Back in these days early in the pandemic you could always tell who had the macbook because when they'd open their mic you'd hear the fan absolutely screaming.
We just gonna ignore the MacBook 2015 dying halfway through the audio test? 😂 Lol, I'm glad you didn't cut that part out. But in all honesty the performance on Intel Macbook Airs was just abysmal. You had 5th gen i3's outperforming it. The inclusion of an i7 was even more Ludacris... It was like chaining a V8 engine to your child's tricycle. I would recommend the MacBook Pro 2020 i7 if a person MUST use Intel, (keep in mind the M1 outperforms the MacBook Pro 2020 i9 Model!)[except for gaming and windows through bootcamp]
I am looking for a 2020 MB or M series and what is making me cautious with used is the battery cycles and NVME read/write usage. Unless I can get both in low numbers I would probably get from Costco or Apple as new to save the headaches.
Im about to retire my 19 Air to my wife and get an M2 Mini. I hate that I'll lose bootcamp but I want to get into heavier photo editing and maybe some middle ground videos too. Plus it'll fit a little better on my desk.
on backmarket a 2020 i5 model with 16gb ram and a 512gb ssd is only going for $500 good condition but the m1 is going for $800 with the same specs, however the m1 is so much better than the i5 though. what should i get? btw this would be for college
M1 is futureproofed with insane battery life and more future support. It’s better to splurge now than have to upgrade in 2 years. If $800 is too much you can always drop to 128 or 256
To answer your question, no, the 2020 MacBook Air (Intel) is not worth buying in 2024. While the 2020 model is much better than the 2019 model, it still is vastly underpowered and struggles with thermal management compared to the M1 MacBook Air. The M1 MacBook Air has much better performance, battery life, better ram management, and has more features such as Apple Intelligence in macOS Sequoia.
Hey man, i got a 2$ iphone 5 on ios 7.0.x today (it got the square shutdown slider) and it has a passcode. Is there any way to get rid of the lockscreen?
@@togoxoits also that macOS Sonoma is now exclusively optimized for Apple Silicon. You may notice on Intel macs that some features dont perform as well such as the maps application and Google Chrome. The kernal code is no longer optimized for Intel macs.
macOS Catalina feels faster since its less hardware demanding than macOS Sonoma. However if you look at Geekbench scores, the laptop performs just as well on macOS Sonoma as it did on macOS Catalina. Well except for the Google Chrome app, on macOS Sonoma on Intel, it stutters when opening and freezes when scrolling and loading websites.
Answer is no, you don't need to watch the video. You're welcome
I sold this one last year when the M1 prices started crashing in Mexico and in the end just had to put like 100~ usd for the M1

Whoops, meant to edit that out! Oh well haha, thanks for your insight on the Intel models!
The speakers for Mac book air 2018 is awesome. I love my Mac book air 2018 works great for what I need it for.
Bought one for 330 last month in mint condition
Great for everyday work and browsing
I actually used to have this exact MacBook Air back on October 13th 2020, however that one broke so now I have a MacBook Air m1 2020

Go for the M1 you’ll get Apple intelligence and the battery is so good on it
alright thanks
Do you accept trades? Im a big fan and would like to trade my iOS 5.0.1 iPhones 4s for something with similar rarity
M1 or newer 😊
Try M1 macbook air if you don't need native windows os.

i need your help i get an ipod touch 4th and i need your help to help me to downlod apps and games like your videos !!
Intel ram managment is crap, M1 is a lot better. Everything working noticable faster. Cherry on the cake, - battery way way way better on M1.
its not the ram management thats done by the os but intel 10th gen supported ram is way slower than the m series ram

no just get a windows machine if you wont even get the one with an arm chip for better battery
The Apple website will take this exact MacBook Air as a trade in for $359.
Oh wow! That’s a lot more than I paid for it
@@GoJot well, it’s probably worth their while if they can sell a new laptop
@@GoJot I’m thinking of upgrading to the 2024 air m3. Is it significantly faster than the 2020 1.1ghz i5?
Downgrade to Catalina and it would be faster
Application + website compatibility goes down as does security features. Not worth it for your main computer

All Intel Macs will be obsolete when the new system comes out. Only buy m1 or higher.
I had this model it died bc of motherboard issues;)
my i3 macbook air is so bad
Who got free Airpods 2 after buying this machine?
answer: NO
