    I have a ton of 1/4 inch elastic and have been trying to figure out what to do with it. I'm a relative beginner so this will be great for Christmas presents!!

    Just made two of these following the video. Really love how you explained things, kept it simple and not too technical and right to the point and not condescending. I also really LOVED your tip about putting a pin at the end of the elastic to stop it feeding through, BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for a lovely tutorial vid ^.^

    WELL DONE! Easy explanation. Thanks for speeding up tape when sewing etc. Who hasn’t run out of bobbin at the wrong time? I especially like the way you attached the elastic to the fabric before sewing the vertical seam. Also like how the handle was attached. I’m not a beginner, but this certainly qualifies as a beginner project. Another use for these bags: After washing my hands I dry them on a half sheet of paper towel, then I let it air dry. I store these half-towels in a bag like this for cleaning projects. I keep one in the kitchen and bathroom. Another bag holds small fabric scraps. I make travel bags too. I sew up the bottom and run a narrow ribbon or bias tape through the top casing. . Each one for a different purpose. I use one bag for panties, another for socks

      OMG yes! I am making these as well for my panties and socks. I also want to try this for wiping cloths for my kitchen. Thanks for the ideas! *hugs*

    Can you use the same method to sew down the elastic when sewing clothing such as pj bottoms or do you need to see the elastic piece together? I’ve never used this method before. Clever!

    • @SewHungryHippie
      @SewHungryHippie  11 месяцев назад +1

      It can work if you do the elastic first, then sew the side seam together of the pant leg after, then the elastic is "joined" and there isn't flat space.
