more likely a firefly that is actually better.
because it has turret armor, gun depression, more reliable shell that also pens more effectively BR for BR, and has a bigger ready rack

@@hellono6501 firefly is not a particularly good tank outside of its gun. Only -5 depression is incredibly limiting. Shermans are horribly slow and unstable without the stabalizer as well. And the older suspension exacerbates both of those issues. Its the 50mm armored version too so its armor even at its BR is very underwhelming. Only -5 kph reverse is standard. But with everything else it could really use more.
I always call it the Tank Destroyer Larping as a Medium
@@robertharris6092 i mean it is still better than a comet or avenger, gut if you want to play with a sherman that has high pen solidshot, just play the french version with the SA50. essentially better in every way.

It's fun, but the gun handling is very poor.
Good advice to talisman this one. You’re going to use it a lot even in 6.3/6.7/7.0 lineups. 3 respawns also let you quickly grind crew points in arcade.
If you just want to grind crew points, then Sakeen is also a good choice. It is very OP in air arcade and respawns 6 times in one battle if you spend a backup.
This tank is so underrated it is literally a king tiger/tiger killer. This thing can kill pretty much anything at BR and a little bit above it you can’t hate on it. It is such a good tank. I have over 20 hours in this tank and I tell you what it is literally because you get it spent three times using it in a battle every time I have this I drop at least 10 to 12 kills per game and I make about 100,000 silver lines and about 12,000 RP because I have premium account and attachment and a talisman on the vehicle trust me guys as soon as you’re able to get this tank you are going to have a good time now don’t get me wrong being in stock is painful. You are slow but if you play right and you hit tanks on the side, even on the front you will do very good with this

I have the M51 (W) and the reserve M51, my favourite lineup 😂
The M-51 is honestly pretty broken when used correctly because on its battle rating and even slightly higher battle rating (6.0-7.7 or 8.3) depending on if it's an uptier or down tier this thing is guaranteed to penetrate the armor of every tank from any angle and any distance but the only real issue with it is that it uses one type of ammunition(HEAT). The HEAT round isn't per say bad or good by any means the issue is that it is the only ammo type available besides HE and that the post penetration damage is highly inconsistent from my own experience the amount of shots needed to take out a heavy tank are 1 or 5 depending on the post penetration damage the reason I don't include medium tanks is because the HEAT round is more consistent there with 1 or 2 shots needed to take them out with the only acception being the panther because in the game the panther is pretty much a medium tank In a heavy tanks body. In my opinion it is best to use this tank defensively to snipe people, hold down chokepoints or suppress enemy positions
i love the m-51, my favorite tank before it was the sherman firefly, the m-51 is quite literally a super firefly, it's also the only tank that i got a nuke with (only once though), great tank plus looks cool

I've been playing WT since 2018 and when this tank came out, I started to play it 2 months later.. and played it continously for a year or so.. this tank became the tank I had the most kills in since you can use it 3 times in a battle without eating up any backup tank.. the problem is the armor isn't that good and my kills per death ratio is not good.. but this is a fun tank that I use when I try to finish the achievement in kill assist.. it 400mm of pen is unreliable in one-shots but still effective enough to damage any component.. overall still a fun tank to be in if you don't mind getting killed that easy..
thats why whenever i'm using HEAT/HEATFS rounds i'm always aiming at the upper plate under the gun because it'll knock out the crew in the turret 9/10 and mantle
I was honestly quite happy to finally get rid of m 51, not a bad tank at all but I had no fun playing it. I really only used it to unlock the t54 and once I had that I never played m 51 again
This thing goes into 8.0 and still has a fighting chance.

Some guys like me uses the m51 as a pretty good indirect fire killer bc of the slow speed HEAT, some of the enemies dont even know from where is coming the shot, better if you have the rangefinding skill at max
The best thing about it is, you only have to pay for repair 1 time as well. Its insanely economic

When using the M-51 I got really close to getting a nuke multiple times, it’s a really amazing vehicle if you know how to use what you get correctly
The cannon is insane, I think the tank is still amazing, sad no .50 :(
i got the premium one to make a wider lineup but i realized that this one gets 3 spawns. So it wasnt needed.
Centurions are slower. In fact, centurions got gears so bad it feels like you are walking.

I hate this tank with a passion. From my experience it’s heat always at the very least knocks out your gun. You can’t angle because it’s heat, and if it gets the first shot off it’s nearly impossible to survive.
And they only give the premium version the .50 ….
