I love Ecuador been to a few of the places you showed on your video, and that country is so diverse with so many different climates and micro climates, such an interesting country and such nice people. Thanks for an outstanding video once again!!!!❤❤❤❤
Pro tip: put the wine bottle in your shoe after you take off the foil. Bang the heel of the shoe with the wine bottle in it against a vertical surface. The cork will slide out like magic. RUclips is your friend, and this one works. One thing I love about driving Colombia is the way they treat their dogs and the absence of starving strays.
Love Ecuador! Been twice ! The drive from Quito out to the coast to say ayampe is epic ! How you can be at 10,000 ft and same day be out surfing if really wanted too Nicely filmed
You did Ecuador serious justice! This was an awesome account of an amazing country. Cotopaxi is definitely in the supreme level camp spots. A garden and a puppy. What's next?! Now hurry up and get through Peru, we've got some off-roading to do!
Thanks a lot for a wonderful video of my country and its different regions. Sorry for the corrupted transit agents and the difficult situation that we face. Happy that you had a great time
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, and it's alright, it's all part of the trip and we know the issues are limited to a small percentage of bad people. We had great experiences with the locals :)
Love your videos, filming is so beautiful and the narration is just right. Helps all us older travelers that are no longer traveling dream again through your travels. Canadian living in Bocas del Toro, Panama
Looks to me like you all did a tour of sorts of Ecuador. My wife and i went there several years ago and i got to meet a lot of her family and we drove all over Ecaudor with her dad and brother, and what would later become her brothers wife. I love Ecuador, and one day we will retire and live there. My favorite foods were humitas, blackberry smoothy -fresh-, and something called cana which was basically a sugar stalk of some sort we would chew on to get the sugar juices out of.
Just discovered these videos. Absolutely fantastic. Stunning shots, great commentry, love that there are maps as well. It is obvious the guy has done his homework and he doesn't shy away from speaking about the political situation and dirty cops. I will check out all his stuff. Keep up the great work!
Awesome video! Looks like you might need a new head gasket bro! 😮 Hopefully you can find a good shop around ecuador that can fix her up! You're living the dream! Blessings from San Diego
dude fantastic video, I remember your original videos where you were apologizing for the quality, no reason to apologize anymore, great job, keep on truckin!
I went 4 times in Ecuador ( one month each time) and had very differents experiences of yours. This is a country with so much to see. I was mostly running their incredible white water rivers with incredibles views. So very interesting for me to see what I still have to see and experience. And the poeple there are so welcoming. I just happen to know the corruption problems they have and I wish try to get rid of. But in the smalls towns where I was living I had no idea of that. The main problem lies wiht the drog users (buyers) who make our world much corrupt an dangerous. When you have buyers of drugs you merit drugs traficants.
Great video. Bizcochos are delicious. There are dozens of cafes on the way between Otovalo and Quito that serve them. I'm retired in Cuenca. Next time you're in Cuenca you ought to visit the nearby Cajas National Park about forty minutes outside the city. Other RUclipsrs have likened it to the wilds of Scotland. Lots of beautiful lacunas.
Yeah they were all living on the side of the highway. And no, we think she was exhausted at this point, she had made them a separate little hole in dirt and they were well into the weening stage. We had showed her we had a puppy and mad sure she was okay, and by the time Nikki was getting in the truck she had gone back to her spot and took a nap.
I didn't know a single word of spanish when i drove into Mexico, but now it's still bad but I can have a light conversation. Definitely wish I studied before I started though! Would've saved me a lot of grief haha
Nice video! Had a similar encounter with de comission de traffico, but I wouldn't have dared to film them tbh. And my Spanish wasn't as good so I eventually paid the $30 he wanted for letting me go...
In theory about 1000km, but with everything on the roof, mud tires, the extra weight, and the mountains + off roading + airing down, about 800km at most. But honestly, in hindsight I would have just spent the money on an extended fuel tank before starting the trip. You'll make the money back. Also we hardly ever used the fuel jerries in 1.5 years. Gas and diesel are everywhere
EGT readings, we have a gauge with the probe in the exhaust manifold post turbo. There's a knob on the pump you can turn to allow more or less fuel in.
It's simply coca leaves steeped in water. Locals will chew on coca leaves also. You can buy entire bags for pretty cheap at most markets in the andean regions.
@@goaloneTV From what I heard most of the robbing is happening on back roads and highways. Especially at night. They are forcing people to strip down in case they are hiding anything, forcing people to give them their phones, credit cards, accounts and all pass codes. They take all their money from the accounts and then leave the people naked. At least in the US you can protect yourself but even there they are trying to take away that right and if you actually protect yourself you may end up in jail. The world is going crazy
Great video, thanks.
This video made me happy.
I appreciate you pro .God bless you ❤

Casa del Sol is one of my favorite places to stay in Ecuador. Keep up the stellar videos!
Great videos, just so you know, you can open up the bottle of wine with a sports shoe or a boot, a lot less messy.
We'll give it a try if we lose our new corkscrew haha
Very interesting videos
Congratulations on the new crew member. That is one lucky dog.
Thanks!

My favourite country I have never been to
Great video as always!! Welcome to the family Puppy!!!
Well done.
Your content is awesome. much love from Kenya.
Very nice
dude fantastic video, I remember your original videos where you were apologizing for the quality, no reason to apologize anymore, great job, keep on truckin!
Great info. Tempted to start my same model Toyota but short wheel base and head southwards
That’s great! Make room in the back:)

Super! 🙂
I’m all for it homie, been following for a few months now!
Thanks man!

They are delicious! Ah that's too bad we missed it, we were too distracted by the puppy I guess haha. Next time we're in Ecuador it's on the list.
Inspiring dude!
Loving the content, excellent work. Is your girl from back home?
Nah dutch
Quanca you will be missed...😥
Awesome video again.. But no Nikki. 😢
Great video. Was the pups mother a stray? She didn’t mind you taking the pup?

Awesome videos sir. I've been wanting to drive the pan-am for a while now. How's your Spanish? That's one aspect that has kinda held me back
I didn't know a single word of spanish when i drove into Mexico, but now it's still bad but I can have a light conversation. Definitely wish I studied before I started though! Would've saved me a lot of grief haha
@@goaloneTV haha yeah i think ill take a few lessons before beginning that journey. Safe travels!
Hi guys,I have been to Ecuador but never thought I miss so much lol😮out of this world footage congrats.
Nice video! Had a similar encounter with de comission de traffico, but I wouldn't have dared to film them tbh. And my Spanish wasn't as good so I eventually paid the $30 he wanted for letting me go...
Wow max you’re so cool wtf man
I know I can hardly believe it myself Robin
What has been your target fuel range with all those additional fuel canisters?
In theory about 1000km, but with everything on the roof, mud tires, the extra weight, and the mountains + off roading + airing down, about 800km at most. But honestly, in hindsight I would have just spent the money on an extended fuel tank before starting the trip. You'll make the money back. Also we hardly ever used the fuel jerries in 1.5 years. Gas and diesel are everywhere
How did you know fuel was burning high and how did you adjust the pump?
EGT readings, we have a gauge with the probe in the exhaust manifold post turbo. There's a knob on the pump you can turn to allow more or less fuel in.
" no way, thats fucken awesome" hahaha
Good job saving the dog but it comes with limitations. We’re resigned to skipping national parks as we make our own way south.
In which countries?
What was the name of the tea for the altitude sickness, someone?
It's simply coca leaves steeped in water. Locals will chew on coca leaves also. You can buy entire bags for pretty cheap at most markets in the andean regions.
🇱🇰🇱🇰.

Were you afraid of being robbed? Thats a problem here. I live in Quito
Not really afraid, we heard that a lot with Quito, but luckily nothing happened.
