in front of your own eyes?* :)
Bloodborne : Brain of Mensis
Best part of ds2 has to be getting to that dragon arena lowk
