    THIS IS WONDERFUL!!! Cesar and little Shirley! Cesar did so much that he should be remembered for.....but it's always "The Joker". People need to see more of all that he did!!! Beautiful quality on this one!

      He’s great in this role, it’s too bad that Hollywood didn’t use him more often- - especially in leading roles.

    Touching. I loved watching all the old films romanticising the Near East like the Thief of Baghdad and other pre-islamic folklore from the 1001 Nights growing up. As an adult, I went to live in Jordan and was there when 9/11 happened until after the Second Gulf War broke out. I saw the great Iraqi singer Ilhalm al Madfai in concert bursting into tears at Mawtini, a song meaning My Homeland in Arabic, and I know firsthand we are all TERRORISED by agents playing us in a game. Salaam-Shalom-Peace

    Was this movie also in color, or am I mis-remembering?

    • @heatherlohr8730
      @heatherlohr8730 8 лет назад +2

      No, it was in color as well, but only via VHS. I have the entire collection on VHS, but when I buy the DVD collections/versions, it's always in black and white. You're not mis-remembering. You're just awesome for remembering both the color and black and white version of Shirley Temple and Cesar Romero.

      Her movies were filmed in black and white but in later years, colonized versions came out.

    Grandfather! Grandfather! What was going on in the 30s that Shirley was always seen being sent to her grandfather?
