Ah thanks Nikki! Have been making these for a while now but I like your method of sewing the elastic both ends first!! hate having to mess at the end with tying a knot! Big help! thank you!!!!!!
Nikki, as always, you are the very best. Clear, concise and extremely personable, someone I'd really like to know. Wish you'd come and visit in Tucson, Arizona. My husband is a world class chef -- yum yum. He'll cook anything you like.
I am excited for this project. But I wanna cry, I can't find your FB group. I always come to your youtube first to see if you have projects I am trying to do. Thank you for helping me learn to sew!!
Thank you!!! What are you interested in sewing? DM me if you have an idea. I have been holding retreats lately and sewing groups so I haven't had much time to put out new videos. I will try!!!
@@SewnByNikki any new bags tutorials. I am making Ribbon Skirts and want to make bags to go with them, I have tried other tutorials...I prefer yours though because you are more clear in your instructions. Today I sewed a bag together all sorts of wonky because the video instructor was not clear enough; there was more music and highspeed sewing than actual verbal instructions 😂🤦🏽♀️
I use French seams for pillow cases, pants and skirts. Love them HOWEVER my channel is geared towards beginners and I know french seams are not for beginners. They, many of my regular followers, have to first learn the concept of putting the correct pattern pieces together, seam lines and making sure they're straight - then we'll get to French seams. Understanding sewing wrong sides together first would totally confuse them. :) I love them though.... makes everything look nice and clean!
I just prefer not to. You can always alter any project to make it according to your likes and needs.... best part of sewing your own items! I just prefer the wide opening at the top so when I want to shove a batch of bags there, I can. It also saves me time when sewing to sell them. Enjoy making the products for your needs - it's the best part of sewing!
This is the 2nd video I watched of you, and I had to un-subscribe because it's driving me nuts how many times you say "OKAY'... I'm sorry, but it's really annoying as hell to keep hearing it every other word... If you can control that word I will re-subscribe ...
I have saw other videos, however, I like this one better😊
Thank you so much for that! I try!!!!
Tks for sharing this project with us 😃

Thumbs up for the video. Suggestion: use a french seam for the side seam, then all of the raw edges will be enclosed.
