At 14, I went forth in a church building. Said the "sinners prayer"and thought I was saved. Didn't take long and I was right back in my old life again. Several years later my husband of 29 years passed away. I met someone about 8 months later, jumped in too soon and married him. Mainly due to loneliness. The night I spent in a holding tank was the night that I truly found Christ. I realized what a wretched person I was. It was then and there that I truly repented. My life changed after that. Yes, I tried a few church buildings, it's what I grew up with. But knew something was wrong. It wasn't setting right with me so I stopped going. Yes, when God changes us, we don't want to go back. I didn't have a changed life and started going to a large mega church because it wasn't as judgmental as the Baptists. It wasn't until I met my now husband, who was already born again, that I began to question my salvation because he mentioned things to me that I couldn't relate to about chastenings and having a changed life. He answered so many questions that I had, and introduced to me the idea of professing Christians, and that's when I realized I wasn't saved. I turned to God and truly repented. I've only been born again for a year and a half, but so much has changed already. I wish people would understand how crucial examining ourselves in the faith is.

But it was Hebrews 10:26 that was especially explicit. Thank for you for your reply. I have been worried about this for a while now. I can't find many people speaking about that verse in this way, but rather that the author is speaking to Jews that were tempted to go back to Old Covenant practices. But the wording of it is way too straightforward for me to interpret it that way. When you say 'not when God stops forgiving you as the enemy would like Christians to believe', can you elaborate on this? When does God stop forgiving you? The enemy has lead me to think that I'm unforgivable at times, for sure. I once heard a lady say that God doesn't forgive us of our willful sins.

we arnt saved by reluctantly giving up enjoyable sins so that we can go to heaven. repenting of sins is a work, we arnt saved by works, we are saved when we truly believe and if so we will have works but it comes after the Holy Spirit does His work in our heart and we respond and we are blessed.

I propose with this doctrine to reprove everyone and hope to do it with little said as possible by considering 1 thing.
1. Jesus Christ is the same as he ever has been and ever will be.
What is the key that gets you in, you can say grace through faith in Jesus and would be right, but that's not the key, though it is apart of it faith. But that's not the key that unlocks your faith however high minded you may be, consider this. If he's the same as yesterday that is to imply that just like you and me the world dies and come to his throne, so when you call out the misfortune of others and not look upon your self for your burdens though you have none how will answer that question without justifying yourself to works of the law for that was CHRIST work and that is clue to key you need, go to his agony in the garden. Praise Jesus!

If you are truly feeling depressed, know that it is not of God. What you feel is the enemy attacking you. Satan will make you feel bad for believing. It could also be that you feel a sadness for the world, that so many would deny the truth and never receive life.
