I worked there throughout the 80s - 90s! And at Reata Pass, and at The Cooks Dhack and at Greasewood Flats! Thank you for sharing this. I see Big Marv cooking near the end of this vid. I just saw him a year ago, and sadly his wife Sharon passed away this past year. I am going to share this on y fb to all my "Hill family".

I played in one of the four bands there in 1974. Dave McCann and Country Revolution. We played in a small bar area away from the bigger bands, close to where the outdoor comedy troupe did their western skit outside with the fake hangman's stand, cannot, outhouse, and the guy on the roof of the restaurant who would throw a rubber chicken off the roof after the cannon boom. We had fun there.

Back in the 1970s..there use to be a pinnacle peak steakhouse in Roseville California not far from Folsom lake.
It was the best steakhouse I'd ever been to.
We use to go there alot during the early 70s.
There were always separate plates for everything because the steak would cover the whole plate.
They had ties hanging all over the ceiling and the reason for this was that they wanted to encourage people to come as you are without getting dressed up.
If you showed up wearing a tie..bells would go off and two girls would show up at your table..one girl holding a pillow with a pair of scissors on it and the other girl would take the scissors and cut your tie off.
Then they would give you a free drink.
The atmosphere was always comfortable and fun and the steaks were excellent..they always cooked them just right.
But then that was 40 and 50 years ago when restaurants in general were much better than they are today. I dont remember ever being disappointed. That's why eating out was always such a treat..not like today..today its hit and miss which is why I dont eat out as often anymore.

Very sadly, they closed a few years ago. I went there in the spring of '73 and it was way the heck out in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure that the location is now in the middle of some gawd-awful housing development.
