How Taxi Drivers Treat Blacks In Morocco🇲🇦

- Everyone told me to avoid the North Side of Morocco. Stick to the South they said, as it would be to dangerous for me in the North due to black immigrants causing problems on that side of the country. For those of you that dont know, every year hundreds or even thousands of immigrants try to make it into Spain through cities as Tangier which im in right now, in the hopes of greener pastures and they seem to be an annoyance to the locals and local authorities.
As soon as I heard that it would be to dangerous, I couldnt resist the opportunity to go see, for myself. Today I am meeting with Musa, a Senegalese that fled his country and this is his story.
Pleas support Musa through this Go Fund me link and share this video:

This guy is totally wrong taxi is a problem for Moroccans as well. I’m African myself and this my fifth times visiting Morocco from London. They are so kind and humble. I’m welcome every where and I even get invited to their weddings. I have so many Moroccans friends both boys and girls

Dear son of the evil .... me as an moroccan , i have problems to take a taxi in morocco ... It has nothing to do with black or white
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your willingness to engage in this conversation.
I' like to remind you of the gentleman You met in Essaouira, who had such a positive experience and was treated with respect and kindness. His story is a testament to the welcoming nature of Moroccan society.
it's crucial to acknowledge that sometimes people may feel mistreated due to misunderstandings or lack of awareness about the local culture and the shared history.
I want to add a personal note to this conversation-I am a descendant of a Sub-Saharan African family, and my DNA reflects over 30% Sub-Saharan African ancestry. I have spent my entire life in Morocco, like dozens of my ancestors, and believe me when I say that I was color-blind; I never once felt that I was any different due to the color of my skin.
Ironically, it was only when I moved to the United States that I first felt the significance of the difference in skin color. This experience has made me even more appreciative of the inclusive and harmonious environment I enjoyed in Morocco.
I encourage you to consider the broader context and ensure that the information you share is accurate and fair. Let's all work together to promote a more nuanced and truthful narrative about Morocco and its diverse society. Accurate information can lead to a more inclusive and understanding world.
Another lovely share my brother, I think everywhere in the world, we meet different people who treat us differently, whichever way, I think such experiences makes us strong.Again thanks for sharing
Very true
Thanks for your continuous support
Is really sad man
We need to appreciate ourselves as black people 🎉

The audacity of so many Moroccans discrediting and marginalizing Musa's opinion and experiences in Morocco.
Not a single Moroccan have walked in Musa's shoes. Therefore, having no right to discreit or shun Musa's or any other Black immigrant's experience and perception of Morocco.
Someone who comes to a country without an legitimate degree or work experience and just want their wishes to be fulfilled without providing any value, is just ignorant and unreflected. He is complaining about the daily income, even though it is the normale rate. He is complaining that it is difficult to find accommodations, even though it is a problem that all inhabitants have. He is complaining about not being welcomed in a cafe/restaurant, even though it maybe not the case in all spots. He is seeing Morocco just as a bridge to get to Europe while wanting the bridge to be fancy and luxurious. He is expecting too much while not being a part of the community and giving something back in efforts. He knows that his dreams are not coming true, and blaming others for it. Finally, I personally think that his perspective is not representing all of the immigrants in Morocco. But still do I hope that he stays there, reflect and build a life for him and his family. Europe is sometimes not the way!
Europe, is difficult for them, I believe that.
Hey man. Here are some thoughts on this video. First, the caption is click bait :). Second, we have in Morocco many moroccan black people (the locals) and you can go and ask them if they are mistreated by their countrymen. I bet you no one will affirm such opinion. So if there is a difference in treatement, then it is simply not coming from the skin color but rather from the status, a black man can be : a local // illegal immigrant // african // non african // poor // rich, each status its own treatement. I think some moroccan people are affraid of the illegal immigrants because of threatening acts that a number of them have done ( robbery, violence...), so people become somewhat mistrustful. For the taxi incident, i mean moroccan people, in a big city, also struggle with them, ask anyone anywhere. and for the job i can totally understand that they get paid less, i mean they are illegal workers and illegal workers always get paid less. Is it too much less, i can't say. Another problem with illegal immigrants, is that they aren't stable, you know their goal is to get to Europe, so as an employer, you will not put someone to work and live with the risk that he may leave at any time. Moreover, these people can't speak the local language, and the majority of moroccans (poor) don't really speak other languages, this makes it harder to feel close to them and to get to know them as you can't dialogue in a deep way as to feel sympathetic towards them (Sympathy comes rather from the "poor" status they exhibit). I don't say there aren't racist moroccans, they certainly exist but i don't think there are that many. As someone who have seen and known many illegal immigrants moroccans and others in europe, i can say that in the majority of cases, they regret it, because it never matches their expectations, and for a lot of them they find themselves emprisoned in a foreign country i.e. they wish to go back to their home but they can't because no good amount of money or more importantly because of the image they'll give in their home when they comeback emptyhanded, and maybe worse than how they were before. This is really sad. So to my african brother, think very much before you commit. Wish you all Luck and Success :)

Firstly, Morocco is located in Africa and a large number of Moroccans have brown skin. We Moroccans do not treat people according to color, but rather according to competence and legal status. A taxi is not allowed to transport a person without official documents.
When you say black people, you are practicing racism, and we Moroccans hate this word. You may find some psychopaths who say the same thing as you, and they exist all over the world
Brother Morocco is not a first-world country to gives foreigners their needs and requirements Even Moroccans find it difficult to find jobs I'm an example myself I am jobless at the moment
I hear you
Dear son of the evil , You deliberately look for bad points and try to make them as big and bad as possible

There are a lot of points he made which are simply not true.
There are a lot of hard working people african brothers who are part of the society and equal in anyway. Color plays no role in todays society. Maybe in his head.
Tip for mister Musa: If he want to back he can go to the senegal embassy from where he can get repatriated to Senegal. No one is stopping him and this also won't cost him anything.
Thank you my brother, I’m African from Gambia in Morocco. Moroccans are the most humble people I ever met. You’re kind and peaceful
9:45 there where the problem starting , no house is abandoned in tangier . People second home or holiday appartement get broken is that OK hell no

If this guy is suffering too much than go back to Senegal….. this one of the immigrant who wants to cross the sea. So funny he blame the Moroccans for his actions. Leave the country and find your peace. There is no need yo be negative about Morocco.
If you don’t like Morocco just leave the country as a black man or whatsoever. Same as the westerns would say! Ciaoo….

I am sorry, it is not because of being black or white, but it is about being without legal papers. Normal , it is not abour race. Moroccans are not racist

seems difficult for blacks in other countries i wish that in the future it will be the other way around balck countries outsmart the west and became the most successful and richest in the world, to get immigrants from all countries. and then you guys can do them just like how they did you

I don’t believe that a restaurant will tell a guy to not come in because you’re black but more like because Musa looks like he is drunk or on drug.
I mean zee how he want to seat on somebody’s doorsteps at the beginning ? That’s not normal behavior.
Sorry to say that about Musa but he doesn’t seem to act with proper manners.
Don’t forget that these migrants are about 40 000 per year around Tangiers sometimes they stay there years before behind able to cross succesfully mean while they wait they live off morrocans charity
I came across your video discussing racial issues in Morocco, and I want to express my concern regarding the misinformation and rumors being spread. While I believe in the importance of open dialogue and freedom of expression, I am deeply disappointed when inaccurate information is presented as truth.
As a Moroccan black man, I have never experienced any form of discrimination based on my skin color within my country. Morocco is known for its diversity and the coexistence of various ethnicities and backgrounds, and it is essential that we present a fair and accurate portrayal of our nation.
Misrepresenting a country or its people can have serious consequences, not only for individuals but for the broader society. Therefore, I implore you to reconsider the information you are sharing and to ensure that it is based on factual experiences and evidence. Spreading false information can harm our nation's reputation and create unnecessary divisions.
While I do not wish to take legal action, I must emphasize the importance of responsibility and integrity when discussing sensitive topics like racism. My hope is that we can engage in more constructive and fact-based conversations about Morocco and its multicultural society in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and I trust that we can all work together to promote a more accurate understanding of our country and its people.
Thanks for your comment. I invite you to share your factual experience and evidence to debunk what this gentleman has shared with us. Until than its your words against his.
Morocco doesn’t difference between the colour of people it is the foreigners like you whom are trying to spread a bad picture about Morocco. If you feel sorry about Africans then please send some financial help to them instead of the Africans trying to cross the Mediterranean illegally and risking their life!
@@Flowers-777 Indeed, I am Moroccan, and my perspective is based on my personal experiences in Morocco. However, the positive experiences I've had in Morocco as a black individual reflect the broader welcoming and inclusive nature of Moroccan society towards people of different backgrounds. While I can't speak for every black person's experience in Morocco, it's essential to recognize that Morocco is a diverse nation, and many black individuals, both native and foreign, have shared similar positive experiences in this country. Ultimately, our aim is to promote accurate information and foster a better understanding of the experiences of various individuals within Morocco. By sharing our positive experiences, we hope to counteract misconceptions and promote unity and tolerance in our society
"Hello @Flowers-777! It's wonderful to connect with a neighbor from Cape Verde. We share not only geographical proximity but also a sense of community within the African continent. Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences; it's through open and respectful dialogue that we can learn from one another and build bridges across our diverse cultures and backgrounds. 🌍🤝"

This happens everywere in the world. No documents means sometimes stupid people will take advantage of your situation. It doesnt mean that Moroccans are racist only a very small minorty is racist. Moroccans are proud Africans as well and after the fall of Muamar Kadafi Morocco is trying to take proudley the leading role of Africa. Racism is a no go for Morocco.

What do you expect? in anything in life when you do anything or go anywhere with a mindset, you will meet that mindset, was it positive or negative. If you go to heaven with a hell mindset you will find hell in heaven. You cannot judge by individual stories, judging takes a lot of experiments and data not asking individual mindsets with their own limited experiences. Open your heart and love and you will find more love. And never judge!

I'm impressed by the cognitive dissonance I often observe in many comments here. When black brothers share their unfortunate encounters with some Moroccans, instead of condemning such unfair behavior, some choose to lecture, dismissing these experiences of racism and bigotry as mere rumors and misinformation. This is not only condescending but also adds insult to injury. Being a Moroccan myself and residing in the northern part of Morocco, my observation is that a significant number of Moroccans tend to exhibit a superiority complex, particularly towards Black Sub-Saharan individuals.

Black people are ours brothers and sisters and our King want that give a good behaviour with them. They are regularisations of migrants. It s just very important that there are a lot of people illegal and despite it they can eat and have to wear only with helps Moroccan people for free. The man say it and I imagine that it s true that in some restaurant do not have job or that taxi don t want because of problems with some subsaharian. U need to express the context : there are a lot of illegals and there are some people in Tangier that they have their home invaded by illegals that have all broke and stole water and electric. Despite it Moroccans people treat them. It s not racist we are Muslims and know Hadith rassoul 3lai salât w salam “ There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab. Neither is the white superior over the black, nor is the black superior over the white -- except by piety."
Just question of bad behaviour of some subsaharian not racism. It s important for all to have “remise en question” . The man on video say I can’t stand out imagine he will work? It s for that they are paid less than other because majority work less. It s just logical
Thanks you my Brother, I’m African in Morocco. It’s the most peaceful and friendly people.
Moroccan are hard worker if he wants free money then he should sell drogues, ask any security guard he will tell you that he work 12 hours for the same price .
We have 0 respect for those beggars
I have a real story happened with sub Saharan. A group 3 or 4 ask a Moroccan man for food on Friday at time of prayer. That man offered for them a dish and asked them when finish food just put empty dish Infront of house. The man went to mosque. But the people after finished they mock food of house asking wife to get her dishes. Guess what happened after that. They attacked that wife and raped her and smagling. How do you want local to trust ?

This opinion is not true , because in Morocco there are a lot of poor people there are millions of Moroccans coming to this city of Tangier from all over Morocco and outside Morocco, and everyone was suffering the same situation as this Sengali; (( you must not lie because you live a bad situation ))
I am originally from the town not far from Tangier; About 100 km, I m unemployed for 2 years, despite the fact that I have university degrees
There's many Black men and women in morocco they are only moroccans ,racism is all over the world but i don't think that moroccan People are racist. I have no problems with Black women like you with White ?

There are just too many sub-Saharan people with no skills entering Morocco. I've seen them begging at traffic lights, very aggressive with local people. What's the sense of leaving your own country just to go and beg in someone else's country? Sort out their own country, get rid of corruption. I know Moroccan black people and there is no prejudice against them. In Meknès there are many, the descendants of the black workers used by Moulay Ismail in the 18th century. The Gnawa 🎵 music originates from them. I do feel that you were digging hard with Moussa to establish a preconceived notion that Moroocans are racist. They're not.
As a black American who has visited Morocco 2 times. They are skill less most are just beggars as if they think it is Moroccans obligation to help them instead of the failed states they fled from. My brother is married to a lovely Moroccan woman. I’ll be marrying a Moroccan woman soon inshaallah. The solution isn’t to keep fleeing to Tunisia, Algeria or Morocco. Subsaharan Africans need to build industries in their respective countries.
I don’t think Moroccans are racist but they do have some prejudices. All people have prejudices or some negative stereotypes of people. Overall Moroccans are cool people. I’ll be visiting Fez, Morocco in a few months.
Hhhh this is not true the first thing that the majority of North African are black also we are Muslim so we don’t have that kind of racism or this kind of problem he just trying to get some money from you this is it and I don’t blame him maybe he need it
actually they’re living better than us as natives we have the same rights the only difference is when it come to election and this is normal because they don’t have nationality they can’t vote 😅😂hhhh and we still love everyone no matter what his colour is or language peace ✌️and you have to do some real recherches if you are interested before sharing any kind of fake information brother
Why in your all videos you talk about black people in Morocco ??
Its my niche
Why are you obsessed with your color?
Its the algorithm
@@roniflip😂😂😂 savage answer
Dear son of the evil , morocco has maybe 30% unemployment , you find it normal that they give a job to someone who is illigal in the land and let a moroccan or someone who is legal in morocco ?
Doesnt mean you should exploit them, atleast offer fair pay and not a significant difference from what legal workers get.
Work is Hard in morrocco its life if morocco was good country we woulndt be in europe ourselfs@@roniflip

Son of the devil, what are you trying to do? You're coming here with this all this negativity provoking negative thoughts from those that are struggling, color doesn't mean anything in Morocco, everyone gets treated the same
You want me to only review food and bargain on markets?
I have seen the videos of how they treated migrants in 🇲🇦. They killed and also dropped them off in the desert.😡
No that s in Tunisia …
Why are you coercing these people to bring out the bad about Morocco? Obviously you're already sold on the idea that all Moroccans are racist.
He's not coercing anyone, Musa is speaking his own opinion.
If you are so convinced there is no racism against Blacks in Morocco...internet search "Racism in Morocco" and see what appears before your eyes.
