Nice video. Almost exactly how I maintain my mini-a once every few months, except I don’t bother unscrewing the burr set. Bonus tips: before I pull apart I mark where the 0 is with a label sticker. I then mark the 0 point where the burrs touch. 7:12 Push the 0 back to the first sticker and it is almost always at the identical point and minimal dialling in is required. I use the 0 point mark to know where my grind is at until my next cleaning.
Useful tutorial, thanks! Watching various Mini Mazzer maintenance videos I am amazed that nobody suggests putting small parts like springs and screws into some sort of container so they don't go AWOL. I mean, you're probably working in a kitchen and any small parts you drop will be affected by Fridge Suck (the most powerful force in the universe) and end up in the exact centre of the space under the fridge.
Mate, the lower burr carrier should have been removed. The issue is that it is pressed on on some of the Mazzers and it is virtually impossible to take it out. There is always gunk below that carrier which is hard to remove without removing. I have had no luck getting that out myself. Is yours easily removable ?
Thank you for your comment. I haven't yet tried removing the lower burr carrier... Not sure if the thread of the Screw is left-handed. Thank you for the heads up!
