- It's crazy how big of an impact these little things have had on my climbing. I truly think they have been a massive factor in my climbing performance this year.

Genuinely just love how you’re explaining and breaking down the process 👌🏻
I hate it. It makes me angry
@@brandonsbeta5162 oh….ok
Psyched you’re enjoying them, mate. It would seem one persons trash is another persons treasure hey 😀😂
Love the video, awesome climbing! Yeah I think boulders and routes are mutually beneficial (with in addition to what you said from boulder-> routes, the reverse brings the "thinking on the fly" and fighting through difficulty that can benefit persisting on a boulder send go even when things aren't going absolutely to plan, if that makes sense. Thanks for sharing!
Psyched you enjoyed the video, mate. Yes, totally agree with what you're saying. I have 100% found that to be the case :)
Congrats on the sends!
They are very fun bits of climbing :)
Nice send! 👊🏼
BTW- It was cool hearing your commentary in the IFSC comp today, but sorry you weren't climbing instead...
Fun to be in the booth. For sure it would’ve been fun to be on the mats, there was a little pang of missing out. But fun to be concentrating on the outdoor stuff 😀
Can’t wait for doors of stone first ascent!
Haha you and the rest of the universe 😫
please don't eat the ice pack! haha, awesome video as always, you have such unique perspectives on things, and also i enjoy the australian accent, i am trying to learn it haha
But how does everything stay cold in my belly then? Haha let me know how you go. It’s an odd one to get your mouth around 😂
@@TomOHalloranAus haha true, gotta have a cold belly! yeah it is hard to nail the mouthsounds haha, but some phrases i can pick up!
Haha good one. Maybe a trip down under so you can test where you’re at with your learning and really live in the culture 😂
@@TomOHalloranAus that would be amazing, but also so many scary animals haha! also i didnt know you comment on the oceania qualifiers, that was a cool surprise! have fun for the finals tomorrow! for us they'll be at 7:00 AM, so i'll watch a bit after the fact 😅
Really enjoying your commentary on the IFSC channel for the Melbs comp 👍
Thanks mate. Looking forward to finals today
Another Rothfuss Reference!!
There's a heavy sprinkle everywhere :)
aw no sit start vid? i'm guessing it didn't change the grade too substantially? but rad video as always!
Nah I just wanted a simple little morning and didn’t drag the camera out. I think it added about .5 grade. It was a hard first move to the RH pocket then a couple foot moves to get into the squat start in the vid. I might head back and film it sometime soon 😀
@@TomOHalloranAus please do! it's a cool line and seeing it in its entirety would be awesome!
Hey Tom ! Just moved back to aus after a period in vancouver and am dreading training/climbing in the heat. Any strategies that you've implemented to help with this? Honestly thinking of just making a small shed with air con and a training wall at this point...
Train early morning / night 85-90% of summer nights and mornings should be around 20-24 degrees celcuis combine that with ur shed and ur sorted, it’s not that bad
Will definitely cover this in an upcoming video. Great to know people want to know 😀✌️
Yes good tips @bigdog5112
Move to Melbourne haha, it's technically summer now and I'm wearing a sweater midday
Yo Tom what kind of rock is that? Looks amazing!
River washed sandstone. It’s very very nice 👌
Nowra V2 there
If it were over graded maybe haha
Haha imagine sport climbing
Have yet to sport climb, just been bouldering the past 4 years lol
Haha sport climbing is the best 😀. You just get to do more climbing each time. Bouldering is pretty awesome though. You’ve not wasted your time👌
@@TomOHalloranAusI’ll get into it eventually. My roomate multi pitches so I’ll def end up joining him one day. But for now my boulder siege continues!
Hump of Trouble video?
Coming…. Sorry it’s taken forever. It’s been a strange one to make
Absolute beast you get so many tries in 😮
haha that's my biggest asset and weakness. A lot of hamster wheel tries in a session.
That bloc looks incredible. Is it an open crag?
Flick me a dm if you want
Great looking problem! So the 'proper' sit start is V13 or what you did on video? Looks hard!
I’d say what I did in the video was about V12/13. The sit I think makes it solidly in the V13 range
Yeah it looks great!@@TomOHalloranAus Looking forward to tomorrow's livestream ...
Sick video as always! Where I live we also have a lot of boulders with no info/guides it makes it fun to be able to show up and play around.
Nice one. It’s such a great little adventure to just pull on and see what happens. Super cool
Yes. I love the "pull on with performance mindset"
It’s a winner for sure!
Also, haven’t seen you in a while, mate. Welcome back 😀✌️
@@TomOHalloranAus Trying to get back in the content game. Been climbing well though
Nice one 😀✌️👊
