Really sorry that your having to go through all this again, your such a brave girl and it’s amazing that your able to share what your going through, you have loads of people out there that care about you ! Stay strong and think positive, fingers crossed that it all goes as best as it can, your a fighter keep fighting x
OH MY GOD. I was watching you so much when i was like 13/14? Now im 18 and you gave me so much hope with my rib hump and scoliosis after my surgery when i couldnt even move. Now im pole dancing for a month and i feel im alive.
I've had 30 surgeries in my lifetime. It's like riding a bike, you get on it and keep moving. It may sound appealing, even enchanting not to get up and move but you do it anyway. When I had my second knee replaced it turned out to be a cake walk. I just repeated what I had learned from the 1st one. Pain management is key to successful recovery. Once it find what works for you your doctor will give you what you need for a wonderful outcome. Hang in there. It will be ok.😇
Julia you are the strongest person in the world i have been watching all you vlogs and you are amazing and your sister is amazing too. Just stay strong because you can do it
I had a spinal fusion over 3/4 of my spine for scoliosis when I was 12 Im nearly 22 now. I was on a gymnastics team after my surgery from age 14-19 and I can still flick, handspring, round off tuck back, foreword walk over (very rusty now) and back bend still (can’t back walk over but didn’t need to cause I can flick to one). I coach gymnastics and still train a little now and then. Don’t give up on still doing those things in dance, but definitely allow time for recovery and to learn skills again.
Wishing you the best of luck with your new surgery whenever it might be :) your such a strong and brave young women so I know your gonna be absolutely fine. Stay strong ❤️ sending lots of love to you, you’ve got this girly x
I had my scoliosis surgery when I was 14 (72 degrees - got reduced to 35) and my entire back is either fused or had rods - I think you will be surprised how much flexibility you will regain over time ❤ Good luck with your surgery lovely, I'm sure it will all go great ❤
Hi Julia! :) definetely harder having another surgery: we anticipate everything, we know how hard it will be... I'm having trouble deciding whether I'll do a third surgery on my knee or not. Cause I'm okay, cannot do sport yet but things are okay so maybee I need to accept that and move on... we all want to get better but we also seek a pain free environment so I know how difficult it must be for you.. :/ thinking of you and sending loads of love! You know your strenght and your passion and thrive for dance will help you keeping focus!
It breaks my heart knowing that you still need more surgery 💔😢. I hope this helps and that it goes well. I really want to see you dance again, I pray that it's possible. Please could you send an update letting us know when your surgery will be? We're all behind you in this, you can win this.
i had a fusion last july from t3-t12 it’s definitely hard to get used to not being able to bend certain ways and can be super scary but it’s helped me so much
you are so brave and inspiring, I got diagnosed with scoliosis and now my curve is 75 degrees and I’m on the waiting list for surgery. I look up to u a lot as u have been through far more than me and now that this has happened with your back I feel terrible… I hope you get the surgery if you want it just remember it’s the inside that counts ✨✨❤️❤️❤️
I just got to your channel after watching how an op on scoliosis is being performed. I went through multiple surgeries myself(not related to scoliosis) and i wish all the best for you. You are right,if its the best option for you-do it. We have only 1 life and we want to live it the best way.
I agree I had a fusion and then had a second surgery 2 /3 years later and basically had a variation of it all and found it harder because I knew what was coming, however you know your strength more so in that sense it’s easier cx
I had short fusion without correction for my kyphoscoliosis and then later on for correction another one with removal, breaking, new and longer fusion and correction. I’m very pleased!
Hey Julia I’m in the same position - I lost curvature in my lumbar spine and they need to fix my scoliosis (I had my lumbar spine fused when I was 13, and I’m 27 now) I agree it definitely is scarier particularly how invasive it is. My surgeons planning to do one op and fuse from my Neck down, so I get how huge it is! Good luck bud! Just remember it’s crap now but it’ll be so much better in the future in terms of pain
i know this doesn’t mean anything to you but i’m so sorry you have to go through this! i’ve had one and having a second which is spinal fusion but can’t compare to you. i hope when you do have it that you have a speedy recovery and can get back to normal :)
i am amazed at your strength and i wish more people were like you what about your front rib? would that be done with this surgery or would you need another surgery for it? sending lots of love and best wishes for surgery and recovery PS your BF is a very lucky guy
I have to have surgery at sum point but this covid stuff has mested it up I have pain right now to the point I have to lay down. if I lay in bed for a very long time like all day and then like half the night my back will start to feel uncomfortable and will hurt. a When I go to school and sit down I can't like lean over because of I feel embarrassed because of the hump in my back. I just want the scoliosis pain to go away and if I sit for a long time and I will feel uncomfortable my back will start hurting or if like I'm doing something like moving stuff around or doing stuff like wiping stuff down or standing in one spot for a long time it starts hurting my back and I can't run that long because it will start hurting my back and my shoulders are not level my right rib is lower than my left and I can bend more to my left and than to my right and I'm not that flexible because of the scoliosis I love doing stuff like mountain biking and hiking because I live in Brevard North Carolina which is the land of the waterfalls. people saying at school that I look like egor and on top of that my sister thinks I'm just dramatic about it I'm saying I have pain in my back to the point that when they tell me to do anything or get up I don't feel like it and sometimes I feel like when I get up From sleep I have no energy at all and if I do hiking or mountain biking or just riding my bike fast and standing up riing it makes my back hurt really bad and will cause excruciating pain. So I have had scoliosis my whole life but it hasn't been that bad but about a year and a half ago my brother brought me to bike jumps and I didn't know how to do it and I would originally just do BMX my back never hurt I never noticed anything until I did bike jumps I was going really fast and I only have front brakes and I didn't think about it and I slammed on my front brake. My head hit the ground and my back had squished in and ever since then my back has been getting worse and worse and worse and I visited the doctor and they said I'm going to need spinal fusion surgery
I followed your VBT story from BGT and your most recent diagnosis of Kyphosis that you said you need surgery for. I have thoracic kyphosis 85 degrees and need two surgeries (front and back) to correct it. I got referred on the NHS but am still waiting for an appointment- got referred in December but still waiting for an appointment which I was told will be in August and then 6 months to 1 year wait for surgery itself. I decided to go private to get diagnosed, may I ask how you got an NHS appointment for Kyphosis and surgery so quick? Best wishes, Laura Harvey
Are u growing taller after ur surgery please reply I have scoliosis too I had done my surgery 2019 but I m not completely straight can u plese reply I need ur help ples🙏🏻🙏🏻
