- The HMT ImpactaMag® Impact reamer is a unique double-use reamer for enlarging and aligning holes in metals and hard materials; with a specially designed cutting geometry that is designed to allow the tool to be used in an Impact wrench or a Magnet drill. When used in an Impact wrench it is secured into a special adapter meaning the tool is easier to control, apply correct feed rate, and withdraw from the finished hole, enhancing tool life. This reamer will also fit into a standard weldon magnet drill arbor, providing a versatile 2 in 1 solution for circumstances where it may be more appropriate to use a magnet drill.

*Awesome impact **MyBest.Tools** Takes tires off in a second. Plenty of power for what I’ve used it for - rotating tires. Using it on 3rd setting for removal and 2nd setting for tightening lugs.*
I used ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4ynqaujg7rZKFapA8s29kTpRszJGa3-K this for the first time today to replace the front wheel bearing on my rwd 98 dodge dakota. This had absolutely no issue removing or reinstalling the lug nuts and it took off the axle nut without any struggle. Sounds like it's got some muscle to it. Time will tell
As a Millwright we make sure the holes line up properly and don't have to ream them out. :)
as a steel erector this looks great i dont know i havent found yall before. we usually take a standard reamer and weld a 1-1/4 nut to it and hit it with a socket. this looks like a reliable concept
Hi @tylernorman thanks for your comment and your interest in Holemaker Technology. It sounds as though our reamers would definitely offer you an upgrade and a much easier and more streamlined way of working. Depending upon your requirments and tooling we also now offer a new product the VersaDrive Reamer. This product uses an adapter to fit into an impact driver, impact wrench or magnetic drill much the same as the one featured in the video only the new range of adapters opens up a much wider variety of cutting and drilling tools for use across both impact and rotary tooling as our VersaDrive range uses a bespoke Hexagon shank that fits into the VersaDrive adapters and means that you can now use reamers, taps, drillbits and much more on Impact and Rotary. Batteries die out real quick
Using different brand Adapter for few years.
Rotabroach bit with half inch impact drill.
Absolutely loving it, specifically for confined spaces or deep drilling.
Mistakes in fabrications happens from time to time . Is good to have it in hand , my Adapter cost was around 30 £ this one is expensive
I wanna see it after 10 minutes of work... gotta have a bucket of batteries behind you
It's actually quite good on battery discharge, you'd be surprised. Although my shop has at least 20 batteries on the shelf. I have 3 of those impacts they're the best ones I've ever had. We had several 900 dollar snap on's, we gave them away when those milwaukee ones showed up.
those milwaukee impacts are pretty good with the 5.0 battery. I can take off atleast 20 cars worth of tires before the battery will need to be charged.
Well I guess it depends if you want the hole square with your part surface. Doing it by hand will not produce a hole square with the surface. Does the print have a perpendicularity call out?
I would like to see what the reamer looks like after impacted through, lol.
I'm a union ironworker and when erecting structural structures we use reamers and impacts when bolting up holes are misfabricated if you use some kind of oil or lube a reamer will last a long time. I can tell you one thing though. China made are garbage!!! USA, German and Austrian made will last more.
@@elmeromero1794 hahaha, I'm gonna have to side with yang z, but only because your an iron worker trying to talk machining. I'm sure they last a long time but that impact has got to be rougher on the reamer than the mag drill.
All fouled up so you gotta buy another one.... And another one..... Etc. Planned obsolescence. But like most things, european or American manufacturers tend to use high quality steel and use proper tempering and hardening processes that seem to be lacking in Chinese made products. Any machinists will tell you a continuous cut is always preferred to an interrupted cut.

A Reamer seems like something Milwaukee owners get whenever they buy tools..... lol
Milwaukee had been praying out a lot of high quality products for a while now. But you are correct sometimes the prices are rediculous. Some of their lithium led lights (flashlights) had a $80 price tag. About 6 months later they were selling for over 30% off.
GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD..AAAA+
As an iron worker it will work but it will f up Reimer not meant to be used with an impact.
Hi Eulises. Many thanks for your comment and your interest in our products. To put your mind at ease both our ImpactaMag Reamers and VersaDrive Reamers have been specifically engineered for use with Impact tools and are fully impact rated. They are also dual hardened and coated in a GoldMax Titanium coating to reduce burn out. Used correctly they will out perform and outlast other reamers whether used on rotary or impact tools.
If that's the case and I would love to try one

Good
What’s the point with the tapered reamer when it goes all the way thru too the biggest diameter
The taper allows the reamer to be inserted into smaller gaps when holes are misaligned. It also allows for staged cutting as the tapered end cuts the first section of the hole and then moves through to the next part of the tool as the hole gradually widens.
This is very good system but you please tell me what chamical you spray on the sheet
It's a shining agent, makes the surface finish shiny and durable after drilling
@@rixogtr Utter bollox! It's a cutting agent you idiot!!
what is the purpose of that spray before using the reamer tool?
The spray is a lubricant to help reduce heat build up during cutting and prolong tool life
Hah, an apprentice will fuck that reamer up in no time.
What???
The only problem I see is the fella using the impact gun don't own the impact gun or the reamer. If he did, he would never do this.
How to locate the reamer into exactly on the hole?
Like are you asking that for real dude????
I think he means how do you make sure it's square to the job
Gps!
@@craigmandall9420 obviously not by doing it by hand with an impact wrench
@@ipadize They did a better job with just the impact. A relatively lightweight tool will find center on such a hard object. They didn't even line up the mag drill straight so that hole is more off than the impact.
Sprays the coolant on the part of the tool that doesn't touch the part!
Obviously drill is being pushed down slower
Es pistola de impacto??? O taladro????
Precio??
Why does everyone use a hammer drill to do everything these days? Like driving screws into wood, crazy! What condition was that reamer in after being hammered, wrecked in no time!
These have actually been designed to be used with a impact wrench.. they make a range taps for impact wrenches too.. But yeah a normal reamer would get wrecked in no time
👍🔥👏
why would u do tht?
JASON KAM you deer
Why not??
Thought I'd see a broken wrist
Kuat berapa lubang...
Ok?... so one is precise and the other is not, so what’s the point of this video?!?!?!
witch on wil tolerate hard work ?
Um..... Sorry boys but thats not how that tool is used.
explain why on hell you would use an impact gun ? obivously the 5 years plus engineering training at colleage was missing that trick.
To ream that size that deep, you need a significant level of torque. The torsion created by said torque would rip a drill right out of your hands radially. That's why the base on the drill press is magnetic, to combat that. Since your arms cannot combat that, the same action can be performed in rapid impact torquing blows rather than constant and increasing torsion.
Chris P
thank you but. still why as reamers are dam expensive and if you do a job do it the correct way not back yard cave man ugggh hammer s**t out of it ( pritty much what the impact is doing)
sorry im not up my on arse like you and if people have learning difficultys it can not be helped so before jumping in like a complete C##t think ! could it be fat finger syndrome or genuine learning issue . typical moron
That's a great answer Chris, we couldn't have explained that better ourselves. Thanks!
Special tap that's impact rated
