- Always wanted to see how fast I could do this by myself, with all the mishaps and distractions I'd say 5 hours is pretty good!

I think that the wheels you took off look better for the truck anyways than the white ones.
Agreed if he cleaned them up a bit and gave them a fresh coat of paint
Love their simplicity! Definitely miss those days.
You need to come to the South and buy one with hardly any rust.
Dude your an inspiration to me. I’m looking for an older s10 like yours and building something cool. But with bills and fuels prices it’s ridiculous! But thank you for the inspiration to keep pushing
I have exactly what you're looking for $$
I dropped my 98 s10 in a day a while back. 2" drop spindles in the front and 3" blocks in the back
Another channel I recently found has those wheels in a 14", they were stock on a Sunbird (77-80).
These are are actually the same 14’s!
Great job! Thank you for posting the video
Get some!
Looks 100% better now
Real old school trick is dont touch anything and hit the front springs with a torch and watch it drop once it heats up then heat up the back leaf springs and get a buddy to push on the back tailgate take about 2 - 3 hours and you got yourself a race car lol cause it will sure feel like a race car watch train tracks and bumps if you do this
Looking to lower my 1986 S10 Blazer, what's the link for your kit?
Great video man. Now I know what to do and not to do 😂 you’re not the first to cut the breakline, so I’m just gonna hassle with the bolts myself 😂 Btw what rims are those? Size rubber ?
Dude, it looks like you are in Edmonton…are you in Edmonton? What part?
Sherwood park actually!
zq8s are superior imo but the 14's do look nice!!
When he just slid em up under the truck i bout died. Thems hard to find now for a decent price
9 am worried about noise and im out in the morning at 8 using an air impact lol
I did a 2-4 drop on my sons 89’ in about 2 1/2 hrs. Now in fairness to you. 1) it wasn’t rusty 2) I do this stuff day in day out. 3) I didn’t record it, just got in there and got it done. 4) did I mention it wasn’t rusty?? You could’ve gotten it done faster if you weren’t filming or rusty. I had a limited amount of time in which to get it done is the main reason I didn’t film it.
The rust and recording is really what took most of my time up. And breaking that brake like, then a couple buddies came over while I was working, so all said and done pretty not bad for a Saturday
@@ak_strem7010 buddies mean well, but get some tools in your hand and stop talking. 😂
Boo yah. It does look good!
V8 and or 4 cylinder springs don't exist and for another when you install drop spindles the geometry of the suspension doesn't change so adjusting toe is not needed.
Truck was a 4 cylinder, has 4 cylinder springs. It’s v8 swapped, hence why it sits lower.
Bell tech spindles DO NOT keep the original steering geometry, so toe has to be set...however due to the fact it’s not changing the suspension itself you are correct but it’s the CAMBER that does not have to be adjusted.
whats up my dude
So I bought 2 inch lowering blocks for the rear of my 91 single cab short bed s10. However they are universal blocks and they aren't tapered to 2 degrees like others I've seen. Can anyone tell me , does that 2 degrees really make a difference or will I be ok using the flat blocks?
I’m PRETTY sure your drive shaft will be off 2 degrees after the drop causing a vibration at higher speeds, if you dropped it and are getting vibrations that’s the reason
@@ceelo240 thanks I actually returned them and got the correct tapered ones after posting this 😁
@@The_gordo_channel that’s good, it’s a pain trying to get everything back to factory angle. Haven’t lowered my 93 s10 blazer yet, been doing a lot of research before I commit
What I don’t understand is a why would you lower it and be there is so much rust and miss matched paint on that truck. I think there’s a few other things that you should probably do to it first.…
It’s a shitbox that’s the whole point lol
"should do" just aint as fun as "want to"
I can lower a truck in a minute thirty with my pocket knife
Rusty is your family
why would you or anyone lower a truck if you want some low to the ground go buy a car
