The trick is having patience to wiggle it out. The housing is delicate and will crack if forced roughly.

"Shame on Nissan" a simple hole in the metal panel where the bulb is located would have made an easy two minute fix lol, I guess they don't want people to even be able to change a tail light bulb, unnecessary procedure to inconvenience most car owners.

@Romano perhaps it was designed this way to prevent water leakage into the trunk from tail light seals’ failure. See a lot of it in older Hondas.
