I love the shootouts that you guys do. It would be really helpful if you could provide a screenshot of the settings for each section of the videos.

Glad you like them! Each Shootout takes about 4-6 Hours to do as I have to write each riff, test record them with different settings, A/B Record them with and without boost, Filming, editing... lots of times it's hard to keep energy and interest up on my end for these. Taking a shot of each setting would take me out of focus. I'm sure it seems like such a small thing to do... but I don't really have much interest in it. Besides II would end up getting the comments of "I Tried your settings and they don't sound the same" and "It would sound better if you moved blah blah blah to blah blah blah". So omitting settings from these videos also saves me headaches. Cheers -Ryan

@@Crypticmaskguitar I appreciate the reply. That makes sense. By the way, I love how you guys use a consistent set up, so it's really easy to get a sense of the differences in the amps, with everything else being held constant. I have learned a lot about the amps from your videos. I have a DSL20HR, and after years of obsessive knob tweaking, mic placement changes, and other fruitless experiments, I finally "get" the amp and why it sounds the way it sounds. Because I failed to take into account that it is designed to be a Mesa-like modern metal amp first and foremost, I expected the amp to sound more like a JCM800, but after hearing your many videos of the DSL line versus other amps, I finally get that that is just the sound they were designed for, and I have also developed an ear and appreciation for the DSL sonic aesthetic, whereas in the past, I used to think the things sounded like a thin, fizzy mess, scooped, boomy mess. Thank you again for all your contributions, and keep up the great work.

TSL all day. More mid forward and punchy to me.

I used to own the TSL and was my favorite amp. Wonder which channel and setting you had the TSL on in this demo. The DSL had more low end in this comparison, but I KNOW for a fact the TSL has that capability. It used to shake the steel beams in my house on 3

Would love to hear to amps tested against another in standard tuning with the same guitar instead of showing off fancy guitars and loud backing tracks.

RUclips videos are free to make. The more of these comparison videos that people make the better! Hopefully you can make yours soon. Cheers -Ryan

@@Crypticmaskguitar thanks. I have made a few over the past 15 year. Just saying people want to hear the amp in comparison with other.

People want to hear different things. They either want to hear it in a mix, alongside drums, on it's own, with cheap guitars, with expensive guitars, standard tuning, 7 strings, 8 strings, 9 strings, Drop D, Drop C#, Drop C, Drop B, Drop A#, Drop G, Boosted, unboosted, Dry Mix, EQ'd Mix... you see how this works. The best thing to do if you don't see what you like in a video would be to make your own video featuring what you would like to see. If you already have experience in making videos then all the better. It's all in the name of variety and availability. Cheers -Ryan

Another awesome video man. On your tsl, can you hear your guitar through the speakers with all of the volumes off? I think that I have something that failed in the volume circuit that is causing mine to be extremely fizzy.
