nah panther has absolutely horrible sides, plus you can bounce any shell except for a few high caliber ones when facing foward. angling provides no benefit in this tank because the already good frontal armor when angled isnt enough to stop rounds powerful enough to penetrate without angling. and like i said before, you expose your extremely weak side armor

T29 pretty easy to take out just shoot gun view port it usually one shot or just hit mg port on hull like with every other US tank that usually one shot to
FYI: Since the volumetric shell update the overlap on the gun mantle offers far more protection. This means that the turret has gone from basically being one massive weak spot to having a (relatively small) weak spot on either side of the gun
@DestroyerTom How? Out of all the mediums that the BR it's got by far the best gun, by far the best armour and competitive mobility. If it wasn't for german teams this would be 6.0/6.3 easily

This is better than the panther II in my opinion, better gun for the tier, better armor for the tier, double turret rotation, only thing panther II is superior is mobility but is a small difference
In terms of realistic gun sights, it is really impractical for AB and RB, since gaijin already put in a universal sight for everyone to use. I was shooting his gun barrel to try and knock it out; it bounced off the bottom, penned the upper area of his frontal plate and hit his ammunition, knocking it out. It was as much a shock for me as I'm sure it was for them.
Yeah I managed to hold my own against I think 2 Sherman’s and an M6 in this thing, and I also just didn’t die that match. This is why I really really like this thing, and also why I think the Centurion 1 shouldn’t have been moved to 6.0. The Cent 1 and Comet are the best counters for the Panther, and why they should both be at 5.7.
for those who kinda want to know the gun mantlet turret trap was a common known weakspot of the panther durning the war it was the reason the panther G and F models where made to counter this weak spot
Your guides are always awesome but can i ask that you make map guides? knowing all about your tank amounts to very little if you don't know how to use it on maps which makes players play very campy or very aggressively. I know it's not the most fun videos but it's a very important part of the game that people hardly talk about.
6:45 It’s due to the fact that all panthers were using old transmission from Panzer IV. It was manufacturer restriction not to destroy transmission and gearbox. Only panther that meant to use new transmission was panther II but it didn’t happen
A good thing to do when you are shot at is to angle the turret to the left or to the right somehow like you would do with the Maus. It works good on Panther A bcz you also have the added tracks on the side of the turret
my friend uses a PS4 and after I played a single battle I think it's super difficult. Can you guys at least plug in mouse and a keyboard? Will the game see them, and even assign default PC hotkeys?
One of my favorite tanks for the Germans. At long range God like, close quarters okish - trash. And at 5.7 it has a serious opponent: the IS-2, which will have no problem penetrating your hull and deleting your Panther.
What I tend to do is not stay hull down at range. This encourages people to hit center of mass especially at newer people in that case, the hull is impenetrable.
While the turret is a weak spot, because of the curved face and the 100mm thickness of the plate, you can angle your turret against guns of a bore less than 100mm, receiving much greater protection than you would think. Solid shot ap shells from the 17pdr will often fail to do significant damage post pen due to the armour overmatching the shell.
I do want to say this: angle just so your barrel is hovering above the track cover on the front, this will give you optimal armor for the front without sacrificing armor on the sides
Gotta love Panther drivers who angle their tank just bit too much exposing their sides which you can then blast through with murican 76mm, sovjet 85mm/122m or 17-pounder.
I gotta add something. Being up-tiered is a pain, simply because you will go againts Sabo, and that just goes thru your frontal plate like a peace of cake and a 9mm.
The reason that the tank cannot accelerate past 39 kmph is because the tank was installed with a governor that limited the rpm because of it was to high it would often lead to engine breakdowns
Angling the turret especially with add on armor is a good idea actually. Around 30 degrees from forward is decent i think, might have to check in depth.
I would say this tank is worse at close quarters than other medium tanks at its tier. Bad reverse speed, extremely poor side armour that is also a huge area and easy to pen turret (at close range) makes me always want to stay at a comfortable distance from the enemy when i play it.
The Panther is a heavy tank, not medium. It was assigned to medium tank battalions, but was a heavy tank outweighing many a heavy tank from the allies.
When playing panther and you are in situation you get hit... Rotate the turret like you would Tiger hull. This saves me 7 times out of 10 rounds i get hit by. Basicaly the round will ricoche or will hit barrel or wont penetrate. Enemy might hit the side of the turret when u rotate and the round just bouncess of. Or agaisnt AP enemies you can rotate the turret the way you lose loader but not gunner.
How to deal with the panther from the front: Shoot the barrel and hope he has no friend so you can nail it in the side. Many m18's have died attempting this maneuver.
"This tank is bad at nothing." Decide to skip some seconds, one click into 0:51, immediately see turret crews all dead. Well it's panther what could I expect
Since the unrealistic buff for most of the american gund yes the turret armor is useless In ww2 the whole front of the panther was nearly unpenetratable
I still remember playin first time with Panther... i was against 3-4 other tanks, stuck in a shtty situation and still managed to destroy all of them one by one. My tank was more than heavily damaged but hey... German moving bunker is a thing :D
Best panther of all 4.I played with it ad was like "oh yeah, panthers are cool" then i started grinding thry panter tech tree...oh boy...what a mistake...
Indeed, its an excellent tank with deadly apfsds and stabilized gun, but since is new and everybody can get it from the event, a lot of them miserably die since they arent acostumed to paper armor vehicles playstyle
@@toki_tsu_kaze5511 im getting the hang of the tank as i've only gotten it a few days ago, i'm now getting zone captures or a kill before a die, but normally on certain maps my strategy is to just rush a road or a dead area to the enemy spawn and rack up 3-4 kills by camping it
I think is more useful and sane to camp the approach to a capture point instead of their spawn, or get to high ground to spot the enemy, or stay behind your frontline allieas to help them repair, if you are in squad with another light tank, you cam go flank together and dominate the map(did that in a normal aubl wjth a ally ru251) if you cant pen them, shoot at their gun so they cant counterattack
honestly at 5.7 the panther A is probably the scariest tank I find facing because the gun and hull armor are so good and penning the turret can be unreliable.
Awesome video! Please can you make a video speaking about the Tiger, and some tips of positioning be cause i feel confused some times, what to do and when? Should i go for other place in the map? :P Thanks for the pacience.
I have never been reliably able to pen the front turret; then again I play Brit so most of the time facing Panthers I'm either in a 4.7 with a 17 pounder or in a 6.7 which can Sabot its way through the upper plate anyway

But that apcr would be useful against the t34 and t29 American heavies
2:11, thats why you use HE rounds for those type of vehicles. They work better
2:18 that beautiful texture quality
Since the unrealistic buff for most of the american gund yes the turret armor is useless
In ww2 the whole front of the panther was nearly unpenetratable
I still remember playin first time with Panther... i was against 3-4 other tanks, stuck in a shtty situation and still managed to destroy all of them one by one. My tank was more than heavily damaged but hey... German moving bunker is a thing :D
Its so funny to see T 34 85 trying to pen you , god panther is a beast
I think the biggest downsight is the slowyness. I mean the Tigers feel much more agile wich is not historically right
Best panther of all 4.I played with it ad was like "oh yeah, panthers are cool" then i started grinding thry panter tech tree...oh boy...what a mistake...
The best panther is the ersatz m10 panther it has more armor and the turret moves faster.
@@joseavila2443 Yup but its not free.
I don’t really understand why peoples dislike this tank,it has much better armor and gun than both T-34/85 and and 76mm Shermans.
6:04 laughts in the t34 with a shell that have 160 grams of tnt
Everytime I play this tank I think of how overpowered it is and I love it.lso love the tiger H
I hate fighting these. Even if my shell is hitting couple or side, it will never penetrate... Is there some type of German Stalinium I don’t know of?
It's called "Germanium"
@@volant6688 kruppshteel
It's called summer 1941
4:47 I tried that on one that I couldn't pen and it worked THANKS
Finally some wehraboo stuff for my wehraboo body
It be like "wehrabooty"
do a review on the AUBL HVG please
a lot of people play the tank but die really quickly without kills
Indeed, its an excellent tank with deadly apfsds and stabilized gun, but since is new and everybody can get it from the event, a lot of them miserably die since they arent acostumed to paper armor vehicles playstyle
@@toki_tsu_kaze5511 im getting the hang of the tank as i've only gotten it a few days ago, i'm now getting zone captures or a kill before a die, but normally on certain maps my strategy is to just rush a road or a dead area to the enemy spawn and rack up 3-4 kills by camping it
J Wilt ironically the first tank I kill with it was the is-7 lol
I think is more useful and sane to camp the approach to a capture point instead of their spawn, or get to high ground to spot the enemy, or stay behind your frontline allieas to help them repair, if you are in squad with another light tank, you cam go flank together and dominate the map(did that in a normal aubl wjth a ally ru251)
if you cant pen them, shoot at their gun so they cant counterattack
Definitely to get the panther I will have to get the Panzer IV G and H
2:45
You lucky bastard
honestly at 5.7 the panther A is probably the scariest tank I find facing because the gun and hull armor are so good and penning the turret can be unreliable.
But if you find a panther A user loading full shells, you can just ammo rack from the side. Its so funny ammo racking noobie panthers
I love how almost all of the vid is him wrecking hellcats
I like the music! how is it named?
Awesome video! Please can you make a video speaking about the Tiger, and some tips of positioning be cause i feel confused some times, what to do and when? Should i go for other place in the map? :P Thanks for the pacience.
I have never been reliably able to pen the front turret; then again I play Brit so most of the time facing Panthers I'm either in a 4.7 with a 17 pounder or in a 6.7 which can Sabot its way through the upper plate anyway
Do a review on the Ferdinand
It’s so good I use it in my lineup against 6.7 and sometimes 7.3
Panther A is the best out off all for 2 reasons it has the best engine power and fastest turret rotation speed and that at 5.7
Impossible to kill jumbo through the front plate normally now after the stupid volumetric update. Only pixel-wide easy to hide mg port
Very nice editing.
