That’s a lot of tractor for that little implement
It’s running a nine shank ripper 18 inches in the ground at 7 mph. It knows it’s back there. When it gets into a highly compacted area on the headlands or where the trucks parked to load, they can come to a dead stop real quick.

Pretty sure he was sleeping. I know I’ve had a few naps in the 9rx.

Main stream is finally liking them
The CAT 65 was the first rubber track tractor in 1987 on two tracks and the Case IH 9370 Quadtrac was the first 4 tracked tractor on 1997.

@@donaldellis3609yes the shanks are probably 30 in or could be 36 inches long. We do not own a ripper like this but have a different style

Maybe 3” deep you can almost see the knives, still an impressive tractor I can not afford even if I took out 4 mortgages

Do t worry 640 will be mid sized sooner than many expect.
Can’t wait to see how many batteries it’s going to take to make a 1000hp run 14 straight hours and how many days to charge them back up again. John Deere needs to be building an 18or19 litre engine give up on cranking 640 with a power bulge out of this 13 and change litre crap.
Well, those days are here. The 9rx 690 is powered with an 18 liter, but it looks like shit tho.

That is a big tractor for a little plow
You have to consider it is running 8 mph running 18 inches deep in red clay. The 640 hp knows the 915 V Ripper is back there. The 9 shank runs down the road easier. The farm has an 11 shank 915 on a 670 hp Fendt 1167 and it’s as wide as the road and not fun to transport.

This 9RX has a drawn 915. If it was on a 3pt it would turn much tighter.

They hold up well on pavement. You get about three thousand hours out of a set of tracks.

Do farmers who run this tractor specifically ever talk about performance of the newer rx’s compared to the older ones? I’m curious because if your familiar with a 9620rx they shifted slow. I’m wondering if that’s been improved on the new models.
Yes. The 2016 9620RX had a hydraulic whine in the cab compared to the 9620R. They early 9620RXs were a little rough on turns. The tractor kind of rumbled. The 9RX 640 is much quieter and smoother.
