A little trick I have known about electronics. If you buy some long lasting clear nail polish and spread a nice even thin coat on the top and bottom of the circuit board and let it dry good. This will offer waterproof protection to the board protecting the board from damage. Make sure power is off and I don't mean you can sink your Avata into a stream and expect it to be completely sealed, but it will offer some protection and this could make flying your drone in the snow when you crash giving you a much better experience and less issues.

When I get my quads wet I disconnect the battery as quickly as can like yank away to prevent any shock jumping so anything else don't fry. Then I shake it to loosen and get out as much water, I dry it off using a hair dryer on low heat then put in black plastic bag with dry beads set in sun for a day. All this allows the electronics in the quad to dry before I plug battery back in n hope I get lucky.
I know you commented over a year ago, but I couldn’t resist seeing you use a hairdryer to dry wet electronics. You see, when you use a hairdryer you plug it into the wall with loads of electricity giving it power. While blowing with it some electricity becomes static electricity which easily could just fry/zap anything electrical in the battery or the drone. I once got some sand in my drone and tried to use a blow dryer and then the whole drone stopped working. I searched it up and realised that the static electricity has a high risk of zapping out anything electrical and damaging it beyond my ability of repair.

Did you try weighing each of the props to see if there was a difference between any of them I mean it sounds like an imbalance somewhere
Ye, and also did again today. First was 10g on all props. Now 9g on all props 7x times.
Either 1 is off or all is below the 2g stated.
Could be the reason.
(Im out doing more test now, so will see)
The tilt while hovering and sometimes in fwd flight , at higher altitude happens on mine as well, 95% sure it related to wind against the side of the Avata. My other FPV quads dont do this, Nazgal, Flywoo LR. I hate it happens on the Avata..

@@jeffreynolds2190I can back up your statement i aswel have a DJI avata and when I go above a certain point I catch the wind and my drone comps for it and therefore tilts

DJI propellers are just breaking out of nowhere dropping the avatar, I'm glad we have other options.

I really do love my Avata. One big thing that just freaking annoys me about the Avata design is that landing gear setup. You get too close to the ground and instead of a design that just has a smooth surface on the bottom like rails that traveled from front to back where sand, dirt, weeds, grass, cement, etc would flow underneath would save a bunch of accidents and prevent all the cracking, breaking and shredding that the plastic on the bottom pins go through would really help protect the aircraft from ground damage. Even the Bottom sensors would have a little extra protection from possible damage.
Imagine if Santa's slay had tab bottoms like the Avata, instead of rails to slide across the snow and roof tops when landing. You'd freaking kill Santa Claus! No presents for any boys and girls good or bad, because Santa would be dead! 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🎅
THIS. I've thought about even buying some of those stupid little landing gear add ons from amazon... but I don't want to set the CG off plus those would probably break stupid fast

Also alot about timing and planning your shots. U want to pay attn to weather sky all that un predictable stuff an dbe ready. U need to find a spot some times u have to travel camp out fir a bit etc n be in the air before your shot is set to go .so you are ready ..also there's alot of apps like golden hour apps so u know when the sun sets and rises on the dot. Make sure u search for golden hour not golden shower .you will learn alot from both. But the hour one is what your looking for lol

I have a DJI FPV I installed air screwed propellers on I also had instability problems, you know it's not wind because when it rocks from one side to the other quickly and that's not wind, I flew back to my takeoff point slowly and before I knew it the rear props were malfunctioning and it flew backwards very quickly because the front reared up like a horse and I landed it, I was only a foot and a half off the ground the battery popped out and I broke the stability arms that I had installed thank God for those arms I ordered another pair $15,00 worth every penny 🙆🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️💥

@@RobHK nice i got mine shipped to south america before they stopped shipping international, but im sure dobo is your buddy, enjoy it, works like no other battery fail-safe (tried velcro + a cheap one from amazon, the strap is on another level).

Drew - I’d recommend the Avata, however, with the standard, not motion controller. While the motion controller is much easier for a beginner to use, you cannot go sideways or backup.
Just build a drone by yourself and make it waterproof since the beginning, it will be a journey 👍

I’m not sure why every time I fly directly into a tree the Avata seems to “wobble”…(I’m glad this guy isn’t my next commercial flight pilot…)
so real question is avata worth it since buying goggles and drone separate is same price as full pack with motion controller.. people say its under powered and shit like that but what i can see its pretty fine

@@RobHK never flew fpv irl only simulators im not aiming for race fpv just for recording for example mtb or cinematic stuff and similar. id use it for stuff dji mini 3 cant execute well enough.
@@RobHK what got me worried is ive seen yt video of 10 year expirienced fov race drone guy putting avata down through whole video but my best guess is he expected race drone performance out of cinewoop drone that is never ment to be race drone
