I bought a Sony one about 10 years ago, you can kinda see some ghost signals still being broadcast from France on a good day, but I'd love to see if you can mod it to run freeview. you can with a Game Gear TV adaptor.
+Larry Bundy Jr Do you have a link Larry? Is like to see that. I have an inkling of how to do it, but I'd like to see how neat their solution was. i.e. did it all fit inside the GG TV adaptor?
good job you also have a bigger screen casio version that runs fine on batteries (but not mains) and has both rf in and composite in and a psu (that's giving a low voltage) and a video sender that converts composite to rf so you could get a picture on this one too from a vcr or digibox or many consoles
Would you know how to alter the circuitry by making modifications to the function of the pocket tv? I have an idea but some changes to the circuit board would have to be made for it to work. Let me know if you or somebody you know can do this. I have 2 of these. Thanks
I had at least three ,never work much, for a121.00 I expected it to work better,I got more on UHF,of course nobody over here watch UHF,I had another one that reflected into a mirror,I think that was black and white.had a fair picture, now everything here is digital, so they don't work anymore,I wonder if they still sell them its been a long while since I seen one.I think unless you are near a TV source station,is only what they would be any good,I guess you will have to use a smart phone to see TV ?thanks for a great video
could you hack this? Like putting in a micro-SD slot or something like that, allowing you to play video files on it? That'd be an interesting little thing to do with this :3
+ImpaledGryphon sounds like a good plan! I'm also looking into old modulator modules from various computers, those should be able to get even old manual tune TVs into composite games playing beasts 😀
3:56 normaly 2KV-15KV but not stable... => mostly a little burn but not more... do NOT trust me... 6:20 sonds right. Mayby i will buy one. But it could be LVDS stuff witch it's complicate... 6:55 Jes. dont do that!!!

find data sheet for that chip, should tell you which is composite in, then hack time
+Technics Guy sounds like a plan!
Woah, we had one of these back in the day. I think my parents got it when they went to a caravan time share presentation or something.

+ImpaledGryphon I'm really looking forward to going deeper on this. I am curious as to the differences between the two manufacturers!

I suspect the back light will be dead. Very hard to fix
Man, it has charging input? Or it works just with battery
Only works with battery
@@backofficeshow man, I think you are wrong. My friend has that machine. He told me it has a charging input on left side
Ok, best to listen to him then
Hi, I have one of these (slightly different model but still a Citizen) and I have the mains adaptor which goes with it, so you can use either.
OK what a back office box ,I think I missed something
+Ron Thompson was a box I made up of a few gadgets and parts

+Directionally Challenged jamming a pi into it to turn it into a media player 🤔
I would have been all over that with the Atari ST, jamming the end of the RF flylead onto the aerial. ;)
Use it out side
+josh smith Nothing to receive in the UK. Just ghostly phantoms! 😂
fix my rf sender then test it out, should reach outside at least from the widow to the garden
