Stadium Super Trucks is hilarious. But they should have gone all-out: run the normal IMS oval, but with a HUGE ass jump at the beginning and 2/3rd mark of both the long straights
That's nowhere near the worst for SST Back in ¿Texas?, they made a weird figure-8 layout consisting of · Them starting on the pitlane · Going on the infield · Doing some go-around including a gap jump (I think somebody came up short once and got hurt) · Going back to the track but running it backwards · End it by turning around using the mini-oval thingy to get back on the pitlane
@@DanArnets1492 Oh no way! I thought I was the only one who watched GRC on here! Yeah some of their tracks were WEEEIRD but for every weird one, we had a cool one like Charlotte Dirt Oval, Foz, Thompsons, and more. Are you aware of Nitrocross by any chance?
I don't think it was viable financially for them. I bought tickets to a planned Soldier Field race that got cancelled and moved to the Chicagoland dirt track instead
Probably costs way way more to build a track in a stadium than just throw a couple ramps on an existing road course. In fact ill go out on a limb and say im certain of it lol
The most pristine infield grass in all of motorsports and they just let Robby Gordon and his boys tear it all to hell. Perfect.
Had to have been before Roger took over. Penske is rumored to be very protective of his infield grass.
Probably the most interesting version of IMS infield. Other than the time the kerb destroyed everyone
A layout that tore up enough grass that the Hulman-George family never invited them back.

That is the weirdest track layout I’ve ever seen
The layout is simple **draws a bunch of sguiggily lines** see?!
2021 when the curb self-destructed.
I can’t tell what’s worse; the layout of the track itself or the camera angles
Ok I ADORE Stadium Super Trucks but what the actual hell.
Imagine showing Tony Hulman this

I thought that’s what this video would be. SST really does use the wonkiest tracks from time to time.
Some of their tracks makes COTAs Rallycross layout look good.

• The GRC course in New Hampshire jumped over the pitwall thanks to an awkward makeshift ramp+hairpin combo

Was Arie Luyendyk laid up in one of those things?! I bet he was having some fun driving those things!
It's Jr. Not 2-time winner Arie.. Arie Jr. ran in the SST series full time for the first few years of it's existence.
Never let bro cook again💀
Hey!!! Also I agree fr ☠️
god bless the stadium super trucks
Remember, this is where Sheldon Creed got his start. 2015 and 2016 champion before heading to NASCAR.
Although idk what year this is from.
The only cool part of that course was the tight hairpin that the late Ken Block would salivate over (last corner).
I love Doug Boles lmfao
OK BUT JOEY GASE BRO💀
I've heard of helmet toss but a bumper toss. 😂
Who the hell drives without gloves now a days...
Rednecks, which would be appropriate for this sort of racing lol
not trying to come off as a hater; I actually adore this series
I remember this!!
What even is this layout? is immediately what i said after seeing the road course turn in... turn... 2..ish.. hm....
What if World Rallycross Championship comes to here?
Tony George is having a heart attack over this.
Good.
im sorry, when did this happen?
What fans don't want to admit is that this is the only way NASCAR could work at IMS.
I’d like to know why the super trucks never race in actual stadiums full of dirt…you know like they did in the 90s
They did. But only during the 1st season
@@NascarNixon kinda defeats the point of an off road beast of a truck don’t you think?

I miss when SST ran dumb crap layouts like this
