This is a pay off for 8 years of character development - with all the characters’ adventures and ups and downs. This episode had so many intertwined characters in one place having genuinely meaningful moments. Incredible. Not a wasted moment! And because of their shared threat it was almost a naked exposure of who and what each of these characters has become. There are no more politics, no more games. It showed you who they REALLY were because they have nothing else to lose. And if you match it with episode one it shows you how far each of them has come. I can think of no other show that has ever done it as well.
